Rebirth of Legends

An idea I tried before, and thought I should try again since, seeing how I trust all you guys, it probably won't die prematurely due to... Problems. Basically, all of the PCs will be the reincarnations of figures from history, legend and folklore, reborn into the modern age and all inhabiting the same town for some unknown reason. Why this has happened, and what will become of it, is up to the players to find out and decide.

The setting of this RP shall be the fictional English town of Sanctuary, a sleepy coastal town with a reputation for having nothing interesting ever happen there. Recently, several young people have been having strange dreams and visions, vague memories of past lives. These would normally be casually dismissed, but some of these people have found that they are able to summon an artifact representing these past lives, something embodying their former exploits.

Most of the reincarnated figures will only have a vague knowledge of who they're supposed to be, as the dreams aren't usually very clear. However, some of them may be able to make a better guess thanks to their artifact (for example, if someone's artifact is a sword baring the inscription "Whosoever pulleth out this sword of this stone is rightwise king born of England", they can probably figure out who they're the reincarnation of), although some of them may be more vague and misleading than others. To begin with, the characters will not have full access to the knowledge and memories of their past self except under exceptional circumstances (which should be discussed with the GMs beforehand; anyone who posts a sign-up where the character has full access to this knowledge will be instantly vetoed).

In addition, the following characters shall be instantly vetoed, so don't try signing up as them: Jesus, Mohammed (both for what should be blindingly obvious reasons), anyone who lived during the 20th century (with a few exceptions that should be discussed beforehand; before anyone gets the smart idea to try and sign up as him, Hitler is NOT one of these exceptions), Merlin and Morgan le Fay (for... Reasons. Plot reasons. >.>). I might be willing to allow people to sign up as a non-reincarnated character if their legend involves immortality, but this will be on a case by case basis and should be discussed with the GMs beforehand. You may have a maximum of three characters for this RP, but try not to take on anything more than you think you can handle.

• Name: Self-explanatory.
  
• Gender: Note: they do not have to be the same gender as their previous incarnation.
  
• Age: Bare in mind that the reincarnations are supposed to be young. Even at their oldest, they should still be of high school age.
  
• Reincarnation Of: Which legendary/historical figure were they in their previous life? Please include a link to a relevant source of information.
  
• Appearance: A brief description would be preferred, but we'll accept a fitting picture.
  
• Personality: Just a brief synopsis so we can get a good idea of your character; we're not looking for an in-depth psychological profile here, but try not to be too vague.
  
• History: A brief rundown will suffice; again, nothing too in-depth is required.
  
• Abilities: What can your character do? Note that this refers to their purely mundane abilities as a regular human, and not to any supernatural abilities they may gain whilst using their artifact.
  
• Artifact: A reminder of a previous life. What item does your character have, and what abilities do they gain from it? Bare in mind that they won't be too powerful to begin with, but will grow in strength as the connection between previous and current lives becomes stronger.

Also, pre-emptive claims on King Arthur, Lancelot and Jeanne d'Arc, hah! >.> <.< And yes, I am aware this is a shameless copy/paste, but I'm lazy. >.< Um... Also, probably should figure out what the town's layout is like, and appoint a co-GM since I tend to suck at that kind of thing, so... Hmmm.

• Appearance: More modern clothes, but pretty much...
  
• Personality: Amelia is very sweet towards her parents, and especially to her grandmother. She is also affectionate towards her friends, and really, anyone who's nice and pleasant to her in general. She is surprisingly adventurous, though she's also cautious when caution is necessary(at least when she's not wrapped up in things, if she is she throws caution to the wind). Amelia enjoys sweets a great deal, especially lollipops. When using The Wolf, Amelia becomes cold and emotionless.
  
• History: Amelia's life hasn't been particularly remarkable. She was born, has grown up and gone to school, and generally lived a normal life until finding out that she could access a strange, red hood...
  
• Abilities: Amelia can run at a decent pace, and kick surprisingly hard. Otherwise, she's more or less an average nine-year-old girl.
  
• Artifact: The red hood. While it doesn't have any abilities itself, it stores the spirit of "The Wolf". The Wolf is actually a spirit representing primal terror and fear. If Amelia opens the hood and allows it to open and work as a cape, she can allow The Wolf to take partial possession of her(only if she lets it). The cape grows to a massive size when this happens, and becomes filled with a dark void, and disembodied eyes and mouths. Amelia loses all her emotions when this occurs, and the target becomes gripped with terror. Sometimes, they see what inspires their deepest fears. Once Amelia resumes full control of herself, the cape shrinks to normal size and and becomes, visually, a regular cape. Amelia is unharmed, but she will feel sick for a short while after using this ability.
  

• Name: Katie Weatherford
  
• Gender: Female

• Appearance: "Even with a machine, sewing is hard!
  
• Personality: Around most people, Katie is very, very shy. She has very few friends, and is very attached to the few she has. New people often cause her to hide behind her friends, and she is very very quiet. Katie is exceptionally shy of adults, aside from her own parents and her older brother. She is very resentful of her own illness, and somewhat resentful of having to be held back in school. In spite of this, she is very intelligent. When Katie is feeling better, she likes to cook, and wishes she could sew. She becomes less introverted around family and friends.
  
• History: Early in her life, Katie contracted an illness that plagues her to this day. This illness nearly killed her when she was only six, but emergency treatment managed to saver her life. Even with the treatment keeping her from falling into fatal conditions, her illness has still held her back in school. Katie has grown very slowly, smaller and less mature then she should be for her age.
  
• Abilities: Not much. Katie is frail, very small for her age, and often has to rest. She's extremely good at cooking, though. When she feels up to it. And also super failing at sewing skills.
  
• Artifact: Katie's artifact is the pelt of the Nemean Lion. Incarnating itself as a plush lion, when in use the Nemean Lion pelt becomes a thick blanket that Katie covers herself in. This blanket can protect her from all harm. However, she is still very easily knocked down or tired out.
  

• Name: Marie Taylor
  
• Gender: Female
  
• Age: 15
  
• Reincarnation Of: Minamoto no Tametomo
  
• Appearance: "Archery and being incredibly stylish are my passions."
  
• Personality: Marie is a calm and collected person. She greatly enjoys archery, especially the focus offered by targeting something and then letting the arrow go. She is pleasant and polite in company, and desires to be inoffensive and polite in almost all situations. At least, unless people begin acting patently stupid. Or at least patently stupid in her opinion. Then she flies off the handle at them, having no tolerance for people acting stupid. Marie is very, very proud of her skills as an archer and of her fashion sense, though she will not brag unless seriously questioned about it and even then she will try and be very low key. She is immensely fond of her hat and will be very dismayed by any attempts to take it away.
  
• History: Marie's life was pretty average and not particularly odd, until she found a certain bow...
  
• Abilities: Marie is an accomplished archer, in so far as an archer can be accomplished at a young age. She is also quite fast when running.
  
• Artifact: Fune Shinku no Yumi. An elegantly-crafted bow, Fune Shinku no Yumi appears normal until an arrow is knocked and fired. From there it gains the limitless potential to penetrate one object regardless of thickness. Walls will be shot through just as easily as paper, and even thick metal plating will be penetrated just as easily. This does NOT work on magical protections.

Name: Gary Young

Gender: Male

Age: 16

Reincarnation Of: Guan Yu, renowned warrior of the kingdom of Shu, deified as a God of War in China and Liu Bei's sworn brother. Some more info here.

Appearance: When will he grow a beautiful beard that all of England would envy?

Personality: Annoyingly cold and arrogant, funnily enough. Believing that none can match his prowess in combat, as well as with long weapons, Gary sees himself as the greatest warrior in the world. The only people he has a shred of respect for is his friends... though he still knows his fighting skills are far superior. When he isn't out picking fights, he's either training at home or hanging out with either of his friends.

History: From a very young age, Gary has had an interest in martial arts, and trained at a facility ran by Zoe's family. There, he happened to meet Zoe herself,a s well as Luke, who quickly stopped coming to lessons, but the three became fast friends, despite all their differences. For years, they had been an inseparable group, but Zoe going to a different high school, as well as conflicting duties in their socials mean they don't see each other as much as they used to. However, thanks to a childhood promise he made with those two, still considers them best friends.

Abilities: Gary excels at most sports, and is incredibly skilled at hand-to-hand combat and wielding pole-arms and similar weapons. Domestic skills seem to be a weakness of his.

As for the abilities it grants... well, aside from the expected increase in strength, as well as endurance, Gary gains knowledge of the art of war, able to quickly analyse all kinds of conditions for battle.

Name: Zoe Fei-ling

Gender: Female

Age: 15

Reincarnation Of: Zhang Fei, the other sworn brother of Liu Bei and a powerful general. extra info here.

Appearance: Why is she the only one with any actual Chinese descent?

Personality: Funnily enough, she's a pretty quiet girl who rarely speaks her mind and seems to love all kinds of animals, ever. She also enjoys cooking, especially for her best friends. It's best not to get her drunk, however - the smallest drop of alcohol turns her into quite the boisterous and aggressive brawler.

History: A fairly privileged girl of mixed descent, Zoe's family runs a martial arts centre. While Zoe herself isn't a fighter, she likes to help out the students. It was this way she met Gary and Luke, whom she seemed drawn too. They grew up together, but a different high school and social life has considerably lessened the time she can spend with them. Zoe holds their childhood promise dearly, however.

Abilities: Is an excellent cook, and is quite good at restraining Gary if he gets too aggressive in his attempts to find people worth fighting.

Artefact: Her weapon, the Serpent Pike. Like Gary's artefact, it grants strength and endurance. However, it substitutes any additional knowledge for even more 'stat' gains. Her main flaw with this would be her lack of any actual combat training.

Name: Luke Bennet

Gender: Male

Age: 17

Reincarnation Of: Liu Bei, founder of the Shu Han Kingdom.

Appearance: No relation to Tetsuya Nomura. I think.

Personality: A laid-back and casual guy, Luke is rather passive and never lets anything bother him. Unless it's bullying. He hates that, and won't be afraid to let you know. He's also surprisingly charismatic sometimes.

History: Met Gary and Zoe when he went to Zoe's family facility once. Never went back, but he easily befriended Zoe and Gary. They grew up and, as mentioned before, they don't see too much of each other. It was his idea to meet up in his backyard and promise to be friends forever underneath his apple tree.

Abilities: A natural leader, though he rarely does any leading. Also pretty intelligent, but this is also rarely utilised.

Artefact: 'Gold Moon Dragon Sword', a one-handed sword that should have a counterpart, but... this weapon grants a small increase in strength, as it is now.

Name: Penelope "Penny" Drake
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Reincarnation Of: King Arthur Pendragon
Appearance: "...King? Hey, hold on, I'm just a normal girl!"

Personality: A wide-eyed idealist and all around idiot hero. Possesses a strong sense of justice and can't bare to see people being oppressed for any reason. She's rather single-minded about it, though, and won't even think twice about the consequences of what she does, blindly rushing head-on into danger if she thinks it's for a good cause. Something of a nerd; she's an especially large fan of comics and manga. She's generally cheerful, and loves chatting with anyone she comes across about completely inconsequential things such as the weather, how pretty the flowers look, what she had for lunch, etc., to the point that she can come off as somewhat annoying to others at times. However, a lot of this is simply a mask for how she truly is. Penny actually possesses something of an inferiority complex, and sometimes strives too hard to live up to the legacy of her previous incarnation of Arthur Pendragon.

History: A young woman who just so happens to be the reincarnation of Arthur Pendragon, the Once and Future King. However, she has only just recently became aware of this, and before then was simply just an average, everyday, ordinary schoolgirl. Her history from this time is inconsequential and actually rather boring. Although she's not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, even she recognised the inscription on her sword, and realised who she was in her past life. However... She's not exactly well versed in the legends, and doesn't really know about much aside from the swords and the round table. She's not entirely sure why Misty keeps following her, but she doesn't particularly mind, as she rather likes the other girl.

Abilities: Whilst she's not exactly smart, or atheletic, or popular... Um... At least she has spirit? Penny actually has surprisingly good coordination even if her other physical attributes are unimpressive before she draws Caliburn. She can be rather creative at times, being a somewhat talented artist, as well as having a knack for sewing which she uses to make stuffed toys (mostly for herself, but recently they've been going to Misty).

Artifact: Caliburn, the Sword in the Stone, a magic sword with the words "Whosoever pulleth out this sword of this stone is rightwise king born of England" engraved on the hilt. It is indestructable as long as her faith and honour remains intact, and can cut through almost anything. Whilst she holds it in her hands, Penny is imbued with the sword's power and gains a slight boost to her strength, speed, agility and resilience, taking her to the upper reaches of human ability in all these areas. She also becomes an almost unmatched swordswoman, although this only applies if she's actually using Caliburn (she seems to fumble a lot with any other sword).

Name: Misty Dulac
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Reincarnation Of: Sir Lancelot of the Lake
Appearance: "Can my sins ever be truly forgiven?"

Personality: Tries to act mature and serious as much as possible. However, emotionally she's still a child, and so breaking this image isn't too difficult, especially if certain details of her past life are brought up. Like Penny, she is single-minded about spreading the cause of justice and standing against evil; however she does this as a form of atonement for the mistakes of her past life, and will sometimes exert herself far too much because of this. Whilst trying to keep a cool, composed air around her, she completely drops this when she enters a fight, turning into a berserk, almost bloodthirsty maniac, and seems to enjoy herself far too much. However, once she comes back to her senses she will be rather ashamed of how she acted, and often drops into a deep melancholy as an aftermath of her berserker rage. Due to past experiences, Misty is scared of water, and cannot swim.

History: Originally from France, Misty's family moved to Sanctuary when she was six years old. She was a typical, cheerful young girl until her eighth birthday, when, after a freak accident caused her to almost drown in a nearby lake, she was beset by various incredibly vivid visions and dreams of a past life. As it turns out, she was once Sir Lancelot of the Lake, one of the legendary Knights of the Round Table serving under King Arthur, whose affair with Queen Guinevere tore apart the knights and paved the way for the fall of Camelot. The visions and recollections, having been thrust upon her all at once rather than gradually due to her near-death experience, had a notable impact on her, scarring her and leading her to believe that the sole purpose of her new life was to atone for the mistakes she made in her previous one. As such, as soon as she realised that Penny was the reborn King Arthur, she began going out of her way to stay near the other girl. Thankfully, Penny's trusting nature has led to the two developing a weird friendship of sorts, and although the two go to different high schools they're pretty much inseperable outside of school.

Abilities: Her skill with all weapons is almost supernaturally high, and she can turn just about anything she gets in her hands into a lethal weapon. Strangely enough, this isn't linked to her artifact, and is something she could do even before being awoken as Lancelot. Misty is pretty smart, can speak and read fluently in both English and French, and is exceptionally literate; she's Penny's main source of information about the Arthurian legends, even if she does omit some of the details she'd rather not let her in on.

Artifact: Arondight. Just like Penny and Caliburn, her physical capabilities increase whilst she is using her sword. It is unbreakable, and deals additional damage to dragons and related creatures. Whilst she is proficient in just about any weapon, it is with swords that she excels most, her skill with Arondight possibly even surpassing Penny's skill with Caliburn.

Name: Jean-Marie Bellerose
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Reincarnation Of: Jeanne d'Arc
Appearance: "On va chez toi ou chez moi~?"

Personality: A shameless flirt who will try his luck with almost anyone regardless of gender, often using his androgynous features to his advantage in this respect. He loves beautiful things more than anything else, and is especially fond of boyish girls and girlish boys. He tries to come off as the white knight type, doing his best to impress any potential conquests he comes across. Fittingly for his appearance, he's actually rather girly, as he loves cute things in general. Jean-Marie is a noted fan of cakes and sweets; they are his most obvious weakness, even more so than cute girls and boys. He's also a lover of culture and fine art, as he believes such things highlight the true beauty of the world. Has a penchant for crossdressing; not only does he look great no matter what he wears, but it also makes it easier to seduce cute guys (and some girls, too).

History: A young man with French roots, but whose family have lived in Sanctuary for generations. None-the-less, he is still proud of his heritage and the culture of his family's homeland. Whilst his life hasn't been particularly eventful, he is rather infamous around town for being a relentless wannabe womanizer and, um, manizer. His actual success rate isn't actually that impressive (most of his potential conquests are put off by his habit of coming on a little too strong), but his attempts coupled with his almost impossibly good looks have made him pretty well known. Currently, though, he is enamoured by a girl from his high school named Misty Dulac, drawn to her partly because of her own French roots, partly because of her tomboyish good looks, but mostly because she seems to not want to have anything to do with him or anyone else besides some girl from another school. His ultimate goal is, somewhat tragically, to one day see her in a swimsuit.

Abilities: Jean-Marie is an amazing cook, and anything he makes is so delicious it is almost impossible to not want to beg for seconds. He's exceptionally cultured and quite the fan of fine art and classical music, and is a half-decent violinist. His most notable ability, however, is that he looks damn fine in both male and female clothing, his androgynous appearance making it difficult to tell that he's actually a guy whilst he's crossdressing. Jean-Marie is bilingual, being perfectly fluent in both English and French.

Artifact: La Pucelle - A Maiden's Pure Heart. An amulet representing the pure soul of a martyr, protecting the owner from corruption both spiritual and physical. It provides Jean-Marie with a measure of protection against mental interference, as well as making him immune to intoxication, poisoning and disease.

Name: Oliver Seuss
Gender:Male
Age: 17
Reincarnation Of: Odysseus
Appearance: Definitely the face of a legendary trickster, yup

Personality: Though actually a fairly intelligent and deliberate person, Oliver is lazy beyond belief, saying that dealing with large groups of people tires him out. For the same reason, he acts like a complete loon and slacker in school so that his teachers won't expect anything much of him.

Despite this, he can be a rather kind-hearted and loyal person to those people he believes are truly good, and will go to great lengths to protect and help anyone he considers a friend or cares about. He's loves trickery and has absolutely no code of honor whatsoever when it comes to those who fall outside that category, and the few people who have felt his ire over the years insist that he's secretly incredibly cruel, a fact that no one believes due to his apparently goofy and eccentric behavior.

History: Oliver used to throw his absolute best at life, trying to live up to the strict expectations of his father, a famous doctor. But after a break-down three years ago he decided to just take life at his own pace, regardless of how it affects others opinions of him. As such, he's mostly remained in the background in school barring occasional fits of ridiculous behavior whenever he is called on in class and only acting like his old serious and competent self around his friends.

Abilities: Oliver is an excellent liar, manipulator and a (he thinks at least) cunning trickster. Was formerly an archery prodigy before his breakdown as well as a fairly decent martial artist, though what he lacks in skill and strength he makes up for in pragmatism.

Artifact: Bag of The Winds-This leather bag was given to Odysseus as a gift from Aeolus, Keeper of the Winds, in order to speed his journey home to Ithaca.While the Winds are supposedly stored inside, for now the bag can only create short bursts of air rather than the massive wind-storms that it unleashed in the past.

• Name: Nicole Augustine
  
• Gender: Female
  
• Age: 17
  
• Reincarnation Of: Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus
  
• Appearance: "H-Hey, I was practising in private!" It's dyed.
  
• Personality: Over-enthusiastic and prone to showing off and taking any opportunity to do anything artistic, Nicole puts herself into everything and tends to end up in a rather burnt-out slump afterwards, just lying there and being rather dead to the world, except to make sarcastic comments on whatever's going on. The concept of 'moderation' is nowhere near her, and she has raided her parents' drink cabinet on more than one occasion.
  
• History: She has terrible luck with bands, and her first school (her parents moved away from Sanctuary after she was born... only to move back) rather inexplicably burnt down. She's won quite a few art and music awards but her performance has been rather lacklustre of late due to intermittent headaches.
  
• Abilities: Good guitar player, good artist, and good enough at maths to consider a career as an architect. She cannot, however, spell to save her life, and tends to be baffled by sciences.
  
• Artifact: Whilst Rome Burns--Devoted Musician. A gemstone hanging from a string, it gives Nicole the ability to induce feelings in those that see her perform or see her art. The problem is that she's unfortunately stuck with inducing general enthusiasm at the moment. Good for practising and keeping a crowd entertained, but other stuff...

• Name: Robin Locke
  
• Gender: Female
  
• Age: 12
  
• Reincarnation Of: Robin Hood
  
• Appearance: "This is my hiding place..."
  
• Personality: A quiet and somewhat reserved girl, Robin is just at home going on long walks in her own company as spending time with friends. She can't stand bullies, but she finds those that abuse positions of power even more abhorrent, and tends to do her best to humiliate them. She's very keen to share.
  
• History: Nothing special. :<
  
• Abilities: Good hand/eye co-ordination, can set up rudimentary traps, and has a very nice sense of direction. Kind of average when it comes to academics, though, and not that good in any sort of leadership situation. How unsurprising.
  
• Artifact:Yew Longbow. Generates an infinite supply of arrows and makes Robin an excellent archer, though it's still nigh impossible for her to draw and use the thing, since she's rather small. Presumably grants an amazing ability to blend into forests.

• Name: Megan Giles
  
• Gender: Female
  
• Age: 18
  
• Reincarnation Of: Medusa
  
• Appearance: "I-I'm ready..."
  
• Personality: Extremely shy and retiring around girls, mumbling most of the time and never, ever making eye contact for any reason. This is still preferable to her attitude to men: get away if she can, completely ignore them if she can't, and curl up if they get too close.
  
• History: Megan... has lead a rather boring life, and her inexplicable terror around men wasn't readily apparent at first due to her father being nowhere to be found. When it did become apparent, though... so far, absolutely nothing has managed to get her to overcome it, though at least she can now stay in the same room if necessary. Secretly has a hobby of shipping girls together, and she seems to really like blondes for some reason.
  
• Abilities: Can ride a horse, and is good enough at drawing that she spends some lessons (guess what they share in common) just drawing female characters in various compromising positions and hoping people ignore her. Good at baking cakes.
  
• Artifact: Medusa's Eyes. They are, naturally, her eyes, but at this point in time the only effects they have is superior visual acuity... and snakes like her and want to sit on her head. It can only get worse from here, unless someone can help...

Name: Fiona Mackay

Gender: Female

Age: 17

Reincarnation of: Fionn mac Cumhaill

Appearance: What do you mean she's holding it wrong?

Personality: Fiona is extremely cheerful and energetic. She dislikes studying and seems to lose all her energy and enthusiasm when a task involves reading. She is always willing to help her friends out when they're in trouble, regardless of any danger to herself. She has a bit of a sweet tooth and has learned to cook in order to satisfy it.

History: Fiona's life has been fairly unremarkable. She was born, she goes to school, she scrapes by with the least amount of study possible and she plays on a local soccer team. Nothing worth mentioning really...Oh! She had a puppy when she was younger, but it...no wait, it's still alive.

Abilities: Fiona is fairly athletic, good at most FPS and fighting games and a decent cook. She also has the amazing ability to fail any test, regardless of how much of the information needed for it is right in front of her.

Artifact: Fionn's crane-skin bag. Fiona can pull any medieval weapon she can think of out of the bag and will instantly know how to use them (although for now, this is more competence than mastery). Fiona can only pull weapons she has a decent knowledge of out of the bag and as such she is limited swords and bows at the moment. However she can also pull the one thing she remembers clearly from her dreams out of the bag, a small pendant shaped like a spearhead. This pendant, which is nowadays believed to have been a full sized spear that Fionn stabbed himself in the head with, allows her to resist magical mind manipulation.

As the connection with her past life grows, the variety of weapons, the potency of the magic in them and the level of proficiency she gains while using them will all increase.

Gender: Male

Reincarnation of: Momotaro

Appearance: This is totally a badass brawler...

Personality: Matthew is shy and introverted, with very few friends. Even around his friends, he's fairly quiet and reserved. He seems to perk up considerably around animals, becoming cheerful and playful.

Abilities: He's got an amazing singing voice, but other than that he's not particularly athletic or smart and has never had any reason to learn how to cook.

Artifact: Momotaro's kibi dango. For a short time after taking a bite of one, he gets a slight boost to his strength and gains the ability to talk to animals. Although the animals won't feel particularly inclined to put their lives on the line for him. In addition, if an animal is fed part of one of the kibi dango, it will also gain the strength boost, however this does not apply to other people.

As the connection with his past life grows, the duration and level of the strength boost will increase and animals are more likely to do what he asks them to.

• Personality: Friendly, slow to take action over anything, and not prone to worrying, Jacqueline (or Jack, mostly, since she thinks that takes way too long to say) is perfectly calm and sensible, much more than you'd expect someone missing their dominant arm to be. Except when blood is involved, at which point it's rather hard to get her out of the nearest corner through any means, though handing her something soft, or finding her pet rabbit, tends to work when she's at home.
  
• History: Was a perfectly normal little girl up until three years ago, when she was caught in a car accident. Fine for the most part, a crumpled door practically severed her arm anyway, and the safest thing to do was to remove it entirely. This accident has understandably given Jacqueline an intense fear of blood, so...
  
• Abilities: Just about average academically, but somewhat gifted when it comes to the human body (partly as a result of looking everything up that she could after her accident), and with extremely poor handwriting, Jacqueline has no real stand-out skills. She's surprisingly capable with helping in the kitchen, though, despite her normal awkwardness. Good with a knife.
  
• Artifact: Ripper's Knife--Instrument of Mutilation: Conveys the uncanny ability to get away from almost any situation without notice, though that rather requires carrying around a knife, which isn't in Jacqueline's best interests. Later on grants the wonderful ability to easily cut throats and efficiently mutilate corpses, as well as removing entire organs without difficulty.
