RP ThreadDiscussion
The Holy Grail War. Seven Masters and their seven Servants, pitted against one another in a free-for-all battle for the Holy Grail, a fabled artifact that will grant the winner's wish. In the past, there have been five of these wars, all in Fuyuki City in Japan. In the fifth, however, the Holy Grail itself was destroyed, the corruption that had infested the artifact since the end of the third at last dispelled. For Fuyuki City, this was the end. Elsewhere... The fewest remnants of the Holy Grail were recovered. Several powerful American magi put their plan into action, reconstructing the grail and transplanting the entire concept of a holy grail war to the United States. There has been utter disregard for any attempts to stop or advise against this action. In the city of Redrock, a new Grail War is set to begin.
So, Fate/ RP! Just like a regular Grail War, there are Masters and Servants. Unlike a regular Grail War, there is no limit to the number of Masters and Servants due to a flaw in the new grail. First off: - Setting: The city of Redrock is relatively small, and in an unidentified inland state. To the south there is a lake, to the east a large forest, and a mountain range to the west. Redrock boasts a large shopping district, the "Redrock Range" amusement park, and a vast underground system of tunnels(originally built as a primitave drainage system. A popular spot for tourists, and remarkably well-kept). The crime rate is generally low, but not nonexistent, and aside from a fair amount of tourism due to Redrock Range and the underground catacombs, Redrock city is fairly quiet.
- Arturia is strictly off-limits for use as a servant. Considering the multiple endings and such of Fate/stay night, and the fact that this RP takes place after Fate/stay night, I do not want to determine which ending came to pass. Considering Arturia is no longer in the cycle in several of them, she is off limits here.
- Keep in mind that Grail Wars aren't meant to be seen by normal people. Secrecy is important, so remember that when RPing.
- Unlike a regular Grail War, there is no limit to the number of Servants allowed in this.
- Have fun with this, that's what it's here for after all.

Aside from her Master, she is timid around human beings. However, nonhumans(including other Servants) will be encountered with a girl who is something of a blabbermouth, releasing everything that she is too shy to say to humans in a semi-coherent stream of consciousness. She is even more willing to converse with the demonic entities she summons. She is heavily attached to a doll she refers to as Gretchen and will be upset by any attempts to take it away. Caster enjoys collecting stuffed animals, the weirder the better. But still huggable. Stats: - Strength: E
- Endurance: E
- Agility: C
- Magical Energy: A

- Noble Phantasm: C
Class Skills: - Territory Creation: B
The skill to build a special terrain that is advantageous to oneself as a magus.
- Magecraft: C
Knowledge about modern Magecraft.
Personal Skills: - Demon Summoning: A+++
Capable of summoning any kind of demon aside from True Devils, and harnessing them to do her bidding. Given that summoned demons are not magic, this allows Caster to bypass magic resistance.
Noble Phantasms: - The Night of Wallachia-Mephistopheles(C):
The fabled presence that Caster summoned in life, Mephistopheles is a dark, formless entity. By invoking its name, Caster can summon Mephistopheles to materialize the fears of her opponent. While she believes it to be a demon(and holds no love for it, unlike other entities she summons), Mephistopheles is actually the 13th Dead Apostle Ancestor, the Night of Wallachia. The fears it materializes will attack those who they were materialized from relentlessly, until they are killed or they kill their target. Mephistopheles is capable of targeting hundreds at once.
- Gretchen, the Pure Maiden(D~A+):
Gretchen was Caster's closest friend in life. The Noble Phantasm transforms Caster's Gretchen doll into the real girl as Caster herself views her. An angelic existence, Gretchen possesses a personality of pure innocence. Her very presence and touch is damaging; While she can only exist for a few minutes at a time, she merely needs to touch a servant to do damage. However, to servants of good or neutral alignments, this damage is not severe unless contact is prolonged. However, when a servant of an evil alignment is touched by Gretchen, they will be burnt as if by intensely hot flames. This touch is lethal to evil-aligned servants if prolonged for ten seconds or more.
Misc: Caster was born as Amalie Georg Faust, the daughter of a German magus. Her Mother died of an ongoing illness only a year after Faust's birth, leaving her entirely in the care of her father. As Faust grew, her father realized that she had a rare and unique elemental affinity: Demons. Her father believed that an ability to summon demons with such an element would lead to reaching the root of all knowledge in his lifetime, and thus forced a young Faust to spend her time locked in her away, summoning demons. She managed to befriend another girl her age, named Gretchen, on one of the few days her father allowed to leave her home. However, her father continued to allow Faust and Gretchen to meet. Faust was not allowed to meet anyone else, as her father believed that further human interaction would distract her from her summonings. However, he allowed Gretchen to continue to visit Faust because the girl reminded him of his late wife. Eventually, after many summonings, Faust was pushed to summon more advanced presences... and inadvertently summoned the Dead Apostle Ancestor known as the Night of Wallachia. Deciding to toy with the girl, the Night of Wallachia claimed to be an advanced demon know as Mephistopheles, which was capable of granting wishes. Faust's sole wish, however, was that she could live with Gretchen without her father preventing her from leaving. The Night of Wallachia agreed, intending to feed upon her father to prevent his interference. One evening, when Faust's father was planning to do something truly terrible to Gretchen when she arrived, the Night of Wallachia consumed his blood, killing him. Gretchen and Faust escaped the house. The exact circumstances of their deaths are unknown, but it is likely that the Night of Wallachia had a hand in them.

Class: Berserker Master: TBA True Name: "Jack the Ripper", Legendary Serial KillerGender: Female Height/ Weight: 150cm, 45kg Alignment: Chaotic Mad Appearance: "I'm a nasty surprise, I'm a devil in disguise..." Whilst under Mad Ehancement, she assumes a more feral expression and stance, her eyes glow red, and she is permanently shrouded in mist. Personality: A young girl filled with contradictions, possessing properties of both day and night. Her personality is pure, but cruel at the same time. Though her manner of speech is innocent, she is quick of thought. She is rational, but is emotionally weak. She responds cruelly to others' ill will, but is soft against good will. And although she wears revealing clothing, she is shy, and doesn't go out during the day. She yearns strongly for a mother, and if her Master is female, she will insist on calling them "Mother". Stats: (Stat boosts whilst under Mad Enhancement indicated in brackets) - Strength: C (B)
- Endurance: C (B)
- Agility: A (A+)
- Mana: C
- Luck: E
- Noble Phantasm (Rank): C
Skills: - Mad Enhancement (C)
- Murderer of the Misty Night (A)
- Mental Pollution (C)
- Information Erasure (B)
- Surgical Procedure (X): Jack is incapable of using this skill due to being summoned as Berserker.
Noble Phantasms:
- Maria the Ripper - The Holy Mother of Dismemberment (D) (Anti-Unit): A set of four strangely shaped knives. They are normally classified as Rank D Noble Phantasms, but they can be empowered under certain conditions by "the hatred of children who were denied everything, even the chance to sell their own flesh; the children who were abandoned back then by the 80,000 prostitutes in the London ghettos in order to maintain their own livelihood." If activated normally, they can be used to deal physical damage to the target while the conditions are not completely fulfilled. Upon fulfilling them, the damage rendered receives a large boost in Rank and the attack can guarantee instant death. If a) "it is night-time," b) "the target is a female," c) "it is misty," the knives manifest within the target's body, instantly vivisecting their flesh. The attack is communicated as a curse rather than a physical technique executed by utilizing the set of knives, so it may be used at range. Much like Zabaniya: Delusional Heartbeat, physical defense is impossible, but resistance to curses may permit evasion. Jack cannot use the eviscirating curse of Maria the Ripper whilst under the effects of Mad Enhancement, and instead only uses it as a regular set of D Rank knives.
- The Mist - Darkened Misty Metropolis (A) (Anti-Army): a Bounded Field Noble Phantasm generated from an antique lantern that reenacts the phenomenon of the "Mist of Death". Upon opening the shutter and gently touching the candle inside, the lit flame instantly begins to generate smoke-like mist from the bottom of the lantern. The mist, wrought of prana, forms a Bounded Field around the area that has a negative effect on all those who enter within the perimiter. Normal humans will quickly faint from pain upon coming in contact with the dense cloud of enveloping smoke, as simply breathing it in burns the throat and direct contact with eyes causes them to fester. They start to sufficate due to being unable to breath, and they cannot see anything as they writhe in pain. She can easily use this time to selectively kill them, or she can simply wait for them to be inflicted with death within a few turns. Magi will not immediately perish, but they will recieve continuous damage. Heroic Spirits will not recieve damage, but they will have a Rank Down in Agility. The Mist is constantly active whilst Jack is under the effects of Mad Enhancement.

- Name: Steve Wallace
- Age: Mid-thirties
- Gender: Male
- Description: Voiced by Steve Blum
- Personality: Steve isn't the most enthusiastic of participants, not giving a damn care about the Grail or its power to grant a wish. All he seemed to care about is "how much entertaining can this war become?" and thus, doesn't give it his all when it comes to fighting. He's also anti-social, which could be blamed on his recent falling out (see bio), creating a mental "wall" to block out others, including people who could be his closest allies like his servant. Ever wonder why he has those headphones?
- Abilities: Steve, due to being just a commoner in the war, lacks the magical prowess that most other Masters have, but what he lacks in, he makes up for in hand to hand combat, learning what he could from his karate classes all the way back from when he was young. When simple hand to hand combat fails, he resorts to a can of mace and his lighter to create a psuedo-flamethrower. When he learns of the other mages' ability, he'll say, as some sort of mocking joke: "Flame on" whenever he pulls off this, as if it's some sort of spell.
- Bio: Steve Wallace was just a typical office worker, living his day to day life and getting that paycheck so he can put food on the table. However, he didn't know that he was born with a Magic Circuit that was coursing through his veins. He had a lovely wife who only was attracted to him because of said Magic Circuit, but he became a bore to her, so she decided to seek out other people, and eventually, cheat behind Steve's back. When the truth was exposed, Steve barely gave a care, as the hard stresses of work caused him to not give a care about anything else. Enraged, his wife left him, saying that unless he stopped being a stick up the ass, he can forget about being married to her. That became the straw that broke the camel's back, and soon Steve believed that there's nothing entertaining left in the world. Or so he thought. One day, while cleaning through his apartment, he noticed something his wife left behind. A book on the Holy Grail War, complete with instructions of how to summon a servant. He liked the idea, and thinks this might kill some time, though he often wondered what his wife was thinking with the book.
- Assets: He has a high-paying job doing work at the office and lives in an apartment that looked like it was meant for two people, though there's an apparent lack of someone in Steve's life.

Name: Galahad Athanasius Weishaupt Age: 22 Gender: Male Description: Looks kinda familiar...Personality: Serious minded, with no patience for nonsense or foolishness. He takes great pride in his family's pedigree as blue blood mages, and is very devoted to the quest of reaching the Root. Galahad truly believes that, like his namesake, he is destined to obtain the Grail, and that no-one else of worthy of it. Abilities: A magus with an affinity for the wind element, and possessing the Weishaupt family crest. He has practiced fencing since he was young, and so is adept in swordplay (just about every sword-wielding Servant outclasses him by miles, though). Galahad possesses a Mystic Code named Gladio Ventus, which when activated takes the form of a cylinder of strong, focused winds that surround him. The winds are strong enough to deflect most projectiles fired at him (even bullets) and will cause serious lacerations to any non-Servants who get too close to them. As a drawback, it is fixed in position whilst active, and he must deactivate it if he wishes to move. Bio: The latest master of the old magus lineage of Weishaupt. His family's esteem in the Association has been dropping as of late due to lack of results, and as such he has taken a gamble in his search for the Root: after hearing rumours of the Grail Wars that took place in Fuyuki, he has travelled to Redrock to take part in this new war. Assets: His family's vast fortune and ancestral rapier (just pretend it looks less, um, plasticky and more like a real sword).

Class: Rider
True Name: Horst Bernard, The Headless Horseman
Gender: Male
Height/Weight: 6 feet, four inches tall, 240 lbs (5 feet 2 inches, 230 lbs after losing his head and neck)
Alignment: Lawful Neutral.
Appearance: A man in a black cloak with a burning pumpkin for a head. He sits on the back of his ghostly horse whenever possible.
Personality: Horst is a simple man who does what he thinks is necessary in the long run for his own survival. Unlike most Heroic Spirits, he has no claim to nobility, only notoriety, and is well aware of the fact his image is widely used in tales of horror and fully intends to use this to his advantage in the Grail War.
Stats: (Bonuses activate at night when in physical contact with the Blazing Pumpkin.) Strength: D (B) Endurance: C (A) Agility: B+ Magical Energy: D (B) Luck: E Noble Phantasm (Rank): B
Skills: Class Skills: * Battle Continuation (A) * Riding (A)
Personal Skills: * Ghostly Visage (A): Horst is a ghost, giving the air an unnatural chill as he passes by, leaving the air about him smelling like a tomb. This effect, when activated, causes his enemies to fear him, making his horse seem larger and more demonic and the flames from his pumpkin take on a sickly green glow.
Noble Phantasms: * Blazing Pumpkin (B): His true head, a pumpkin wreathed in flames. As long as it is intact, his body (and that of his horse) will quickly regenerate any damage done to it. It is, aside from its flames, a mundane (if fireproof) pumpkin. Contained within is a seed which, when exposed to Prana while the previous pumpkin is destroyed, can grow a new head, although it must be planted in soil from a church and the pumpkin kindled to return the Horseman's sight and power. It allows him to speak and get sensory input as if the pumpkin were an actual head.
* Brimstone (B): The ghostly mount of the Headless Horseman, this horse leaves the air stale in its wake. It is capable of moving at incredible speeds. However, being a ghost just like its rider, it can't cross running water.
History: In life, Horst was one of many Hessian mercenaries in the employ of the British Crown hired to suppress the American Revolution. Although he'd had terrible luck all his life, he thought that by doing mercenary work for the British crown he could finally save enough money to buy some land to settle down with a family. However, this was not to be, for at the long-forgotten Battle of Chatterton Hill, his head and neck were blown off by an American cannonball. He still fought on from the back of the horse, having been experimented on by a British magus masquerading as an army surgeon after being shot earlier, before finally being unable to fight after his mount was shot. He was carried to a church to be buried (even while still barely alive), but those who searched for it failed to locate his head and he was buried without it. As his body had been separated from his head, he could not rest and roamed as a ghost and dragged himself and his horse from grip of death, seeking either his head or the perfect replacement, one that would rest on his shoulders without rolling off. However, he still needed a head and as such stole a pumpkin from the garden of the church where he was buried, carving out eyes and setting it ablaze to light his path. Each moment he held it reminded him of the indignity of his burial, giving him strength from his anger. Soon enough, travelers began to fear traveling the roads near Sleepy Hollow, New York at night. For those who did would often find themselves facing down a headless man on a horse spitting fire and brimstone, a smoldering pumpkin balanced on his shoulders and a bloody sword in hand decapitating everyone he came across.
In 1793, he found his perfect replacement. A man who had just fled from a thrown pumpkin tossed by a man across the river. Horst raised his sword and decapitated the man in one swing, placing the head on his shoulders, tossing the body in the river, taking one last ride around the area before settling into his own grave. Now that he had a reasonable facsimile for his own head, he could finally rest peacefully. From that day forth, he remained dead.
Now, he fights in the Grail War with a simple wish... "I want to be returned to life... with a head!"

Name: Rachel St. Claire Age: 23 Gender: Female Appearance: "Ah... cold, today."Personality: With the goal of her family in mind—to try and pack as much prana into a human frame and open the path to Akasha—despite her own desire to be an author. She likes fiction a lot more than magecraft and, though she devotes time to that which she's been raised to do from birth, Rachel tends to look at a lot of things like stories. Abilities: - Elemental Affinity: Blood; a sub-element of Water possessed by her entire family for generations. Also has a secondary affinity for Wind, though she's not so keen to apply that.
- Family Magics—Prana-Packed Blood. The entire basis of Rachel's family's magic is that blood is almost omnipresent in the human body. So why not turn the blood vessels themselves into magic circuits? Over the generations, this is EXACTLY what they have done, to the point that Rachel's normal magical circuits are effectively dead next to those that infuse her blood.
Result? Her blood is literally packed with magic, above and beyond that which could be achieved by most normal magus. In addition to producing substantial amounts, the amount stored in her body is huge. Naturally, this comes with a downside: if she wants to get at these particular circuits—rather than her barely working (Shirou's are better—yes, Shirou's) but normal ones—then Rachel has to lose some of that blood. This extends to fuelling a Servant, too, unless she wants to go the OTHER route.
- Blood Control: So long as it still contains prana, she can control and direct a small quantity of her own blood, as well as multiply it. The result (aided by her Wind affinity) is that she can turn her blood into weapons and shields. Or use it for closing others' wounds by forcing it to form a bandage. She can control any blood that has been mingled with hers, too, without needing to waste prana to multiply it.
In a pinch, she could force it through her skin. But that? That's not a good idea, given the size of the wound
- Mystic Code: Stasis Bandages. Fuelled by the blood constantly flowing past it, these bandages (one on each arm) keep a wound open but the blood INSIDE her body. Only the magecraft involved prevents infection or an immune response. The wounds beneath still hurt, though.
Bio: Born to a long line of mages, Rachel experienced a pretty normal childhood. That her mother died not too long after passing on her thaumaturgical crest—her father being a magus but not one with anything of note to his name—has... well, it's made her want to get away from her family for a while. She's justified the trip as for 'research', though she actually means for stories rather than magecraft. Who knows what she'll find? Assets: Money. Her family's wealth is actually kept in normal banks, amazingly. Guess her parents couldn't think of anything to do one day.
Class: Saber Master: -If applicable- True Name: Lancelot du Lac Gender: Male Height/Weight: 191cm, 81kg Alignment: Lawful Good Appearance: Projected armour is awesome. Gets this for clothing.Personality: Despite his failings, still the Knight In Shining Armour, bound to the code of chivalry and almost as close as you can get to a living embodiment of it. Protect the weak. Guard your honour and the honour of fellow warriors and never refuse a challenge or surrender—persevere until the very end. Protect a ladies honour. Do not lie. Loyally obey anything your superiors command. It is this last one, and protecting a female's honour, that Lancelot feels he has failed—though Arturia doesn't see it that way. He wants to atone; wants her to be the one to kill him... and until this war is over and the chance of that is lost, he will not give in. The Quest for the Holy Grail shows that Lancelot does not know how to give up Stats: - Strength: A
- Endurance: B
- Agility: A
- Magical Energy: C
- Luck: C
- Noble Phantasm (Rank): A
Class Skills: - Magic Resistance: D. Cancel Single-Action spells. Magic Resistance of the same degree of an amulet that rejects magical energy. As it is resistance that comes from a magical ring and not oneself, it is lower than expected of the Saber class.
- Riding: A. A: All creatures but those of Phantasmal Beast and Divine Beast-rank can be used as mounts. This rank is high enough to have aptitude for the Rider Class.
Personal Skills: - Eternal Arms Mastership:A+. Mastership of combat arts has reached the point of being said to be unrivaled in one's era. By complete merging of mind, body and technique, it is possible to make use of full fighting skills even when under the influence of any sort of mental hindrance.
- Protection of the Fairies: A. A blessing from Elementals; the capacity to increase one's Luck in dangerous situations. Activation is limited to battlefields, where it is possible to perform feats of arms.
Noble Phantasms: - Arondight, Unfading Light of the Lake. A++, Anti-Unit. A holy sword and the counterpart to Excalibur, it was forged by fairy hands rather than human. 'It is a limitless sword capable of receiving any attack without taking damage that shines much like the water of the Lake. It was given only to someone who could be exalted as the "perfect knight", the strongest, bravest and truest knight of an era, which signifies the unrivaled Lancelot out of all those who sat at the Round Table of Camelot.' Summoned as Saber, it retains its original shine but still forgoes its status as a holy weapon. Picture.
Raises all parameters by one when activated and vastly increases prana drain. The mere act of drawing it seals For Someone's Glory and Knight of Honour. Also possesses an anti-dragon attribute.
- For Someone's Glory: Not For One's Own Glory. B, Anti-Unit. A fog materialised from Lancelot's tendency for winning tournaments and endeavours under another's name or a false name, it shrouds his appearance and abilities. Masters cannot observe his capabilities, either (hence the spoiler tags). It can be used to take the form of another Servant of military note—but due to Lancelot's personal convictions, only the use of a Command Seal can persuade him to do so for dishonourable reasons.
- Knight of Honor—A Knight Does Not Die with Empty Hands. A++, Anti-Unit. Anything that Lancelot takes into his hands and can conceive as a weapon is considered to be his Noble Phantasm and he can wield it as if he was a master that had trained his whole life with it. Mundane weaponry or items are considered to be Noble Phantasms of D-Rank and their capabilities (such as speed or rate of fire) are increased to be a threat to Servants. This also allows Lancelot to wield another's Noble Phantasm as his own. Faint red lines and a dull shine envelop all items that are combined with this Noble Phantasm. Has a high activation cost.

Accepted. Name: Charlotte Klarwind Age: 18 Gender: Female Description: "Why, yes. This bike is mine."Personality: Charlotte is rebellious and uncompromising. She refuses to listen to orders or obey anything but the most basic rules and regulations(she'll keep magecraft a secret, that's all). She has a sarcastic streak a mile wide and tends to dismiss others as idiotic. However, she has a softer, calmer side, more friendly side that she displays extremely rarely, and only to those she is very close to. She has a strong dislike for other magi, and the Mages Association in particular. In spite of this, she is extremely proud of her status as an "Average One". Abilities: Charlotte is an Average One, a magus with an affinity for all five "normal" elements. While she is not highly trained in her abilities, she is capable of some basic spells and reinforcement. Bio: Born in London, to the Klarwind Magus family, it was soon discovered that Charlotte was an Average One. She spent only a few years training, before abruptly deciding that she disliked her instructor and the entire structure of the Mages Association. Managing to flee, she soon became a concern in regards to the Secrecy of Thaumaturgy and received a sealing designation. Fleeing to America, Charlotte became determined to escape the Mages Association entirely(and picked up a motorcycle on the way). She has entered the Grail War with one wish in mind: Erase her existence from the minds of all Magi. Assets: One reinforced motorcycle, a spare(also reinforced) hidden in a safe location, and a fair amount of cash taken from dubious sources. Class: Archer Master: N/A True Name: Tomoe Gozen Gender: Female Height/Weight: 159 cm/47 kg Alignment: Lawful Good Appearance: "There isn't any time to be foolish.Personality: Tomoe Gozen is, of course, intensely loyal to her Master without fault. She has a strong sense of honor, but is not above pragmatism in combat. While she remains refined at most times, she has an impatient streak and is somewhat quick to anger. She is also a very straightforward person and will not hesitate to speak up. If she has something to say, she will say it. She prides herself in skill in combat, with her bow, her swords, and any other weapons she has in her possession. Stats: - Strength: C
- Endurance: C
- Agility: B
- Magical Energy: D
- Luck: B
- Noble Phantasm: C
Class Abilities: - Independent Action: B
- Magic Resistance: C
Skills: - Pioneer of the Stars: C
- Military Tactics: B
Noble Phantasms: - Senshi no Jisonshin~Onna Bugeisha: C
As Archer, the crystallization of Tomoe Gozen's skill with weaponry takes the form of a finely-crafted crimson bow half as tall as the warrior herself. Her katana are not a Noble Phantasm, though they are a grade of weapon capable of harming a Servant. If she were summoned as Saber, her Noble Phantasm would take the form of a katana while she would have a bow that is not a Noble Phantasm. The bow will always hit Archer's target as long as she calls out what she is aiming for.

Alright, I'd prefer if we had a Lancer and an Assassin before starting. However, now would be a good time to decide on Master-Servant pairings since I'm considering starting this up somewhat soon.

So I'm looking for someone not especially serious to be Galahad's Servant, to play off his overly-serious nature, and by the looks of it the best bet at the moment would be one of the Casters. So, um... Yeah.
And I think Jack was getting paired up with Rachel again, but I can't remember if we decided on that or not.

Faust for Galahad's Servant is fine by me! Also, for Tamamo: Name: Coney Satin Age: 17 Gender: Female Appearance: "It's very simple."Personality: Coney is sarcastic to a fault. She rarely restrains her tongue, and is liable to make biting comments almost constantly over everything. Coney is prone to judging others rather harshly. However, she doesn't intend to be cruel... even if she is by accident. She has a severe fear of heights which she tries to keep hidden, and a fear of darkness to a lesser extent. Abilities: Coney's elemental affinity is air. As a magus-in-training, she has yet to learn some more advanced techniques. However, what she has learned includes the manipulation of air currents to accelerate throne objects, primarily knives. - Mystic Code-World's Edge: A Knife with the ability to manipulate time. It has a set pattern for these manipulations, one slow down, one speed up, one slow down, one speed up. This takes place over an outside time-span of ten seconds. The knife does not manipulate time for Coney, instead manipulating time for the target. It makes the target the center and source of these time manipulations, doing vast damage to their. However, the entire blade must be inside their body in order for it to work. It cannot harm Servants, and is far too heavy to be thrown or accelerated with air currents.
Bio: Born in the Satin magus family, Coney's early life was filled with hard training and focus. However, when she entered her teens, her family decided to have her work as a maid for another magus family in order to pay back a favor. She resents this, to some extent, but likes the uniform. Assets: A lot of knives, a sizable sum of money, and a mansion home.

Name: Avaya Nu Vola. Yup, Magus family, alright. Age: 22 Gender: Female Appearance: "Worthless!" She's actually a pale blonde. They eye has no excuse. Personality: Avaya is a deceptive manipulator who turns her every interaction with people into a complicated attempt to steer them to her uses. Due to what people tend to desire, this means that most of the time she appears polite, friendly, and cheerful. Internally? She's bitter, wants little more than to be alone, and tends to mock everyone. She wants to help people, strangely enough. Help them to be free of suffering, that is. This is where things start to take a turn for the worse: she agrees with Buddhist doctrine fully in that life is suffering and to that end wants to exterminate life and will employ any means to get that far. It's quite clear that there's something wrong with her if you ever learn that much but, if anyone does, she'll just drop the façade and do her best to wipe the person out. "So, you know all is suffering? Let me end it for you!" Abilities: - An Average One. Having an affinity for all Elements, Avaya was extremely prized by the Mage's Guild... and she's VERY bitter about that. As a result, though, she has a good all-around understanding of Thaumaturgy, so if she starts chanting, you should back away.
- Origin: 'Suffering' and 'Imprisonment'. Could be considered as 'Imprisoned within Suffering' or, if you want one-word religious answers, 'Dukkha'. It is from this that Avaya's speciality with Bounded Fields comes from, as she approaches them with a mentality best described as 'those within should subscribe to my worldview'--ensuring that anyone inside is effectively artificially chained by her attitudes.
- Swordsmanship: At least one of her teachers decided to give the child something to do that wasn't Magecraft. This was before her accident but, despite that, she carried on with the one arm missing. She's not the best and has nothing on a Servant but it's enough for what she's got in mind.
- Bounded Field Specialist: Avaya is a master at setting up Bounded Fields and, as a consequence, anywhere she plans to fight is scouted out in advance and prepared. She tends to emphasise mental interference: making recalling anything more difficult, making movements clumsy, slowing reactions. She has a particular predilection for simulating the effects of ageing. Aside from the subtle effects that work the instant you cross the line and almost unnoticeable until you've noticed that normal capabilities are lacking, there's those that turn the environment against you and not just your own bodies. Her particular favourite is one that drains mana from the world to melt the ground by intruders: anyone in one place for long finds themselves mired in molten asphalt or concrete. She can create those with more positive effects but she's inclined to negativity.
- Vast Prana Reserves: Similar to how Shirou's nerves were converted into makeshift magical circuits by willpower, many of hers--mostly sensory ones, with much of her body being barely above numb, even those places that would normally be extremely sensitive--have been converted through spiritual surgery. The result is painful: not only is channelling inhuman energies painful even at the best of times, these aren't meant to do it.
Bio: Born to some rather dull magus with barely any talent or power, the Mage's Association took an immediate interest in young Avaya. Her family had been dwindling for generations and she was viewed as a standout... so a group of its less scrupulous members managed to persuade her parents to give their child up to be raised by them. When they refused, they got rather badly injured for their troubles. Things were rather nice for her at first, aside from being punished for asking when she could go see her parents, but after a few months she started getting less and less time to herself and more and more devoted to learning. Eventually, it got to the point where every waking hour not devoted to necessities was spent practising, aside from the one hour a week where she got to use the sword. Naturally, Avaya didn't like this, but what could she do? Things got worse when her 'guardians' decided to increase the number of circuits she had to match her lack of an alignment. The procedure was risky, though the one conducting it was experienced, and did lead to the loss of an eye and one arm, and it took her months to be able to operate somewhat normally with so much of her body feeling deadened. A few months after the procedure, one of them was found dead and her workload was decreased slightly. It wasn't much of a change but it gave her time to focus on adapting, which mostly meant doing the one physical activity she knew to make up for how little everything felt. Magecraft and books were ignored during this time, the former because it hurt and the latter because it was too close to magecraft. It was as she turned nineteen that she read something that intrigued her, though it was only a footnote in one text she had been tasked to read, mentioning how Buddhism considered life and suffering to be inextricably linked. Avaya thought on this for a while, comparing it to her own situation--and the lack of any good cheer in her environs. It eventually lead her to the conclusion that not only was it right but that she wanted to help people get away from it. Not being stable after her life to date, this pretty much pushed her off the deep end. Whatever time could be stealthily gained was devoted to preparations to flee the Mage's Association, a slow process as she wanted to create a decent Mystic Code first and have enough available to set up a workshop where she could plan from. When rumours that a new grail was being made filtered down to her, she put her plans into action and fled, gaining a Sealing Designation on the way and rushing to the right city. Having arrived months in advance, Avaya has put time into preparing everything she can for this war, including deactivated Bounded Fields prepared in several plazas, one park, and an active one enshrouding the warehouse she's adopted as her base of operations. She found herself a little toy whilst here and it's delightfully morbid. Assets: - Mystic Code: Superheated katana. When prana is run through it, the blade is capable of cutting through unaugmented steel without difficulty and cauterising wounds it makes, which quite likely remove a limb. Its use is hampered by requiring two hands to properly use.
- Workshop: She has a proper mage's workshop set up in an abandoned warehouse, along with enough bounded fields to make attacking her at home an incredibly risky choice.
- Extensive Preparations: She knows this place and has prepared well.

Class: Lancer Master: Avaya Nu Vola True Name: Achilles / Achilleia Gender: Female (well, they COULD pass as a woman that had to be found through trickery...) Height/Weight: 175cm, 72kg Alignment: Chaotic Neutral Appearance: No wonder she passed for male.Personality: Regardless of her Master's destructive desires, Achilles is just here to fight and have fun. Back in the Trojan War, she was there for glory. Now? She knows she's one of the most famous heroes of all time and an inspiration for one of the greatest conquerors, so she's got no other goal than to have a good time. Since her Master's funds are limited, that means she can't just spend half her time drinking and picking up people to sleep with, so she's opting to make the most of the fighting. Stats: - Strength: B
- Endurance: B
- Agility: A+
- Magical Energy: C
- Luck: A. Aside from that little blip at the end with prophecy and a god teaming up with a coward, pretty much EVERYTHING went her way.
- Noble Phantasm: A.
Class Abilities: - Magic Resistance: A. As pretty much the most well-known archetype (with Enkidu actually being the first) for Lancers (excellent warriors, tend to die because fate really, really hates them) and from the Age of Gods, her Magic Resistance is more in line with the Saber class.
Personal Skills: - Charisma: A. Most beautiful at Troy, really popular with those of either sex.
- Divinity: A. Half-divine, half of Olympus was on her side or at least scared of her mother.
- Eternal Arms Mastership: A+. Greatest warrior in the Trojan War and likely all of Ancient Greece. Never defeated in a fight, she was eventually killed because of a divinely-guided arrow.
Noble Phantasms: - Bathed in the Styx--Invulnerable Hero. EX, Support. Nullifies any negative effect or any attack that contacts any accessible part of her body aside from her heel (left, specifically) and, due to her skill in combat, she's good at hiding which one you need to aim for. If you CAN wound her, the wound itself is also vulnerable. She's also not immune to poison or anything that teleports past the flesh.
- Telephus' Bane--Festering Wounds. A, Anti-Unit. A spear of strange design, any wounds inflicted by an attack immediately after activation refute any attempt to heal them and gradually worsen unless Achilles relents and uses the spear itself to heal the wound. Due to its effect taking a large amount of prana to activate and not having an insurance that it will hit, she rarely bothers with it. That, and it was named for its deed and not given an actual name.
Naturally, she also has (utterly pointless) armour and a fancy shield.

Name: Alexander Taylor Age: 22 Gender: Male Description: I'm the only one that can win.Personality: A loner with an air of superiority, Alex claims he needs no allies to get by, with the obvious exception of his Servant. For all his claims of being greater, however, he never seems to actively pick a fight - rather, he seems to try and avoid it, though whether it's out of cowardice or some other reason isn't too clear. He's also been known to offer a helping hand on rare occasions. Abilities: Reinforcement - Is able to strengthen objects, or his own body to make it much more difficult for any non-servant to wound him. Still feels the pain, though. Bio: Alex was never the friendliest person growing up. He always had a cocky and superior attitude to others, even though he could hardly be called a powerful magus. His father participated in the Grail War and died during its course, which seemed to have slightly worsened his overall attitude to others. Although Alex was never one to jump into conflict, especially life-risking ones, he's somewhat eagerly joined the current Grail War. Assets: The family fortune, of course. Though he opts live in a rather small apartment.
