The people looked at each other, confused as to what just happened, as the portal closed up. They applauded at the guitarist and the strange kid with the collar.
"You're in Austin, Texas, my good friend." Joe said, patting the back of Flint.
"The hell happened?" Nash said, looking at the sky.
"That's what I wish to know." A voice said. The Wizard walked to the group, staring at the people brought forth. "It is not everyday blood red portals start opening in the sky. Though it must be of importance if people started to appear in Gaia's Library." Wizard said.
"Erm... Gaia's Library?" Joe asked.
"The world that tells of other worlds like they were stories. I was pursuing a..." Wizard paused and tried to think of a proper title to give his former apprentice. "Criminal. He came here into this world, and I was asked to capture him. That is why I gave you the Magic Circuit." Wizard said. His eyes then turned to the citizens. "I shall ask this to the rest of you. Do you wish to help me peruse a criminal of a strength and power that only your stories told? Who here is courageous to join me on the hunt? If you wish to join, step forward." Wizard said. One by one, the citizens left, until only the group summoned, as well as Joe and Nash stood. Joe pushed Nash forwards.
"Ah. A volunteer. I shall give onto you a Magic Circuit to help you... Crush it in your hands, and you shall receive its magic." Wizard said, giving Nash a similar tablet. Nash looked at it with strange wonderment. He noticed a strange engraving. It was drawn like a leaf, though there was a spiral in the middle.
Kiva licked his bloodied fangs and smiled. "You are in what we Wizards call Gaia's Library. A world containing the info of every other world! In this world, it seems that all these other worlds were just... stories!" He told Shiro.
Malak would get as a simple prod Kiva's current state of emotion: Desire. For what, he could probably easily guess.
"As for who I am... My name is Kiva. I am a Wizard, spending most of my time researching on powerful beings and how I can best make myself like them. You wish to be viewed as an equal? Very well. Same goes to everyone here. I am in the middle what my peers put as a scavenger hunt."

Rin smiled slightly at Mary and Faust. Well, that situation had resolved itself fairly quickly. She raised an eyebrow at what the younger girl said though. ""Master"? That's an odd thing to call your sister." She paused, taking in the rest of the child's ramblings. There was only one conclusion she could come to. "Did you hurt your head when you fell? I think you might have a concussion..."
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh, someone that can see souls? That could be annoying...
Fortunately, the girl seemed a little bit less than sane, so discrediting her remark shouldn't be too difficult. Looking around, his eyes fell upon the bloodsucker with the guitar. Adjusting his expression slightly to show a seemingly genuine, warm smile, the boy replied. "I am Avantasia, it is nice to meet all of you." For now at least, he would try to keep his true nature hidden. After all, if he declared that he was a daemonic entity that was slowly devouring a young boy's soul while also torturing and killing people as sacrifices to bring his true form into this world and it turned out that not everyone present was a villain, it most likely wouldn't end well. His expression shifted to one of worry, "I um...I'm a bit worried about miss Burton, I think she may have hit her head."
Ah, our host is in search of power. A bit cliche, but then again, it's still somewhat entertaining.

"I'm fine, mistress..." Maylene replied, glancing around the area. There were several people and onlookers. Had one of them summoned herself and her mistress? If so, why?
Another problem became apparent almost immediately. Swiftly, Maylene rolled, switching her position with the vampire, using her body as best she could to hide the sun from her mistress. It may not be deadly, but she would rather Rosalie didn't suffer debilitating effects.
"...My apologies, mistress." Maylene said, noticing that her movements may seem a bit... odd. Again, her gaze swept the area, hoping that her parasol somehow found its way through the portal as well.
----------------------------
"...Wha..."? Shiro was confused by the explanation. Gaia's library? Stories? Wizards?! Well, okay, the last part he understood very well, but this Kiva person's explanation didn't fill Shiro in on many details.
And these odd people around him... he'd never seen any of them back home, before. Where were they from? One of the continents he'd not visited yet? Maybe even that floating one he'd heard of? Their reactions seemed a little varied, too. From calmness to... some weird person rambling insane things. Okay then.
"Equals?" Shiro glared at Kiva. "Scavenger hunt? Well, still no idea what you're talking about, but if you don't send me home, I'm going to have to teach you to fear white mages, okay?"

The boy with the collar bowed to the departing crowd in an overly fancy manner before turning to face the apparent wizard.
"A criminal, huh? Well, I guess I have a lot of experience hunting criminals, and it's not like I have anything better to do now that I'm here. Besides, it would be terrible if anyone got hurt because you didn't have enough firepower."
He surveyed the others around him. Some of them looked pretty ordinary, though he wondered why there seemed to be children around. The time for questions would come later, most likely, when they'd all gotten to know each other better.
"I'm Chad Killroy, and I'll join your hunt if that's alright."

"I have nothing better to be doing," Alice said non-committally. She didn't really care too much for chasing after some random person, but she had no idea where she was or how to get home, and she may as well do her best to get some new books or a clue on how to make her dolls self-aware, "Except maybe finding some clothes." Orion thought about this. So... this guy wanted them to prove themselves? Well... she was going to be a disappointment: she could barely use any magecraft at all or access her vampiric abilities, and it was broad daylight. Unlike most Dead Apostles, she didn't have to worry about sunlight: her modifications meant that she just used what prana she DID still have to prevent the whole 'burning to death' thing. At the moment that just left a minimal trickle... so looking at people's souls was the only thing she COULD do in the sunlight.
"Oh... well, I guess I'll come along, even if I'm rather weak at the moment," the white-haired female said, scratching her chin, "And as for getting more power... well, if you haven't already done that, you could make yourself more like the moon, or mercury, or the planet, or... celestial bodies are really strong in a fight, so trying to become like one is a good way forwards."

"Texas, huh?" replied Flint to Joe, relief evident in his voice. "That's a long way from home... but at least it's not too far."
The Wizard's entrance elicited a raised eyebrow. Whoever this guy was, he certainly wasn't your average man on the street, at least if his get-up and speech patterns were any indication. At first it didn't quite click that he had referred to Earth as 'Gaia's Library' so he simply muttered, "You can say that again..."
Joe, however, seemed quicker on the uptake and asked what the hell 'Gaia's Library' actually was. Unfortunately, the crowd that had gathered seemed rather unsympathetic to Wizard's plight. Not, admittedly, that he could blame them. The guy must have seemed like a complete nut. And, to be fair, Flint was having his doubts however.
Seeing Joe push Nash forward, Flint smirked. "Great friend you are." It was said in a slightly mocking tone. Still, he had been waiting for a moment like this all his life. He wasn't going to let himself grow old and regret not taking up this stranger's offer. He could almost instinctively tell that this was going to be something truly spectacular. Stepping forward, he shrugged and said, "Well, I guess I can't let one guy have all the fun. Count me in, too. Name's Flint Revard, and I hope we can have a great working relationship."
Malak decided to ignore the prattling of the others who had been brought here. Only the mysterious stranger in front of him was worthy of his attention. He did, however, almost turn around when Chie began speaking. For the briefest and most unbearable of moments, he had almost thought that he had run into that accursed assassination droid again.
Such thoughts did not last more than a milisecond, however, as he realised that the voice was most emphatically not the smooth and menacing tones of HK-47. Regardless, he had a slightly different way of speaking, and a quick probe of the surroundings revealed that there was not a droid among them. He felt a small measure of relief. Having to listen to endless repetitions of the insult "meatbag" was the last thing he wanted to deal with in this strange land with its' strange inhabitants.
The sensing of Kiva's desire did not surprise Malak, either. Many Sith of all stations wanted to become unparalleled in their prowess, himself included. This Gaia Library sounded almost like another Star Forge, if not one that could be used in such a straightforward manner. To make full use of it would require energy and devotion, two things which the Sith Lord was not sure he could spare. He needed a war winning weapon now, not six or twelve months down the line. "I am Darth Malak, Dark Lord of the Sith. Explain yourself. I can sense that you desire power, but if you would have me fight alongside you, then I demand that you help me gain power in turn and crush my enemies."
Shiro's threat, even though it wasn't directed toward him, elicited a snort, which was just as metallic as everything else about his voice. Part of him was amused by the boy's boldness, and if he knew more about him the Sith Lord might have been tempted to try to teach him of the Dark Side, for further entertainment if nothing else, but as it was he felt the idea was ill advisable without more information. "Silence, boy. He may have been responsible for our arrival here, but equally he may have nothing to do with it. Audacity without substance is foolishness."
The Sith Lord was speaking from experience; his overconfidence in fighting his former master had led to the loss of his jaw. The ghastly wound ached faintly as he remembered the duel. Revan had turned soft, yes, but he had still been a capable opponent.

It was about then that the sunlight caught up to Rosalie. Unlike her kind's fictional counterparts(or, unknown to her, counterparts from other universes), Rosalie did not perish in the sunlight. Instead, she rapidly felt all energy being drained from her body. In a matter of moments, she had become listless and rather sleepy, flopping against the ground and looking like an extremely realistic ragdoll.
"Mnn... parasol..."
Luckily, her parasol lay only a few feet away. It too had been sucked through the portal.
Chie did not frown. However, internally, she was disappointed. That had not answered her question, even slightly. As such, she decided she would question the others. Perhaps one of them new where they currently were? She had no interest in what the vampire had offered thus far, she merely sought to return to her mission. Chie looked around, then spoke once more.
"Statement One: Chie asks for your attention. Question Two: Where is Chie?"

Damn, the sunlight had still affected her mistress, despite Maylene's attempts. This wouldn't do... why did that stupid portal have to suck them into this place? Was someone trying to harm her mistress? One of these peo- hey, wasn't that her mistress' parasol?
Recognising it quickly, Maylene moved quickly, picking up the item and returning to Rosalie's side, shielding her from the sunlight with it. Hopefully, Rosalie's strength would return soon, they were still surrounded by complete, and suspicous strangers. And keeping her mistress out of the sun's way whilst defending her from possible threats would be rather difficult, even for someone like herself.
------------------------
Frowning at the guy with the metal collar... neck... thing, Shiro turned his glare towards Malak. Who was that guy to silence him? Well... Shiro figured he'd let it slide. After all, he hadn't exactly made it public knowledge that he wasn't someone to mess with. That day would come soon enough, once Shiro had mastered a little more magic. Then he'd be addressed with respect.
for now, Shiro simply kept quiet, and averted his gaze from the self-proclaimed dark lord. People sure seemed to be joining this guy quite readily... hm...
One girl with the weird speech mannerisms had demanded attention, so he looked at her next. With an arrogant tone, he answered, "Weren't you listening? This is... Gaia's Library? Think that was it... don't see many books, though."

"Does she have ill health conditions?" Nao commented on the pale girl just collapsing in the middle of introductions, taken aback even more by the action. Not that her face showed it, but more her tone of voice. "Do you need any help carrying her?" Despite meeting the others for the first time, the blue haired girl still couldn't help but feel concern for them, those people in similar circumstances.

"Hurt my head? The ground can't hurt my head! Not a lot of things can hurt me very easily, actually, because of stuff! Oh, and Gretchen says hi!" Faust held Gretchen up, and moved her right arm to wave a little, before lowering her again. This girl with the eyepatch seemed nice and stuff, and Gretchen though she seemed nice too, and she also had an eyepatch so that meant she was cool! "Are you a pirate? You have an eyepatch, so I thought you might be a pirate! Do you have a pirate ship and a parrot and a crew and lots of booty? Do you fight sea monsters? I want to meet a sea monster! I would name it Betlinde! Unless it was evil. Then I would probably have to fight it or something!"
Faust swayed back and forth slightly as she talked, with an incredibly cheerful smile. So they were in some new, strange place or whatever, that didn't matter! She still had Gretchen with her, Mary was here, and the milk was here, so things were okay! Faust was quickly distracted, however, by the blonde-haired girl nearby. "You're only wearing a robe... isn't that embarrassing? I think it would be embarrassing. Gretchen says she'd faint if she was caught like that! Is that your only clothing?"
As the parasol was placed over Rosalie, she quickly began to recover. Her eyes snapped fully open, and she regained her footing under the shade of the parasol. The sunlight... it had made her nearly pass out. Really, it was so... undignified, the way the light had affected her. She frowned, for a moment, but her smile returned when she looked up at Maylene. "Thank you, Maylene. The sunlight was quite discomforting, ah-hah."
Now, she could really get her bearings. The situation was a strange one, and she had overheard something about a library before being affected by the sunlight. Hopefully, people wouldn't conclude she was a vampire from her reaction to the sun... Then her attention fell on the girl with the rabbit ears who had began asking about her health. "Ah... um... Well, I'm alright, now..."
Chie's full attention now rested on the boy who had spoken.
"Response One: The appellation of 'Gaia's Library' is not found in Chie's memory. Statement Two: As such, this does not answer Chie's question," she replied. She needed to return to Japan from... wherever she was. Her mission was there. She needed to complete her mission. Staying here, among these people, did not achieve anything towards those ends. "Question Three: Are there any present who are able to inform Chie of her location?"

"No. I do not have any hand in your teleportation here. It was by someone else's hand. Alas, I do not know where any of your homes are, White Mage, but, if we are able to find the Forbidden One, then we can... Ehehe, I forgot... You guys don't know who I am talking about... Very well, where does one begin... Ah... This riddle... Yeeeesss..." Kiva then got out a tiny sheet of paper and read aloud.
"The Forbidden One is a powerful sorcerer, said to be able to master a powerful magic. If he teaches me this magic, then I would be able to bend the moon and stars to my will, rather than make myself out to be one. He might even teach you, Malak... He, alas, was split into five pieces, but if we find the pieces and put him back together, then we can revive him, and he can teach us everything we need to know... This riddle is to teach us where he is... One arm hangs off the bridge of courage, fingers pointed to the other arm's prisoner... That is all I have so far... I am to use this world's databanks to find where the two arms are... This is where you guys come in... Do you wish for power? Do you wish for a way home? Do you wish for adventure? Then come with me... And together, we can crush those in our path!" Kiva said.
"Now, before we set off, is there any questions you are willing to ask?" Wizard asked the group.

Alice briefly wondered who this 'Gretchen' person was--the child's imaginary friend?--before doing the polite thing and answering. Or, more accurately, working out an answer before answering. She was a methodical person, after all, when nothing excessively disruptive like Marisa was making taking things calmly impossible. Though rather less fun... not that she would ever admit that. "I don't find this embarrassing; what would be the point in that? Running around and panicking like an idiot would make acquiring proper clothing impossible."
Speaking of which... "Do you have the ability to provide some sort of attire?"
"I guess if coming with you is the only way home... I really need to get back to Kotone-chan, working out how to give a normal person magic is tricky unless I know everything about their body. And... well, aren't people rather hard to crush?" Orion wondered, answering the last things first and working her way backwards through Kiva's pre-written speech, "Though... we need to be careful if there's a sorcerer around; the only one that I know the name of got into a fight with the King of Vampires and prevented the moon from falling. That was when I was a child, though, so I don't know that much about it."

Flint thought for a moment, and then cleared his throat. "Yeah, sure, I've got a question. How do you expect normal people to help you out in this little man hunt? I mean, I'm still up for it and all, but I think that's a bit of an issue."
He politely ignored Alice's current state of dress. If nothing else, he liked to imagine he was a gentleman.
The Sith Lord quirked an eyebrow at the piece of paper, but he decided to let it pass with no comment. The description of this 'Forbidden One' was a tantalising prospect; even with the Star Forge (and that was starting to look as though it would be referred to in the past tense) and all his powers, he was merely formidable. When Revan was your opponent, formidable was not good enough, a fact that Malak grudgingly accepted as a fact of life. If the Forbidden One could reveal something that eluded him, something that Revan could not account for, then he would finally be invincible.
Of course, first they needed to reassemble the sorceror. If he could have grimaced, he would have. But then again... he had already done this one time before, when he travelled with Revan to find the Star Maps and uncover the Star Forge. That had been well worth the effort, even if he had been forced to turn his back on every Jedi teaching he had learned. This promised to be far greater, and Malak was good at seizing opportunities, contrary to the belief of his critics. His betrayal of Revan was proof of that.
"I agree to join you," began Malak. Even if this all turned out to be a falsehood later, well, that was part and parcel of how the Sith operated. He had experience in dealing with such matters (usually violently and with a fatal end). "Just remember that I am not your subordinate."
He felt it was worth repeating; as a Dark Lord of the Sith, it was the role of others to serve him, not the other way round.

"Unfortunately, I am unable to create clothing, unless you want those clothes on fire... We're going to have to nab some new clothes. Either here or in another world..." Wizard said.
"Wait... World?" Nash asked Wizard.
"Yes... World. As I told you before, there are many other worlds. They are like grains of sand in a massive desert..." Wizard said.
"Alright, can we stop chit-chatting and find this Kiva?" Joe asked. Wizard sighed.
"Very well. Where would your databanks be? The place where you contain the info of the other worlds?" Wizard asked.
"Well... I guess the library... I mean, books are the gateway to another world and all. Metaphorically I might add." Nash said. Wizard nodded.
"Very well... lead the way." Wizard said. Nash went off to find the library, with Wizard and Joe following.
"Yes... The sorcerer I refer to is pretty powerful, but I will assume he will be too thankful to regard us as mere ants that he can squash." Kiva said to Orion.
"We shall go... I will find out which world contains the "bridge of courage" and which world contains the "prisoner"... Feel free to help me if you wish for power and a trip home, I won't regard you as my minions... rather... people I happen to be on a field trip with." Kiva said.
He then went off, looking into a crystal ball. "Show me this world's databanks!" Kiva said as the ball glowed green. It soon showed him a public library that was just nearby the construction site. He went off in search of the library.

"Databanks? Since when did banks store data?" Orion wondered, scratching her head and checking that her sight was back to normal before ambling off after the far too warmly dressed man, all the while looking like she was about to start skipping. The vampire girl had a rather curious gait, that much was for sure, "Or are you looking for a computer hardware store? But you need money to buy anything from them, and I don't think they'll serve you if you don't show your face. You look really suspicious, you know..." Alice perked up at the sound of a library. Though she wasn't quite as... extreme about acquiring books as a certain other witch was, she had a marked interest in them, and often ended up effectively racing Marisa if any cropped up unowned. The other worlds thing was interesting but... not really surprising to her. She was from Makai, knew of a judge of the dead, had been talking to Marisa when she went to a former hell, and had ended up fighting that damn celestial.

"A library huh? Well, I'm not exactly an intellectual but I may as well tag along since I've already agreed to your criminal hunt. Maybe they'll have comics or a National Geographic with nice pictures of faraway places in them. It's been a while since I got to take in the world, and I may as well take a look at it before we leave, right?"
After some of the things Killroy had seen and done in the Wonderland, other worlds didn't seem that impossible anymore, especially not after being teleported from his little playground to the middle of Texas. So, he followed along.

"Yeah, let's get going. We're not gonna stop this guy any more quickly if we stand around chatting," commented Flint. Thankfully, it turned out that his contribution was unnecessary - following closely behind Wizard, Joe, and Nash. Hopefully they knew where they were going.
He felt giddy and over the moon. He was finally going to break out of his old, boring life! This is what he had been waiting for for so long. The thought came to him that perhaps it was a scam, but he pushed it out of his mind in his happiness.
Malak stalked after Kiva, not caring how conspicuous he was. This place, wherever it was, was of little consequence. All that mattered was finding these databanks, scouring them for the information they needed, and then leaving as soon as possible.
From what little glimpses he had caught of it, the library looked rather old fashioned - more of a historical archive than an up-to-the minute system like the Coreward databases. But then again, the tombs on Korriban were equally unassuming, yet they reeked of ancient power. It was the way of such things to be held in inoccuous locations.

Chie turned her head, slowly, after the cloaked man, and began to follow. He seemed to be the only solution in returning home... as such, as long as his orders did not go against her few personal feelings that mattered to any extent, she would follow every one of them without question.
"Statement Three: Chie will follow all orders, provided they do not unnecessarily compromise her, given to her by this group until she has returned to the location of her mission," she said, pausing for a moment as she did, before continuing onward in silence.

"I apologise for not having the parasol immediately on hand." Maylene said, placing her palm gently on Rosalie's forehead, as if checking for a fever. Not that it was exactly her fault, but still, the maid couldn't help but feel that no matter the situation, she should have one in hand just in case they suddenly found themselves outside. And although it wasn't really needed, Maylene wanted to make absolutely sure Rosalie's brief exposure to the sun hadn't left any lingering, adverse effects.
She would have also brushed down her mistress' dress, but someone enquired about her current state, and Maylene stared at the rabbit-eared person with slightly narrowed eyes, the umbrella still carefully positioned to block the sun. She tried to gauge whether or not this person was a threat. All signs pointed to a resounding 'no', but considering the circumstances...
"My mistress is merely sensitive to the sunlight." Maylene answered. "It is related to health problems, but there is no need to worry."
---------------------------------------
Staring blankly at Chie for a moment, Shiro almost missed what Kiva was saying. Something about a sorcerer being split into pieces, and they had to go collect them all? Hm... well, if this was going to lead to a way home, and maybe a few useful spells, why not? Besides, it was his chance to show that, underneath his totally undeniable cute and harmless looking exterior and job class, Shiro was far more dangerous than any random encounter.
"If we must." Shiro shrugged, following after Kiva. As he did, he cast a sweeping glance at his companions, wondering just who many of them were. And if they were any fun to play around with.

"That's a relief." Nao responded, a small smile on her face. "I think you should pack sunscreen if your lady's that sensitive to sunlight. And maybe sunglasses. Though that might make her look a little tacky. She doesn't look like the type to wear such things even on days like this." Stopping herself before she could continue to ramble on, the blue haired girl continued eyeing the servant. Was there something wrong with her to have the woman stare at her in such a way? It couldn't be the rabbit ears, right? After all, it's just an accessory. Much like a hat or an earring.

"It's fine, Maylene, I'm alright," Rosalie replied, waving one hand as the maid seemed to check her temperature. Rosalie's temperature hadn't changed at all, she hadn't faced any adverse effects from the sunlight after getting the parasol over her head. And... luckily, the rabbit-ear-wearing girl didn't seem to suspect anything. "Ah-hah, well, the parasol seems to do well enough for me... in any case, shouldn't we be following the other people here? They seem to know what's going on somewhat more than I do..."
Rosalie made a brief, sweeping gesture towards the people who had started walking off. She really did want to just... find out what was going on. This was all confusing, she would much rather be at home right now.
Faust had started milling around a little. Should they follow the people? Gretchen didn't seem to know... they were doing things, like walking.

The search
Day 85 and still no sign of my missing sister nor a beautiful bride for myself. I wonder if I have set my sights too high. It has been a day since I assisted the Nerdals with their spat with the neighbouring Bullegh hordes. Now I wonder as to where my search shall take me to next.
Hal was wandering aimlessly looking for his next adventure. It took him a few hours until he found this small group of people. He snuck in amongst them to hear what was going on. he listened in quietly as words such as blood red portals and magic were mentioned. Eventually a direct call for action involving some powerful guy was mentioned.
Hal stood bravely and shouted loudly "I have no magic but allow me to throw my sword into your quest. I shall smite this guy where he stands and the worlds will sing the glories of Hal Simmons "the greatest swordsman of Arkenea" and hopefully find what I need to find in the process!"

"I don't intend to buy my way to victory. I intend to get the information by my own two hands. I don't care if they don't serve me or not. I will grab it by force if I have to. I doubt they have any magic that can stop me." Kiva said.
Wizard and the others were on their way in their quest to find Kiva, when Hal Simmons came and announced his allegiance.
"Erm... Very well, you may join us, then." Wizard said. Soon, Wizard saw something... A robed man heading to the library, though it looked more like a building than a library. Nevertheless, he recognized the robed figure. "There he is! Kiva!" Wizard said as he pointed to the robed figure and his following partners.

"If you just grab computer pieces, you won't know how they fit together or anything, or how to use them, and you might break stuff or grab empty cases or forget important pieces," Orion argued, thinking back to her limited IT experience and what she'd heard about, "You might forget a process or a sheep or something, and then it wouldn't work at all and you wouldn't have any data to bank! So... wouldn't you still need money to not break something?" "How can you tell?" the seven-coloured puppeteer asked. Generic cloaked person plus a group of random, eclectic followers. The creepiest was some guy with a metal jaw, but everyone else... they looked relatively normal.

Killroy scratched at the back of his head, pondering what to do.
"Well, it's the wizard's job to hunt this guy Kiva, right? So I'd think he knows him enough to recognize him at a glance." The collared man knew that if he was tasked with tracking a criminal that's what he would do
"Not to mention that guy's ultra-conspicuous stuffy robes in the middle of a deathly hot Texas day kind of scream "evil magical criminal" in a way that's so obvious it's making me doubt it's really him because of how absurd it is...unless that's what he wants us to think."

"I'm pretty sure that's who we're being asked to look for," said Flint, eyeing the mob warily. "Those guys around him look pretty strange, and I don't think robes are too common around here. Not sure what he expects me to do about it, though - that guy could probably kick my ass seven ways to sunday." The young man nodded toward Kiva by way of explanation.

"...Very well, mistress." Maylene answered Rosalie, still studying the other girl. After a moment, she relented with the fierce gaze. Rosalie wasn't suspicious of her, and there wasn't anything off about the rabbit-eared girl herself. Instead, she turned to gaze at the moving group.
"We should enquire about our situation to the one leading them." Maylene suggested. "He seems likely to know what has happened."
--------------------------
As Shiro went along with the group, his wandering gaze came across another group in the distance. Wondering what this second party was, he glanced in their direction. More allies for this Kiva guy? Just how many had been sucked through those weird portals...?

Rosalie quickly set off after the others, ensuring that she did not leave the safety of the parasol's shade. It was... very inconvenient, really. To have to follow someone, at their pace... it made balancing staying in the shade and keeping up with them irritatingly difficult. Really, Rosalie disliked following someone for just this reason. Keeping in pace with them ran a risk of exposing herself to the harmful rays of sunlight. However, she trusted Maylene not to allow her to be caught out in the sun.
When the others had stopped, she felt nothing but confusion. Kiva? Who, precisely, was Kiva? She had caught snippets of explanation, but the whole reason she had followed everyone was to learn exactly what was going on. As such, she had no idea what was going on.
"Kiva...?"
Chie came to a halt, and regarded the group across from her. Her eyes drifted over them, quickly analyzing the people in it. They seemed... unusual for this place, and were therefore worthy of attention. Well, some of them. Several seemed not particularly strange or unusual... the maid holding a parasol over a young girl. The girl was pale, red eyes... and standing very safely in the shade. Another vampire? Possibly. It was not easy for most people to recognize a vampire, but as someone who had killed several... Chie thought it was possible that the small girl in the shade of the umbrella was a vampire.
A blond girl in nothing but a robe, and... others who were not easy to identify.

"Computers? Sheep? I need none. I have found my databank!" Kiva said as he saw the library. Then...
"There he is! Kiva!" He recognized that voice. He turned around.
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah... My master... Come to take me away, haha?" Kiva asked.
"Kiva, this will only end in blood! Come with me and we can forget about this... forbidden one!" Wizard said.
"Oh... That... is most unlikely, master. I have with me other people who wish to gain the powers of the Forbidden One... They shall help me in my... scavenger hunt." Kiva said. Wizard then summoned a wall of fire in Kiva's way.
"I don't think so." Wizard said. Kiva looked at him, then smirked.
"Very well... If that is how you wish to fight... then... LET'S FIGHT!" Kiva said. He then lunged at Wizard, pounding him with his fists. "Go to the databanks! Find out what they know about the Prisoner and the Bridge of Courage!" Kiva said to the others.

Chie's first response was to turn towards the library, then break into a sprint. She did not care about gaining new powers, or whatever had been said. She simply wanted to return home, return to her mission. And following this order was a step towards that goal. Why was the library so important? She didn't know. Rarely did she know the importance of her targets or goals. However, they were her orders. Therefore, she followed them. It was as simple as that. Gaining entry to a simple library would be an easy task.
"He's... the enemy?" Rosalie took a step back. Up until now, she didn't even know there was an enemy. But... from the looks of things, there was. She couldn't fight like this. It wasn't possible to fight like this, not during the day. There was too much sunlight, she couldn't do... much of anything. At least not here. "I... What do we do?"
