A Resurgence of Divinity: A God RP

In this world, many belief systems have came and went. With them, came gods. But when these gods lost belief, they became weak. They diminished, and many were forced to retreat from the world in order to preserve themselves.

All that has changed.

Something has shifted. A distortion in the fabric of reality, the vast collection of memories, stories and a few new believers, all of this has allowed for the old gods to return. The Greek Pantheon, the Egyptian Pantheon, and hundreds more have been able to emerge into the world once more. All gain power from at least one true believer, but some are aided by stories, or simply by being remembered.

Belief is crucial to their continued presence in this world. Some gods may simply continue to gather it through worship. But others... others will seek different methods, killing their fellow gods in order to lessen the competition.

The gods who are still worshiped today now must deal with this resurgence of old gods. How will they react?

And just what is it that has caused this distortion in the fabric of reality? Not even the most powerful of gods could cause a true shift in the make of the universe.

• Personality: Artemis is serious-minded and calm... most of the time. She is prone to making biting, sarcastic comments to those she perceives as idiots, and has little to no tolerance for stupidity or fooling around. She takes a great deal of pride in her abilities as an archer and a hunter, and sometimes boasts that she has perfect aim. Which isn't really a boast, as her aim is beyond fantastic. Enough irritation will drive Artemis to yell and insult the source, berating them rather relentlessly. She does show softness towards young girls... provided they don't act stupid, too. She has a deep hatred for Hera, to the point of intending to kill her if she ever sees her once again.
  
• Abilities: Artemis is divinely strong. But she is weak by comparison to other gods, instead relying on agility and speed(also to divine levels, though she is not the fastest diety). However, her real abilities lie in what she can do with her bow and arrows. Curving arrows, firing them through walls, rapid-firing them, aim so impossibly near perfect that she nearly always hits her target unless they have abilities to match her own, firing dozens of arrows at once, Artemis is a master of archery. She is also capable of, oddly, turning men into young girls.

• Also Known As: Stone Monkey,Son Goku, the Handsome Monkey King, the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, Bimawen, Aware of Vacuity, and The Buddha Victorious in Strife.
  
• Domain(s): Defense, Ascetics, Monkeys, and Horses.
  
• Gender: Female
  
• Appearance: Any peaches here?
  
• Personality: Curious and a trickster, Sun Wukong is a very amicable person. She is playful and very flexible, and has a strong sense of justice. After she ascended, her bad side was mitigated and she is much more patient now and less prone to hotheadedness now. She's still a bit stubborn though.
  
• Abilities: Sun Wukong isvery strong and fast even for a god, her abilities being augmented for close combat and warfare. She's also good at anti-hazard wards and transformations (though she always keeps the tail). Having been a heavenly stable worker, horses adore her. Armed with an iron staff of celestial origins that can shrink to the size of a toothpick and grow to the size of a tower, Sun Wukong defends the Buddhist pantheon from all threats with her evil-detecting eyes.

• Personality: To quote Samuel Jackson, "Zeus couldn't keep it in his pants". Even though he had a smoking hot wife and all (it was even his sister to boot!), he always sought after other women, be they god or not. He keeps himself young and attractive to prevent the awkward fact that he's an old man boning so many women, though he's not afraid to try new things (like say... boning someone as a swan... No, I'm not making that up, he actually did that). You can almost expect that the first reaction to a girl (above 18, mind you) is going to be flirting... except if it's one of his offspring. If it is, then he'd be not unlike a father spending some bonding time with their kid.
  
• Abilities: Zeus possesses lightning bolts, which he can hurl at whoever he so wishes and cause them to get a nasty shock. He also possesses an uncanny strength, though not the kind of strength that could lift entire mountains, mostly the kind that can lift ten cars. As a strange part of his power platter, he also possess the power to shapeshift, though only as animals and not humans.

Name: Anubis

Also Known As: Hermanubis(During a period fused with Hermes), Anapa, Ienpw, and probably more.

Domain(s): Protector of the Dead, Mummification.

Gender: Male

Appearance: Human form and "God" form.

Personality: Anubis is a relatively empathic god, a trait that is rather useful when escorting the dead to the underworld. He is a soft spoken person, preferring to think before he speaks, especially in the volatile environment of the gods. He does have his share of negative attributes, however, such as his taste for unpreserved human corpses.

Abilities: Anubis can shapeshift, with his true form being an energy being of some sort, although he tends to stick with jackal or human forms. He also has the average divine attributes, and is an extremely efficient wielder of the flail. He is also the inventor of embalming, and can travel between the mortal world and the underworld at will.
