This story takes place in a world where the monsters that the heroes of old fought didn't die out, rather, they withdrew from the world. Forced out by people such as Saint George, King Arthur and Momotaro. During their exile, these creatures waited, biding their time, meanwhile humanity lost most of its need for dragon slayers, exorcists and the like. In the past decade, strange things have begun happening in the Japanese coastal city of Shinwamachi. Most people are unaware of these events, but for one month each year, the city is host to some unpleasant guests. A portal to the other world opens each night and the creatures come out to reclaim the world they were driven from. The first time this happened, it took everyone by surprise. Fortunately, there were still some who practiced magic within the city, although, as it was more out of tradition than any real need to use it, they were far weaker than the mages of the past. They created a barrier to try to hold the monsters back while help was called in. The sudden surge of magical energy from the portal had acted as a distress beacon that magically aware individuals felt across the globe. The surge came with the very clear feeling that something was wrong. By the time help began arriving, the barrier had broken. The few mages the city had were slaughtered. It was a miracle that the reinforcements successfully repelled the demons that year. Following the disaster, the mayor of Shinwamachi, a man by the name of Akihiko Kurosawa, established ATLAS. A small corps of mages and other powered individuals, properly trained to combat these creatures. In the following years, ATLAS continued its work, successfully fighting off each invasion with minimal losses. Having trained for combat, rather than just using whatever magic their families had deemed useful, these people were far more powerful than the initial force. Each year, the members of ATLAS' combat force are given the option to retire from field work. They are given the option of living in Shinwamachi as a reserve force, a last line of defence in case the new recruits fail in their duties. If they take this offer, they are given positions within the organisation, working to help cover up any problems the monsters cause, helping to develop new training methods, researching the makeup of the portal and the demon world or more mundane tasks, like cooking and cleaning. Of course, this is not compulsory and they are free to return to their homelands with the large payments they recieved for their field work. This year, thanks to the organisation's research findings and improved training methods, they believe the candidates will have the strength to launch an attack into enemy territory, to make this year the final battle.
Standard RPing rules apply, no godmodding, no ghosting, stuff like that. As far as the setting goes, magic is not common knowledge. In fact, magic seems to actively resist mundane people's attempts to understand it, forcing their minds to create seemingly logical explanations and causing them to forget when that's not possible. The ability to use magic is passed down through a bloodline, as are affinities for certain elements. It is possible for a person to have multiple affinities, although this is extremely rare. Just because a mage doesn't have an affinity for an element, doesn't mean they can't cast spells related to that element, however the spells will be weaker than they would if the caster had the correct affinity. While the ability to cast spells is inherited, the spells themselves need to be learned. As a mage practices more and more, it is possible for them to reach the point where they can shorten a spell's incantation or run through it in their mind. Despite what the intro may suggest, characters don't ''have'' to be mages. Although they will need to be supernaturally aware. Due to the way the portals work, daytime will be almost entirely combat free, so if people want to focus on character interaction, there will be time. While I'd prefer if the majority of the characters were human, it is possible for your character to be a benevolent demon/vampire/youkai, or to have such a creature in their ancestry. Keep in mind that they will need to look at least somewhat humanoid. We already have our villains, please keep this in mind when submitting a profile. While not everyone needs to be a perfect soldier, try to make your characters something that might actually get hired. So, no sadistic pyromaniacs, shadowy villain figures or former nazis. And finally, standard equipment for ATLAS operatives includes special candy-like pills that are enchanted to allow them to speak and understand Japanese, just to avoid any language barrier issues. Why candy and not just a normal enchantment? The head of R&D had her 6 year old daughter around when she was trying to design it.

Can they shoot the wings off a fly at 200 metres with a B.B. gun? Can they believe it's not butter? Try not to go too overpowered, I don't want to have to bring out half a dozen ancient dragons just to make the protagonists break a sweat.)

Name: Ryuuzaki Kotori (Japanese order) Gender: Female Appearance: A friend did this for me and he is awesome for it~ What the picture doesn't show is that she's actually pretty tall for a Japanese girl. Age: 17 Personality: Ryuuzaki sees herself as a modern day samurai of sorts, and is something of a traditionalist as her clothing choices seem to imply. She applies herself to any task she performs with utmost seriousness, and can come off a little intimidating at first, but she is a well meaning, honest and loyal to a fault. She dreams of becoming a "Samurai of the People", not bound to a single lord but pledged to help mankind as a whole, and as such tries her hardest to trust the word of those she meets completely, her staunch belief in the better nature of people often coming off as a naivety at odds with her otherwise serious demeanour. She seems as though she was born a few centuries too late, and would've been much more at home during the time of the samurai; she's not at all comfortable with the modern world and finds it difficult operating most appliances. She can come off as somewhat tomboyish, and were this being written in Japanese she would refer to herself using masculine pronouns. Ryuuzaki hates her given name, Kotori, and prefers to be called by her family name, Ryuuzaki. Background: Ryuuzaki was born to a poor family, who somehow always managed to be thrifty enough to maintain ownership of a dojo, which she intends to inherit when she comes of age. Her family are traditionalists, and celebrate the old ways of the samurai and their bushido code, and Ryuuzaki wouldn't have them any other way. Her family has always known about the masquerade, and have been willing to help defend the innocent mundane people from the threats they don't understand for generations. Recently, she has been working alongside ATLAS, for they quickly realised the value that a samurai skilled in the demon slaying sword would have to their operation. Powers and Abilities: Insanely skilled with her sword. She practices Shinken Densetsu style kenjutsu, an ancient style mostly forgotten by the world that holds great power in its techniques. Most notably, she is able to use the legendary Tsubame Gaeshi technique, which has been passed down through the Ryuuzaki clan for generations. She's also generally atheletic all around, and possessed of far greater strength and agility than one would expect from a regular human. Ryuuzaki is also a somewhat skilled cook; whilst she's not exactly the best cook around, her food is still usually delicious and edible. She also plays the ryuteki, and has a wonderful singing voice. Items and Weapons: Wields the cursed sword Daikyouken, Blade of Calamity, what looks like a simple wooden katana but is in fact nigh-indestructable and capable of slicing through solid rock. As a cursed weapon, it is able to harm spirits, ghosts and other incorporeal entities. The sword is an heirloom of her family; thus, Ryuuzaki will not part with it for any reason.

(Work In Progress) - Name: Ryohei Takagi
- Gender: MANLY
- Appearance: A real man only needs the fire in his soul to keep warm
Age: 17
- Personality: Ryohei is hot-blooded and often overdramatic. He is prone to shouting out his attacks even though they're most often just different variations on punches. in fact he mostly refuses to do anything but punch in a fight as he believes that all men can speak a universal language of fists. Manliness is a central tenant of his life that he's used to create his own code of conduct. While he's not stupid, he often doesn't think things through before acting.
- Background: Ryohei was raised by monks but always dreamed of becoming a professional boxer and clashed with his often tranquil and tightly disciplined surroundings, eventually leaving and taking a prized copy of a set of sutras with him.
- Powers and Abilities: Ryohei is a highly skilled boxer and fighter with strength and speed that is unexpected in a human being due to sheer physical training. Despite all that his main asset in a fight is his ability to endure physical punishment through sheer determination. Oddly, he's also well versed in certain aspects of being a monk he felt were sufficiently cool or manly including meditation-techniques and bodily control, most of which just bolsters his endurance.
- Items and Weapons: Ryohei uses fist wraps that are actually incantations from holy scriptures and is able to activate them at will. The right hand burns with fire whereas the left hand emanates freezing cold. They function at a low level at first but their power increases each time Ryohei gets hit and is capable of increasing up to seven times.

Everyone looks good so far, accepted. - Name: Koizumi Sachiko
- Gender: Female
- Appearance: Her most common form.
- Age: Old.
- Personality: Most of the time, Sachiko can best be described as bored and lazy. Although she tends to perk up considerably around those that remind her of 'the good old days', becoming cheerful and energetic. Really enjoys fighting if she thinks an opponent's strong enough to be worth her time.
- Background: Sachiko was a cat, she lived for over a hundred years, she became a nekomata. Following that, she found a couple that couldn't concieve, revealed herself to them in the form of a child and convinced them to adopt her. Since then she's been living as that family's descendants, resetting to the form of a child when necessary. She hasn't really done anything worth mentioning in her lifetime. She wishes things could go back to the way they used to be, before all of the less pleasant supernatural creatures got sealed away. In the past decade, she has taken it upon herself to fight every group of ATLAS recruits. While most personnel who've been through this "test" accept it as just a test to make sure they're not getting in over their heads, she doesn't make a habit of holding back.
- Powers and Abilities: Sachiko can shapeshift (although she's limited to human forms and a monstrous two-tailed cat, roughly the size of an adult tiger), conjure illusions, has physical prowess exceeding that of most humans and can turn the recently deceased into zombies by stepping over their corpses. In addition, she is skilled with a sword.
- Items and Weapons: Those two swords, enchanted to never lose their edge, that's pretty much it.
- Name: Aoi Momoko
- Gender: Female
- Appearance: The result of 9 years of anti-demon research.
- Age: 17
- Personality: Momoko is a naive, sweet natured girl. She tends to have trouble understanding when people are lying, joking or using metaphors. She is extremely eager to make friends with her fellow recruits, as her lifestyle hasn't exactly left her with many chances to meet people. As she isn't exactly well practiced at this whole "social interaction" thing, she sometimes asks awkward questions or bugs people to the point of annoyance.
- Background: Momoko is the daughter of two members of ATLAS, a researcher and a now retired member of the combat forces. Since she was 8, her science obsessed mother has used her as a guinea pig for one of her experiments. "What does the vapour coming off of this strange talisman we found in the monster world do?" Well, it seems that overexposure to the the dark mist had some strange effects on the girl. It turned one of her eyes pink (a fact she is very sensitive about) and appears to have given her access to a rather strange shadow manipulating ability. Other than these experiments and having been home schooled, her life has been fairly uneventful so far.
- Powers and Abilities: Momoko has the ability to manipulate shadows. She can transform her own shadow into physical items, generally a black flamberge that can cut through any mundane armour or a black gothic lolita dress that seems to be highly resistant to physical attacks. It shouldn't come as a surprise that while she’s using this ability, her shadow seems to disappear.
In addition, her father trained her in some magic. Specifically, cloning magic. Unfortunately, she wasn't particularly good at it and can only create miniature versions of herself. That said, a small army of tiny girls with swords that can cut through almost any non-magical matter is still potentially dangerous, even if they are only six inches tall. She can only summon up to ten of these clones at a time. She feels any strong sensation her clones feel. Finally, she can temporarily transfer her consciousness to one of the clones to gain total control over it, as they are otherwise rather simple minded.
- Items and Weapons: None. She definitely doesn't own a modified remote controlled monster truck that she sometimes drives when possessing one of her clones.
- Name: Alex Fenn
- Gender: Male
- Appearance: Heaven or Hell? Let's Rock!
- Age: 17
- Personality: Alex's personality is strangely contradictory. He is polite, perverted, kind, respectful, overly cruel and enthusiastic in combat. His parents insist that this is because of his...heritage and that he used to be such a sweet boy.
- Background: Alex was born in London, where he grew up and was schooled. He had a fairly normal and uneventful life until 10 years ago. The surge of magical energy that came when the portal to the other world was first opened woke some strange inheritance from some demonic and angelic ancestors in the boy, causing him to gain certain traits of both creatures. He was recruited by ATLAS due to his nature and the fact that he genuinely wants to help people.
- Powers and Abilities: Fully functional wings and a prehensile tail, greater strength than most humans, the ability to shroud his fists in, or shoot balls of hellfire and healing. Unfortunately, his demon blood weakens his healing powers, making them weaker than most human mages.
- Items and Weapons: Clothes. Mostly of the "schoolgirl uniform" variety. Did I mention that he's a little odd?

Name: Shiro Kurosaki Gender: Female Appearance: "Join me in the dance of death."Age: Physically fifteen when she died. Would be about 25 now. Personality: In life, she was cheerful and vibrant, and pretty much the life of a party. Now? Well, in battle she becomes an emotionless machine, though it's mostly to add some creepiness to her general appearance. When she's simply with Sachiko, Shiro simply acts like herself - A cheerful, vibrant, ditzy zombie who would do anything for Sachiko. Background: Was once a cheerful and bright human girl who rigorously practised kendo, finding a rival in Sachiko, whom she hadn't known was a nekomata at the time. After an unfortunate hit-and-run accident, Shiro was revived as Sachiko's zombie familiar, and has faithfully remained by her side since. That was ten years ago now. While she occasionally misses the life she once had, she believes a new future with Sachiko is just as good, if not better than what she could have had. Powers and Abilities: -Good at kendo, though her skills have dropped. -Great with a scythe -Technically un-killable as long as Sachiko supports her body with magic, but she can still be pinned down/rendered immobile or such other tactics. Items and Weapons: Her scythe, the ''Farmer's Choice''.

Name: Beatrix Alexandria Katherine Avalon Gender: Female Appearance: "My skill and superiority knows no limits."Age: 13 Personality: Somehow, Beatrix it into her head that she is simply awesome. Cute, intelligent, skilled and perfect are descriptors she's given herself. Just too bad that, outside of her power, she's a poor student, has little patience to apply herself, is quite naive, and a somewhat NEET-ish lifestyle has left her as little more than a brat with social awkwardness. Makes it much harder to make friends, especially when Beatrix has the strange idea that everyone should be her servant. But when she gets scared, she really gets scared. Though she'll instantly act brave and fearless if this is pointed out to her. Almost convincingly, too. Background: Effectively an ordinary, if rich, girl. There was this one incident with a demon back when she was five, but she's completely erased this from her memory. This HAS left a fear of darkness and monsters with her, though. Good thing her family (father's side) were also magic users... Powers and Abilities: -Has the power to forget whatever she wants. Could probably also use it on others, but since she isn't even aware of this power... -Above average violinist. -Has magic potential, though she's completely untrained. Her affinity would be Wind. - Can invoke extreme annoyance in everyone

- Name: Kagami
- Gender: Female
- Appearance: Replace bra with a bikini. If the gun's holstered, she holds Mr. Teddy. Looks to be in her early twenties.
- Age: She was alive before the Warring States period.
- Personality: Laid black, quiet, and prone to teasing her charge in physical ways, ESPECIALLY by insisting on helping her to bathe and get changed regardless of if she wants it or not. And sharing her bed 'just in case'. She's a bit nervous about running into anything powerful with Fiona around, since she hasn't revealed her secret yet...
- Background: Centuries ago, a poor family gave birth to a young girl of unusual hair colour. They weren't sure whether it was some curse she was born over, or if her ramblings about a 'Lord of the Flies' actually made sense, but the child had an unnatural affinity for insects... and they for her. After they caught her letting a leech enter her bloodstream as she neared adulthood, they drove the 'monster' out.
Penniless, illiterate, and starving, the renamed Kagami came to rely more and more on her influence over insects, until eventually the unreachable insides of her body didn't look human in the slightest and soldiers made a good source of nutrition. She never really looked back after that. Not the best at reading, but enough to be a bodyguard.
- Powers and Abilities:
- Insect Body: The inside of Kagami's body? Composed entirely of various insects, some of them bound up tighter than is physically possible. It can be replenished with anything (though she breeds those she likes where Fiona can't see, and swaps out those that need to be kept for a long time so she has replacements stored) and insects can be converted into a human covering with little difficulty. There are a large bunch of those with no purpose, just kept there in case of injury, but there are some notable ones:
- Scarab Beetles: Reinforced with her magic and used to provide a measure of protection for the rest of the squishy insides. Capable of taking low-power bullets without difficulty and slowing the progress of stuff less than anti-armour; Kagami's bad at the 'magic' side.
- Leeches: Good for several things, she's MOSTLY leeches. Stretching, bending... they basically form her muscle and skeleton, whereas the scarabs are body armour. A special variant infused with her magic for several years can merge into a gaping maw or ropes; tying enemies up or sucking them dry.
- Spiders: She can make ANYTHING you can make with spider silk. Anything. Ropes, clothes, body armour, garottes, carpets, webs... oh, or she can just pour out a horde of poisonous spiders, some with magical poisons that can cause even resistant stuff to weaken and start decaying.
- Dragonflies: Like the leeches, kept for years. She can fly using them--backless stuff is needed, though--when they're fused.
- Insect Control: Leads to the above. They answer to her. Especially maggots, though she finds them more trouble than they're worth
- Implausible Aim: She's got lots of practice, from muskets downwards, after all, and has borrowed the best some insects have to offer to help. The fact she casually absorbs recoil from such a heavy gun helps.
- Items and Weapons: Her handgun. It's custom-made and fires shotgun slugs, so it can punch holes in most mundane things. Not the best for distance shooting, though. There's also Mr. Teddy, who she's had for decades and loves to sleep with.
- Name: Aizawa Mikoto
- Gender: Female
- Appearance: "You can see? Don't care. Lemme sleep."
- Age: 143
- Personality: Lazy and sleepy, at least during daylight hours, but generally reasonably affable if you do make her stay awake and do things, though in that situation Mikoto's attention often wanders mid conversation and it's best not to say too much in one go. She's very attached to her cat... thing and will violently react to anyone's touching it.
She's a surprisingly good cook, even in that state.
- Background: Born, survived in a shinto temple for a hundred years, spent the next thirty or so watching them before joining up with ATLAS and getting clothes.
- Powers and Abilities:
- Shapeshifting: Human to fox and back again. She can hide the ears and tail if she wants to. Her clothes don't go with her, so she's kind of used to ending up naked after going and spying on people.
- Illusions: She can't do the big 'rewrite your world' ones, but tricking things into attacking an area to her left, or hiding something simple like a fence? Easily done.
- Onmyodo: Mikoto is a brilliant exorcist, so she's handy to have around in the case of demonic possession, ghosts, or haunting, but she also has a staff literally covered in talismans. Why? Things that get hit with it are either hurt because it's six foot of hardwood or because it's got so many charms and wards that they activate one of the repulsion charms and get blown back.
- Items and Weapons: See the above staff. Claims that the kitchens are hers, and often ends up sleeping on a counter-top.

- Name: Fiona Farwell
- Gender: Female
- Appearance: "Baka!"
- Age: 16
- Personality: Fiona is vocal. Mostly about things she doesn't like, or people she thinks are stupid. She is blunt and does not hesitate to talk about how she feels about such things or people, which usually includes a lot of different words for "stupid". She is somewhat spoiled due to her rich background, and she has an incredibly short temper. This occasionally results in explosions of physical violence, but it's usually just a lot of yelling. And when it does end up with physical violence, she generally feels bad about it even if she doesn't show it. Deep down, she isn't so bad and can actually be pretty nice and kind. Deep down. Fiona is sensitive about her lack of a chest and her all-around small size. Bringing it up will make her angry, teasing her about it is liable to make her deeply upset. This also results in her being jealous of those who have a more mature body type.
- Background: Fiona was born into the rich Farwell family(The branch in Japan, specifically). For most of her life, she was spoiled with toys and other possessions by her loving parents, but she was left with very little social interaction. This has lead to her current attitudes and lack of acceptance of people, as she doesn't know how to deal with people attempting to get closer to her.
- Powers and Abilities: Fiona has two main abilities. The first is simple, a basic magical manipulation of thermodynamics. While she can't freeze things or light them on fire unless they're already very vulnerable to freezing or ignition, but she can burn things if she focuses on a spot enough, or make them uncomfortably cold. The second ability is somewhat more complex. Fiona can form temporary magical contracts with others, if they agree to the conditions. The conditions being:
- The contracted must use the contractor as a source of mana.
- The contracted may not harm the contractor.
- The contracted must protect the contractor with their life.
- The contracted will die if the contractor dies.
The contract magic is sealed with a kiss to the forehead, in most cases. The temporary contracts can last a day at most, and the contracted usually gain a massive boost in power and regenerative capabilities, provided the contract was executed properly. There is also a permanent version of the contract, which makes it impossible for the contracted to die as long as the contractor is alive, but they must remain within a hundred feet of each other. Fiona has a high amount of mana, allowing her to supply anyone she contracts very well. However, overuse of her mana will cause her pain, and she will die if she completely runs out. The contracts are extremely difficult to break, even Fiona herself cannot void a permanent one, but magic designed to specifically break such contracts will do so.
- Items and Weapons: Nothing. At all.
- Name: Amelia
- Gender: Female
- Appearance: "More, please!"
- Age: As far as anyone can tell, she's about 9 or 10. In reality, she's much, much, much older.
- Personality: Amelia is everything you would expect out of a cheerful young girl. She's playful, friendly, and eager to meet new people and talk about new things. On top of that, she's a centuries-old demon with a vast amount of experience with her own kind and monsters... with the mindset and maturity of a child. This does not prevent her from being serious, and she becomes very dangerous when she's serious, but she is still a child in nature. A child who has been a child for well over a hundred years, but still a child. She enjoys stuffed toys, cute things... and food. She really, really likes food. Food is possibly one of her most very favorite things, and she enjoys eating as much as possible when it's mealtime. Amelia tends to become very attached to people who can cook well. This goes to the point of her declaring she loves them and following them around like a lost kitten when she's got free time. When she's in a fight, she is prone to becoming far more serious and focused. However, Amelia is easily confused. While she knows much about demons and monsters, people can easily baffle or confuse, and she is easily tricked.
- Background: A demon, Amelia became a part of ATLAS only recently. She eagerly joined, really, when she heard about they were attempting to do. The rest of Amelia's past, in spite of being long, isn't the most eventful thing.
- Powers and Abilities: As a demon, Amelia has inherent abilities. This includes the ability to eat as much as she wants and not gain weight. More importantly, she is capable of firing bolts of lightning out of her hands, as well as electrically charging her body and being immune to electrical damage. While she has no superior healing capabilities, if she is injured all she needs is a donation of mana. As demons are made out of mana, this will quickly repair her body.
- Items and Weapons: Nothing much, really.
- Name: Murakami Noriko
- Gender: Female
- Appearance: "Oh?"
- Age: 17
- Personality: Noriko has a flair for the dramatic. She has an upbeat personality and a cheerful disposition, and on top of that she delights in being as dramatic and putting as much of a flourish as she can on during a fight. Some would call her hammy for these reasons. On the other hand, she becomes remarkably more restrained and shy amongst people she doesn't know, though she's still fairly cheerful in those cases. Noriko really, really, really likes Card Captor Sakura, to the point of owning as much things related to the manga and anime as she possibly can, and covering her room in it. She is very proud of her collection, and will happily display it to anyone who asks. Noriko's intentional hamminess will be dropped when she's angered,
replaced with unintentional ham.
- Background: TBA
- Powers and Abilities: Noriko is skilled with enchanting objects. Her affinity, fire, rarely enters into her spells(save for her enchanted cards). She has a wide variety of stage magic props, including a large box that can fire swords out of it when opened, a large amount of explosive cards, and a hammerspace tophat used to store these items. She has a few offensive fire spells, but mostly relies on her enchanted items.
- Items and Weapons: Explosive playing cards and a sword-firing box, stores in her hammerspace top hat.

- Name: Fujimoto Kasumi
- Gender: Female
- Appearance: She has nice legs.
- Age: 20
- Personality: Whilst Kasumi is not, in fact, emotionless, she does her best to seem like she is and to carefully think about what she's going to do before doing it. The result is a cheerfully robotic girl who generally only takes immediate action when there's an emergency going on. One of the few ways to break her composure is to break into her room.
- Background: An ill girl and the child of two powerful magical users, Kasumi was noted as having little magical power herself. To try and compensate, they taught her hermetic magic; a style most suited to slowly gathering and refining magic from the world around the setup and releasing it equally continuously or in one blast. Then her health took a turn for the worse around her seventh birthday... and they overzealously worked to improve things, succeeding but going a bit too far. A few years later? The pair of them died in a rather alarming accident, and Kasumi ended up with ATLAS.
- Powers and Abilities:
- Hermetic Magic: By drawing runes and magical circles, she can cast powerful spells... it's just that it takes rather a lot of time for even a simple fireball. Things are improved somewhat by Kasumi's hand and practice, but it's by no means a quick process. She does, however, have the advantage of versatility. Her weak point? Low levels of magic stunt her abilities massively.
- Odd Lungs: She breathes magic in, stores some of it, and converts the rest to oxygen. The 'breathing' doesn't actually seem like such; she neither inhales nor exhales. The result is that she's quite capable of taking a stroll through water. Due to being a fusion of magic and technology, neither healing spells nor conventional medicine are any good for injuries. Same goes for the rest of her modified body parts.
- Odd Heart: Beating? Meh, unnecessary. Extremely good for adjusting to an increase in activity, and not at all bothered by being electrocuted. It is, however, rather creepy to any sensitive to such things, leaning on her, or with good hearing. She's rather like a corpse. Runs on magic. Noticing a pattern?
- Replacement Left Eye: Besides providing depth perception, it can see ambient magic levels and evaluate the flavour of foods without Kasumi's having to actually eat them first. It generally tells her whether to eat in ATLAS or go out for food.
- Right Hand: The actual palm and back of her hand has two magical circles. What does it do? Well, hand-like stuff... and it can draw runes and circles on the air, which makes hermetic magic a slightly more practical option in a combat scenario. It also packs a punch, being mostly steel.
- Athletic: She has cardiovascular fitness that puts Olympic athletes to shame and runs everywhere. It's not too surprising. 'Was' an ill girl.
- Items and Weapons: Supplies. On the off chance her hand breaks or doesn't work for some reason, her back is full of chalks, crayons, and various other things. It also includes sandwiches, a book full of runes and circles in case she needs to look up something obscure, a guidebook for Tokyo, a credit card, the keys for a motorbike, lubricant for some arcane reason, a cigarette lighter, a pack of playing cards, her phone, a pen-knife, and an enchanted dagger that can carve permanent circles by virtue of melting stone given a few seconds. Drawing with lava!

- Name: Fang Yun
- Gender: Male
- Appearance: [[http://www.zerochan.net/417443 Nihao.]]
- Age: 64
- Personality: He is somewhat impressionable and curious, much like a cat. He generally acts before he thinks, and is very straightforward; which makes his interactions with other people a bit on the direct side. He respects anybody who can cook good food and other martial artists.
- Background: Birthed in China, Fang was raised by a human mother who had great respect towards those who were strong in mind and body. As such, she attempted to raise her son to be the manliest of men. Unfortunately for her, his looks represented a problem and his general child-like mannerisms remained the same, even under the harshest training regiments she could give. Later on, the boy left home on a journey and was eventually settled into ATLAS, hoping that the job would make him "the manliest man that mother would be proud of."
- Powers and Abilities: Yun is very capable with his Chinese straight sword and unarmed martial arts. His fighting style is acrobatic in nature and unlike most other sword users, he specializes in midair attacks. With the blood of dragons running through his veins, this child is much stronger than a regular human. Water revitalizes his body and provides a boost, sometimes letting him partially transform parts of his body into his forebears', granting the use of his dragon claws.
- Items and Weapons: His Blue Dragon sword and the clothes on his back, including the dragon mask.

Probably more of an NPC than anything, if she shows up at all: - Name: Katrina Jager
- Gender: Female
- Appearance: Pretty much her standard outfit. She tried an eyepatch to match the cat once but she kept walking into things.
- Age: 16
- Personality: Katrina acts extremely confident in her powers and her knowledge of supernatural beings. Unfortunately, said powers are basically non-existant and most of her knowledge comes from RPGs. Despite the...issues this could potentially cause, she will gladly rattle off everything she knows about any given monster if asked, possibly giving some useful advice while she's at it.
- Background: Katrina's the only child of a powerful mage clan. Unfortunately, she knows nothing of this and neither do her parents. This is due to her great grandfather destroying all the family's magical texts and anything else that could clue them in to that part of their history.
That said, not knowing she was a mage did little to prevent her noticing the weird pull she felt towards Shinwamachi. So, on her sixteenth birthday (conveniently, around the time school holidays were starting), using money she'd been saving since she first got the weird feeling from the town, the girl caught a plane to Japan to see what the weirdness was about...and possibly to slay a dragon.
- Powers and Abilities: Katrina would have you believe that her red "evil eye" (which is totally not just a coloured contact lens) can see through all illusions and lies. She would also tell you that her pistols (which seem to just be toys) can fire blasts of mana, which can be modified to use elemental magic when it would be more effective. In reality, her only actual powers are being supernaturally aware and having a lot of mana (which she has no idea about).
Items and Weapons: Her pistols, a lot of fancy looking outfits and a cat with an eyepatch.
