An enemy?!
With a fierce look, Maylene glared at the other group. Why did they have enemies here? Well, if her mistress' life was in danger... Maylene reached into the pocket of her apron, producing several blades. Offering the parasol to her mistress, Maylene said urgently, "I'll protect you, mistress. You simply have to keep the sun from harming you."
As disrespectful as it was to demand her mistress carry the parasol... protecting her would be much easier this way. She could apologise later...

"...We have to what now?" Shiro asked as Kiva went of to fight some other guy and his party. The young mage was a tad lost at the sudden fighting. Hm... direct confrontation was too risky right now. If going to these databank things would keep him safe...
And so Shiro followed after Chie hurriedly. Not necessarily following her, just getting the hell out of anyone's direct line of sight until he could properly inflcit damage on something.

Flint flinched as Kiva's blows connected with Wizard. There was, quite literally, nothing he could do to help the man. If he tried to intervene, he'd probably give him less than a second's thought and kill him casually like he was a random redshirt in a film. He didn't fancy his chances against any of Kiva's buddies, either.
Understandably, he didn't wish to play cannon fodder, and so he stood tensely, knowing that he needed to do something, but not realising what it was.
As Kiva rushed toward Wizard, Malak pulled his lightsaber from his belt and activated it with a flourish, the long ruby blade droning with menace as it reflected off the brassy hues of his armour. Rather than holding it in the more familiar two handed style, the Dark Lord of the Sith held the weapon in only one of his thick hands, keeping it pointed at all times toward Wizard and his party.
Kiva's request (Malak's pride refused to register it as a command) caused the Sith Lord's brow to furrow. How curious. Couldn't they kill this man's mentor - the coincidence was not lost on Malak - and slaughter his allies before they could pose a threat? It was immaterial to gaining what he desired, however; if they acted quickly enough, these weaklings would be inconsequential.
"Very well..." said the Sith Lord. Aside from his voice and the jaw prothesis, what was also unusual (if not perhaps surprising) was that the prothesis did not move at all when he talked. Throwing up his free hand, Malak called upon the Force in an attempt to telekinetically shove Wizard. Whether or not this manouevre succeeded in turning the tide in Kiva's favour, the tall Sith powered his way toward the 'data banks', taking long, loping strides.

Alice stood and watched the fighting with nothing less than irritation. It was nothing more than an obstacle on the way to getting dressed but one that she couldn't easily overcome: any attack she made would probably hit the pair of them. Additionally, she only had two dolls with her, so the high effectiveness of Return Inanimateness (AKA: toss a doll and detonate them with a combined magic/gunpowder explosion) didn't really justify potential friendly fire. As a result, the magician stood and waited. Orion tilted her head at the fight and then did as instructed, veering over to the library and noting the locked door she had encountered, having slipped somewhat around the side of it. Had she been at full strength, the vampire would simply have punched through the door, but as it was she required complex but low power runes, traced with a pencil she had in her pocket, in order to achieve the same sort of thing.
Though it took an oddly long time, the locking mechanism cleanly snapped in two and the door swung open, admitting the vampire into a world of books yet to be catalogued, needing restoration, or simply not fitting.

"Maylene, the people who were following the attacker, he ordered them into that library," Rosalie said, taking the parasol and carefully positioning it over herself. It would not to well to be exposed to the sunlight now... "Why would he send them to a library, of all places...? This is... confusing..."
Why would he send his followers into a library? Well... there was no time for this. Rosalie needed to figure out the situation. There was not much she could do from here... however, the library was enclosed. She could perhaps manage to interrogate one of the attacker's followers. At the very least, she could do more inside then she could here. "Maylene, can you get us inside the library? I can do much more inside then I can out here."
As she reached the door, Chie briefly noticed that the pale girl had used some form of runic magic to cleave through the door's lock. She nodded, briefly, before quickly darting inside. A book. She needed to find a book... she did not know the specifics, or which book it really was that she needed to find, but it was something. She could, theoretically, check all the books in the location. Perhaps one would fit the description that Kiva had provided...

Chie and Orion entered the library with little difficulty, though several people began to look at her, including the librarian, who calmly asked her: "Are you here to take out a book?"
Wizard and Kiva were soon in a tussle on the ground, grabbing at each other's arms. "The Circuits! Crush the Circuits in your hands!" Wizard said to Joe, Nash, and Flint. Joe raised his eyebrow, then saw a guy revealing a lightsaber.
"What? These guys have lightsabers?" Joe asked in amazement. He then looked at the stone slab he had in his hand, then tried to crush it. It crumbled like it was just sand compacted into a tight square. Suddenly, Joe felt a rush of energy in his body as he saw images of people holding their hands out and preforming different moves, but most importantly, he saw images of people exactly like Malak. Those who wield Lightsabers. Joe then flung his hands at the Sith and shot out lighting from his finger tips.
As that happened, Wizard was flung off of Kiva via Malak's force and into Nash, who crushed his Circuit upon impact. He too felt a rush, but instead saw images of many people running around, throwing metallic objects and making shapes with their hands. He subconsciously recreated these shapes, and soon, he disappeared in a puff of smoke. In his place was a log. He reappeared a few centimeters away from Wizard, and noticed Chie running to the library. He chased after her.
Kiva got up and adjusted the hood. He took advantage of Wizard's fall to run off to the library as well.

Killroy strolled into the library past the tussling wizards, though he couldn't quite remember what in the library was quite so important that getting to it was more important to the supposed bad guy than finishing off his enemies.
"So...what kind of book are we looking for again?"

Flint saw the lightsaber a split second after Joe pointed it out. Were this a dream, the motorcyclist might have blurted out something to the effect of "Cool!". As it was, it only served to make him feel even more outmatched.
Wizard's instruction was heeded with only a moment of hesitation. Crushing his tablet (which seemed to give way surprisingly easily) with a hand, Flint waited for whatever was going to happen. The surge of energy almost bowled him over, something not helped by the confusing images rushing through his head: men and women in robes, wielding lightsabers in a dizzying array of colours. People being tossed aside like ragdolls or worse by a mere act of will.
Once that subsided, however, Flint felt like he'd suddenly seized a length of live wire - his skin felt warm, almost painfully so, while a faint yet insistent buzz forced its' way into his perceptions. His thoughts felt turbulent, hard to grasp in the sheer flood of information pummeling his senses. He could feel the initial torrent begin to slowly subside, but concentrating on anything more than the basics was immensely difficult. Stumbling, he lashed out blindly in the Force at Malak.
The Sith Lord felt a pathetic telekinetic nudge. It had been haphazard and poorly controlled, doing little more than slightly forcing him forward. Even an initiate could have managed better than whoever was responsible for that sorry excuse of an attack. Wheeling around just in time to see the sizzling bolts of Force energy come toward him, Malak acted purely on instinct and held out his lightsaber, allowing the energy blade to trap and contain the energy before it became too much of a risk.
It seemed that he was not the only Force user here. As much as he would have liked to investigate further, he had more important things to do. If the Force user - or Force users - somehow managed to catch up with him, he could indulge in such things then. But for now, he had to go. Channeling the Force through his legs, Malak vaulted high into the air, aiming to take a quick path to the library.

"Heeeeeeeeey! I wanna fight you!" Joe said as he ran off to pursue Malak. Meanwhile, Nash entered the library.
"Beats me..." Nash said.
Just then, during the tussle, Wizard knocked part of Kiva's hood off, burning the exposed skin to the sun. Kiva screamed in pain. He then, with all his strength, knocked Wizard off him and put his hood back on, rushing into the library.
"Remember, seek out the Bridge of Courage and the Prisoner!" Kiva said to the people who were following him in the library. Kiva then turned to Nash and Killroy.
"So... Students of Wizard? Very well, you shall die before this journey even begins!" Kiva said as he moved to attack Killroy.

"...I can, but with the amount of enemies that are also trying to get inside..." Maylene began with a hint worry. These were all completely unknown people, and Maylene didn't want to place her mistress in a position where she could end up surrounded with powerful opponents, no matter how strong she herself was. Still... while she was outside, Rosalie would have a much more difficult time defending herself. Well, the solution was obvious: Simply defend Rosalie from any and all harm.
"Follow me, mistress." Maylene requested, quickly moving around the battle between the wizards. Reaching into the pocket of her apron, the maid produced two blades and watched for any sudden movements their way.

Maylene was clearly quite concerned. And Rosalie could certainly understand why. Things were... hectic, and confusing. On top of that, they were dangerous. However, Rosalie felt the best option was to enter the library. She could at least defend herself, there, without all the annoying sunlight keeping her from doing much of anything. "I will be fine, Maylene."
She swiftly followed Maylene, keeping a sharp eye out for any dangerous and being sure to keep her parasol in place.
"..."
Chie regarded the librarian for a moment, then swiftly began rifling through the shelves without a word. One of these books gave the answer... she could infer that the book would most likely be easily recognizable, but that wasn't guaranteed. Luckily, there was another here to help her search. This would lead to locating the book much more quickly.

"Umm... do you have any books on bridges and gaols?" the white-haired vampire girl asked, scratching her head and looking around, "I kinda need them for a project of mine and... umm... a friend didn't give me much to work on or anything..."
It wasn't a very good explanation and it sounded more like she was planning to bust someone out of prison than go on some interdimensional scavenger hunt in order to find a guy that may or may not be imprisoned somewhere. She hadn't really been paying too much attention. Alice, certain that the fight was of no interest to her, slunk into the library and removed her two dolls from storage once she was certain that no-one was around to see. One went off to find a catalogue in order to narrow down where in the library she was searching, and the other was kept on her shoulder until she found the right area in the catalogue. That determined, she sent BOTH dolls to read books there, extremely glad of her well-practised ability to focus on multiple things at once, and slowly headed over to the right section of shelves.

"Oh, you mean Bridge building, it's over there." The librarian said, pointing to the isle that showed a lot of construction books.
Chie could find the word Prisoner on one of the spines of the book. There were more words on the spine, saying "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban"'
The shelves that the dolls were looking was odd. Instead of the shelves being littered with books, they were instead filled with manga.
