Urban Fantasy is pretty much exactly what it says on the tin. It's a modern day fantasy RP taking place in the fictional Japanese city of Shukufuku. There's not much notes in this thread, but there is a lot of setting notes in the information thread. Characters: Characters may be human, angel, yokai, or anything else that I feel fits and is worthy of acceptance. Character Skeletons: Bios: Name: Age: Gender: Race: Appearance: Personality: Abilities: Brief History: My Characters: Name: Amitiel Age: Likely very, very old, but has the physical form of child of twelve or so. Gender: Female Race: Angel Appearance: Thanks to Grey Star for the picture. Personality: Amitiel is rather playful. She enjoys meeting new people and going to new places. It just so happens that these new places are sometimes nightclubs and the new people are sometimes drunk. Granted, not always, but Amitiel likes to go to somewhat... seedy locations. She even flirts, though she never meets any level of success on account of her youthful appearance. Even when she insists that she has the body of a twenty-year-old. When she's not being cheerfully playful, Amitiel has an extremely short temper and a penchant to jump to violence to solve her problems. She also likes fire. A lot. Waaaay too much. Fighting and fire are things that Amitiel likes. Abilities: Amitiel can cause her wings to appear or vanish at will, along with her halo. She can fly through use of her wings. Amitiel possesses an unlimited number of feather-shaped knives, that she can spawn seemingly from thin air. - Miraculous Existence-Heaven's Typewriter: The Thompson's Machine Gun that Amitiel wields is in fact a weak, Artificial Miraculous Existence. It runs off of lethal potential(specifically that of the bullets loaded into it, though it can run off of anything), allowing it to create a miracle. This miracle is converting anything loaded into it into holy energies. These energies are highly dangerous, especially to the supernatural, and even moreso to demonic entities. When in use, golden wings of energy sprout from the right and left side.
Brief History: Amitiel's life was fairly normal. She was created as angels usually are, and immediately posed some issues as to how bored she was with heaven. This boredom eventually reached critical mass, when she attempted to leave heaven. At the time, the oppressive archangel Gabriel was preventing angels from departing from heaven. He attempted to prevent her escape, and nearly killed her, until she lit him on fire. While Gabriel was not killed, he was forced to flee and regenerate on the Throne of God. Angels were allowed to leave in his absence, Amitiel among them. She has been on earth ever since. - Name: "The Happy and Carefree Witch who isn't Scared of Anyone!" Age: Well, she looks about ten, maybe. Looks aren't everything. Gender: Female Race: Apparently Human Appearance: "Hai!"Personality: The Carefree Witch is, as her long title may indicate, very happy and carefree. She flits about from place to place, interested only in interacting with people she thinks would be fun. She often makes remarks based on what she thinks will get a funny reaction, and enjoys flaunting her powers to other magicians. She will not hesitate to use her powers to tease others. However, she does not seek to harm others, and will stay her hand to avoid injuring people. She is capable of becoming very serious, but it takes a lot for her to do so. Abilities: The Carefree Witch has a great deal of powers. She can cast illusions, fly, 'shapeshift'(it takes a long time and special ingredients to change her form, and she doesn't like doing it, but she's capable of it), heal herself and others, and has elemental control over electricity. She also has weaker control over air, fire, water, and earth, though she mostly uses her control over electricity. - Technique: Railgun: Years of honing her control over electricity have allowed the Carefree Witch some control of electromagnetism. Using this, she can electromagnetically accelerate metal projectiles. Large ones are used in a spell known as "Technique: Railgun", where the Carefree Witch accelerates a projectile at incredible speeds to hit her target.
Brief History: The Carefree Witch was a powerful magician from history. She still remains powerful, but things have changed since then to modern times. She currently resides in Japan, traveling about to meet others. - Name: Fujimura Hisako(Real name: Taketori Kaguya-hime) Age: About sixteen physically, much, much older than that in actuality Gender: Female Race: Lunarian/Hourai Immortal Appearance: "Why, hello there."Personality: Hisako has a brief air of refinement, which quickly shatters when you speak to her further. She is, in reality, rather lazy at times and prone to skittishness. At the same time, she is very sweet-natured and friendly to those who do not cause her to become nervous, and will often talk for hours in hopes that anyone present will be willing to listen. If she believes that her cause is worth it, she will cease to be lazy and will devote most of her energy and enthusiasm towards it. Hisako is afraid of men, and will avoid them when possible. Abilities: Hisako is completely and totally immortal. Killing her will simply result in revival only a few moments later. However, she can still feel pain and become tired of repeated deaths. She can also craft various potions, and magical items, having created the Hourai Elixer. While many of the treasures that she has long since retrieved from the five impossible tasks have been hidden away, Hisako retains the Tsubame no Koyasugai Kara. - Miraculous Existence-Tsubame no Koyasugai Kara: As a Natural Miraculous Existence, Tsubame no Koyasugai Kara(A cowrie shell hatched from a swallow's egg) can create a miracle itself. However, it may only be used once every five hundred years. Said miracle unlocks a world within Hisako's memory, creating a landscape of the moon. Here, but only here, she may alter reality as she sees fit.
Brief History: Hisako was born thousands and thousands of years ago, on the moon. Named Kaguya by her royal parents(The Emperor and Empress of the Moon), she lived on the moon for the first six years of her life. However, a magical accident resulted in a sudden appearance on earth. Alone, afraid, and in unfamiliar surroundings, a young Kaguya found herself taken in by a kindly old man and his wife. As she grew, she took their family name, Taketori. However, soon after entering her teens, word of her untold beauty spread across Japan. She soon became known as a princess of beauty, a title she naturally took to due to her royal nature. However, the praise took a turn for the worst when suitors approached her in an attempt to marry her. Kaguya, reluctant and frightened of marriage, devised the five impossible tasks(collecting the stone begging bowl of India's Buddha, the Jeweled Branch from the Island of Hourai, the robe of the fire rat from China, a colored gem from the neck of a dragon, and a Cowrie Shell hatched from the egg of a swallow) in order to dissuade them. Kaguya reasoned that no one would attempt such things. However, the suitors did, leading to injury and death. Regretful of the death of one of her suitors, Kaguya vowed that she would one day collect the items herself in order to prevent any deaths that could result from futilely searching for them. She did not, however, expect that the Emperor of Japan would attempt to woo her. Still frightened of both men, and marriage, she managed to dissuade him by claiming that her unearthly roots prevented her from marrying. Not long afterwords, the Lunarians finally discovered where she was, and attempted to retrieve her so that she could take her place as the Moon Princess. Kaguya, realizing that they would surely remove her memories and compassion for the people of earth, drank the Hourai Elixer of immortality and faked her death by cutting her own throat. The emissaries from the moon found her, and left in mourning, leaving the task of burying her to her adoptive parents. Soon after, Kaguya revived and revealed that she was alive. The Hourai elixer freezing her age at sixteen and giving her complete immortality, she has lived for thousands of years and changed her name many times to avoid suspicion. During this time, she collected the items that the five impossible requests had requested and hid them away in her own home. She still retains the Cowrie Shell. Kaguya currently lives under the identity of Fujimura Hisako.

Switching Amitiel to an important NPC and playing this girl instead: Name: Victoria Valentine Age: 19, though she doesn't entirely look it. Gender: Female Race: Human Appearance: "Ah, hello there. It's a pleasure to meet you at last."Personality: Victoria is a pleasant and polite to just about everyone around her. Her first reaction upon meeting almost anyone is a small smile and sweeping off her hat, giving a polite curtsy. In addition, she is quite friendly, and willing to talk to just about anyone about anything... until she gets into a fight. Victoria's fighting style can best be described as brutal. While she is physically weak, she has no qualms about bathing her foe in flames and burning them to death. She has no problem with killing, though she dislikes killing people who are not magical and will not kill innocent people of any kind under any circumstances. Anyone who has given her enough reason, on the other hand, is likely to face immolation. She also enjoys carrying several knives on her person. In spite of her brutal fighting style, Victoria adores seeing people in love, and believes love to be wonderful and beautiful. In fact, it could be said she loves love itself. Abilities: Victoria is practiced in hermetic magic, trained by a London Magician's Circle. She has a large mana reservoir, allowing her to easily preform a variety of spells. Her specialty is fire magic, though she has weak barrier spells as well. On top of this, she carries several knives on her person in case she is forced to use them. However, her chief weapon is her cane. - Inferno Record: The magical cane used by Victoria, Inferno Record 'records' all fire it is exposed to. It stores this fire inside itself, and then releases it when commanded to do so. It can be released in streams or bursts of flame, or even small explosions. In addition, the bottom end is sharpened to a point, allowing it to be a stabbing weapon.
Brief History: Victoria was practically raised by a Magician's Circle in London. From an early age, she displayed unique skill with fire magic, and was trained in depth to be able to use her magical potential to the fullest. Victoria grew up treating them as family. Now an accomplished magician, she is used to investigate various magical incidents that may concern the Magician's Circle. She has been sent to Japan to investigate rumors of, remarkably, angelic activity, on top of rumors of several magical incidents.

- Name: Shishigami Ran.
- Age: 20
- Gender: Female
- Race: Human
- Appearance: NSFW. Not pornographic but... still. It's the result of overusing her powers. Normal clothing is this.
- Personality: Ran is excitable, hyper, and generally seems to either not know about the repercussions about some of the stuff she does or not CARE. This isn't true, really; she'll only fight if people start it first or are obviously oppressing another. It's also apparent in the way that, despite using it often enough to be inured to side effects of her ability, she'll try and refrain from making others uncomfortable. Or getting arrested for public obscenity.
Ran fancies herself as a magical girl, and when she has nothing else to be doing tends to run off to be vigilante. Given that she failed university entrance exams by falling asleep halfway through the test and giving a few answers that were true but only if you knew magic, this happens a lot.
- Abilities: Mana Conversion: Clothing. Quite simply, Ran has the ability to convert bits of her clothing to magical attacks, since she doesn't really have enough mana of her own to draw on or any skill with controlling external mana. The spells, and their accompanying clothing loss, are:
- Kaleidoscope Barrage--Dress: Ran's most used spell, it slowly burns her dress away but allows her to shoot small, fast magical bullets, rapid fire if she wants. There's an option for lethal or nonlethal, and the lethal ones take neat hemispherical chunks out of flesh rather than just deadening all nerves where they hit for upwards of an hour.
- Shishigami Secret Technique--Shoes & Socks: Burns away the clothing specified instantly to give her a ludicrous speed boost. Good for either her final technique... or running away before she gets her ass handed to her.
- Scintillating Barrier--Gloves: One glove, creates a lightning barrier that rejects metal outright, shooting it out like a bullet, and fries people. Other stuff passes right through.
- Divine Burst--Underwear: Ran charges her hand with magical energy, creating a fist with the specific ability to shatter barriers and the same effects as the above bullets, only the 'lethal' version tends to pretty much leave a foot-across hole in people's chests.
- ?--Hat: She can't work out what to actually do with it; she thinks it's going to be a laser, but...
- Brief History: Ran didn't have the most interesting childhood, though being the very... highly-specialised child of two magic users gave her an interesting outlook on things. She watched far too much magical girl stuff, though, and made the bad mistake of getting in a fist fight with some unfortunate mugger the night before entrance exams, with the expected result.

- Name: Aizawa Fumie
- Age: ~250
- Gender: Female
- Race: Human
- Appearance: She doesn't normally tie it up outside of work.
- Personality: Fumie is cheerful and surprisingly fine with hanging around working in a restaurant for the fun of it. She hates to see people upset or in pain and, if she can work out how to do it, helps with any physical ailments she can. It's hard to trust her to tell the truth, though: she seems to find harmless lies for amusing. Like claiming that the Elixir is just orangeade.
- Abilities:
- Master Alchemist: Having practised for years, Fumie reached the pinnacle of alchemy, the first--and probably only--person to have resolutely followed the true art to the Philosopher's Stone. It's an extremely time-consuming type of magic, and strongly resembles chemistry for the most part. If she's appropriately equipped, she can skip most of the steps and simply redirect the energy from attacks... but mostly she uses the ability to transmute things from one state to another to make awesome toys.
- Philosopher's Stone: A. An Artificial Miraculous Existence, it looks like a heart-sized teardrop ruby. This is extremely useful, as it's used like a heart. As a result, the Elixir of Life flows through Fumie's veins rather than blood and she possesses the stone's basic ability to both create it from her hand and transmute lesser metals into gold, and--after a bit of work when currency changed around--gold into platinum for the variety.
Though not invulnerable, it's extremely durable.
- Elixir of Life: B++. A brilliant, bubbling orange liquid, the Elixir is easiest seen if you injure Fumie. It can heal any injury, no matter how severe, so long as the person in question hasn't actually died yet (meaning you have to destroy the stone to kill her--the time taken to rip it out would be enough time for it to heal the wound made to try and get it out around your hand--would you want ribs thrust through your wrist?) and regular doses effectively grant immortality.
- Brief History: A few centuries ago, Fumie's parents passed away, leaving the young teen a bunch of notes and enough alchemical apparatus to stock a dozen labs. Not much to make a living with, but she knew how to find food in the forests, and when she wasn't doing that worked through the notes and, gradually, made a list of mistakes: some of the stuff her parents had written just plain didn't work.
And then she accidentally made the stone one day, when she'd been trying to work out how to use what she knew to heal a wolf that had come past. The orange stuff it produced was extremely good at healing... and she got the bright idea to work it into her chest. It took two magical circles, about a mile of chalk drawings, and a week of good weather, but she successfully swapped her heart with the rock.
Common sense would be sorely aggrieved to learn that it had, in fact, worked.
After that, Fumie worked on selling off the excess equipment and selling the elixir as a common medicine. This was before modern medical techniques, so naturally no-one had any reason to reject it. She even went to China for a bit and looked at the West before returning to Japan just after World War II. At that point, she chose to set up a restaurant, and is currently claiming to be her own granddaughter.
Her restaurant gets quite a lot of business. It DOES have such delicious, rejuvenating drinks...

Name: Shinra Banshou Age: 15 Gender:Male Race: Human Appearance: "So...umm...Kiai!~ I guess?" Personality: Shinra is a huge fan of fighting games, RPGs, anime and manga to the point where it tends to affect his worldview and behavior. He sees himself as the protagonist of his own story and acts as such, much to the exasperation of the other members of the Banshou Family and Furinkazan-Ryu. Despite this..eccentric philosophy he actually works very hard to be the best possible heir to the Furinkazan-ryu and rather than being an idiot, actually has a fair amount of knowledge about magic and the supernatural even though it distracts him from academics. While he does view himself as the main character, he considers everyone in his life to have a highly important role to play and cares about all of them, trying his best to ensure that they're part of the happiest story possible. Abilities: Shinra is one of the direct heirs to the Furinkazan-Ryu, a school of martial arts created to combat the supernatural by channeling mana through the user's movements and stances and refining them through emotion. The Furinkazan-Ryu is actually composed of four distinct styles, each with different strengths and weaknesses and each linked to and enhanced by an emotion. They are: - Fast As The Wind-gives the user incredible speed, agility and lightness of body -even enough to generate razor winds and drift on air currents and the like- though it has the least physical durability of all the forms. It is enhanced by feelings of joy and happiness.
- Silent As The Forest-suppresses the user's presence. It is a form specialized for trickery, stealth and ambushes and is the source of some of the myths about the magical powers of ninja. Few of this form's techniques are suited to direct confrontations however It is enhanced by focus and tranquility.
- Fierce As The Fire-provides a massive boost to physical attacks and overall destructive ability, utilizing explosive strikes as well as burning flames. It is the most purely offensive of the four styles with very few defensive techniques. It is enhanced by anger and rage.
- Indestructible As The Mountain-Generates powerful magical barriers, wards and defenses around the user and occasionally around others. It is a style generally used for defensive purposes with few techniques intended for attacking. It is enhanced by feelings of confidence or protectiveness.
Brief History: Shinra was born into the extensive and ancient Banshou Clan, one of the families that have made it their duty to secretly protect humankind from supernatural threats for centuries using a mixture of magic and martial arts. He was trained from a young age as one of the potential successors to his grandfather, the slowly diminishing but still formidable head of the family. However talented he is, as he's currently just entering high school and is known to be somewhat...eccentric, his standing in the clan and position in his family are somewhat uncertain and as such he is not currently on active duty.

- Name: Penelope "Penny" Drake
- Age: 16
- Gender: Female
- Race: Human
- Appearance: Rather average looking, with shoulder length, straight brown hair and brown eyes. She's maybe a little taller than average, but thin, and not possessing much of a figure. She wears a large pair of glasses, and is most often dressed in her school uniform, a brown sweater and skirt. Portrait by GS!
- Personality: A wide-eyed idealist and all around idiot hero. Possesses a strong sense of justice and can't bare to see people being oppressed for any reason. She's rather single-minded about it, though, and won't even think twice about the consequences of what she does, blindly rushing head-on into danger if she thinks it's for a good cause. Something of a nerd; she's an especially large fan of comics and manga. She's generally cheerful, and loves chatting with anyone she comes across about completely inconsequential things such as the weather, how pretty the flowers look, what she had for lunch, etc., to the point that she can come off as somewhat annoying to others at times.
- Abilities: Weilds the Miraculous Existence Caliburn, the Sword in the Stone, a magic sword with the words "Whosoever pulleth out this sword of this stone is rightwise king born of England" engraved on the hilt in fairy runes (since Penny can't read fairy runes, however, she has no idea that Caliburn is anything other than a sword that grants her superpowers). It is indestructable as long as her faith and honour remains intact, and can cut through almost anything. Whilst she holds it in her hands, Penny is imbued with the sword's power and gains a slight boost to her strength, speed, agility and resilience, taking her to the upper reaches of human ability in all these areas. She also becomes an almost unmatched swordswoman, although this only applies if she's actually using Caliburn (she seems to fumble a lot with any other sword). Caliburn is bound to Penny, and she can summon and dismiss it at any time. Whilst she's not exactly smart, or atheletic, or popular... Um... At least she has spirit? Penny actually has surprisingly good coordination even if her other physical attributes are unimpressive before she draws Caliburn. She can be rather creative at times, being a somewhat talented artist, as well as having a knack for sewing which she uses to make stuffed toys. She's bilingual, and can speak fluently in both English and Japanese.
- Brief History: Originally hailing from England, Penny's family moved to Shukufuku whilst she was young after her parents were offered a job transfer there. Most of her history is actually rather boring and inconsequential, as she used to simply just an average, everyday, ordinary schoolgirl, but recently she's been having some strange dreams of a past life... After one particularly vivid dream involving her pulling a shining sword from a stone, she awoke to find the very same sword next to her. However, she does not realise the significance of this; all she cares about is she now has a magical dream sword that grants her superpowers, which she has decided is a pretty neat thing. Unbeknownst to her, she is actually the reincarnation of Arthur Pendragon, the Once and Future King, a legacy that she will have to try her hardest to live up to.

- Name: Kurosawa Sayuri
- Age: She looks around 18.
- Gender: Female
- Race: Human/Werewolf
- Appearance: "Wolf ears? N-no, they're...um...cosplay! Yeah..."
- Personality: Most of the time, Sayuri seems to be a bit on the shy side. Although she tends to perk up considerably when talking about anime or manga. Surprisingly, when it comes to combat, her personality changes completely, becoming serious and confident. If the seal on her curse were to be broken, she'd begin acting somewhat perverted with a tendency to take far too much enjoyment from her enemies' pain.
- Abilities: Slightly stronger, faster and tougher than a normal human with minor regeneration and an impressive level of skill with her naginata. If she, for whatever reason, needs to undo the magic supressing her curse, her strength, speed, endurance and regeneration would all improve. While she isn't supressing the curse, she gains wolf ears and a tail, regardless of the time of day or phase of the moon, a side effect of unleashing the full thing after holding it back for so long. Technically, she knows some onmyodo, but either her mana is too focused on keeping her curse sealed or she's unsealed her curse and isn't exactly in the right state of mind to use it.
- Brief History: Sayuri was born, quite some time ago, into the Kurosawa clan, a family that made it their business to protect others from assorted supernatural threats. She trained since childhood in naginata use and onmyodo. By the age of 15, she was ready to go to work, slaying dangerous yokai and mages alike and tending to the family's shrine.
One day, something went wrong. It was a simple enough mission, a western mage was causing trouble and needed to be dealt with. Sayuri went in alone and things seemed fairly routine. However, as she went to deliver the final blow, the sorceror unleashed a powerful curse.
While it didn't seem to do anything at first (certainly nothing to stop the incoming polearm) after that day, any time the silver haired miko saw the full moon, she transformed into a monstrous wolf. After wounding her father during one such rampage, the girl read up on some sealing ceremonies and a short time later had devised a way to prevent further bloodshed. Since then, she has been living as a humble miko, only fighting when absolutely necessary.

Hmm... interest. What are the rules on Eldritch Abominations? I was thinking of tweaking and bringing in a character from one of GS's (read, technically my own) stillborn RPs - he's basically an amnesiac guy with both a powerful angel and an Totally Original!Abomination locked inside him. I could change it, as long as it's within the rules...

Eldritch Abominations are killed by the array of angelic weaponry angels have at their disposal immediately upon entering reality. That's a large part of the purpose of angels, given that eldritch abominations cause serious problems if they get to stay in reality for too long.
As for sealing either into someone, Angels are very much physical and I have no idea how you'd manage that. The same for abominations except even more difficult since they get destroyed as soon as they begin to enter reality.

Name: Shujiko Ishi
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Appearance: Shujiko has shoulder length, blonde hair with dark brown streaks, with hazel eyes. She wears a simple, button-down green shirt with a blue skirt that reaches just above her knees. Additionally, she wears plain white shorts underneath the skirt, with thigh-high black socks and shoes. Finally, she wears a totally normal magatama wrapped around her left wrist most of the time.
Personality: Cheerful and brimming with determination and confidence, Shujiko is hard to put down. Always willing to push her limits, she tends to turn things into a contest between her and others. ...She's also completely in denial about falling for that one pretty girl, and totally proves it by being colder than usual. She's clearly not tsundere, because she clearly has no romantic feelings for a girl when it's obviously boys she likes.
Abilities: -Almost impossible to dissuade her from a task she sets out to complete, and failure only motivates her further. -Fairly athletic. Nothing too special, but she's better than the average person, at least.
Brief History: Nothing too insane or zany has really happened in Shujiko's life. The most notable event being the two-year-long denial she's been in concerning her feelings over that girl.
------------------------
Name: Cyndy Ryuhime
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Race: Half-dragon
Appearance: Cyndy has bright yellow eyes, hidden behind blue contacts, and bright, flame-like hair that reaches her lower back, and usually adorned with a black cap. She tends to wear primarily red and yellow, incredibly bulky clothing. She's rather diminutive for her age. Between her shoulder blades, scarlet scales have formed, soon to grow over her shoulders and back. As a dragon-born, she will eventually 'grow' into a proper dragon-human hybrid, and this is essentially the beginning. She has yet to develop wings or a tail, thankfully enough for her.
Personality: Despite obviously hiding her body away under all that clothing, Cyndy is surprisingly confident and even boastful at times. She's also a little bit dense, but she at least has the sense to make sure no one knows what she is - especially since she doesn't fully understand it herself. Only that, for her, it's natural. If Cyndy happens to suspect anyone is suspicious of her true nature, though, she ends up becoming a bit of a paranoid wreck, unable to figure out a course of action and probably make things worse for herself. Also hates cats, for some reason.
Abilities: -Is highly resistant to heat. Seeing as her body is still mostly human, though, most temperature's are still dangerous. -Her strength is also slightly higher than someone her size and age should be, but it's almost negligible, really. Mostly due to her lack of any body-building than 'human weakness', though.
Brief History: Cyndy isn't exactly too sure of her heritage. Only that she's part dragon. She'd rather not learn, fearing the implications, to be honest. While she grew up in a humble orphanage, the only unusual feature she had were the yellow eyes. Of course, she was picked on for it, hence the coloured contacts. She lived what could be considered a normal, if a teensy bit lonely, life, and it's only after she moved into a small apartment for herself that her 'affliction' became apparent.

- Name: Honoria Quinctilia. Though it's not the proper form of her name, she doesn't see the point in maintaining that long after anyone else alive could casually work out how the hell it's structured.
- Age: 2,700.
- Gender: Female
- Race: Vampire. Honoria is strongly insistent that she's the last true vampire. Whilst this might explain her peerless longevity and healing ability, it also seems to dump a load of the weaknesses on her: compulsion to count things if her attention is drawn to them (as a result and a lot of practice, she'd make a brilliant accountant); can't cross flowing water under her own power; bursts into flame after too long in direct sunlight; burned by silver (she's jealous of werewolves for ONLY having to deal with this); and she can only enter a house if invited. Garlic has no effect beyond making her sneeze. She also has no reflection.
On the plus side, merely staking her is about as effective as staking water and she has the nice ability to turn into blood and reform, clothes and all. Holy symbols and items are worthless--though she's quiet on whether by experience or just natural immunity. If you REALLY want her dead, decapitate her in sunlight, stake her with silver, and toss her into someone's greenhouse without permission.
- Appearance: "May the Lord have mercy on your soul, for I have none."
- Personality: Honoria does her best to be a proper nun... but with about one and a half millennia of debauchery under her belt beforehand, she's bad at it. She has the piety bit down fine, in her own subdued way, but can't really resist temptation, and is really bad at this 'thou shalt not kill' thing. She's probably killed more targets by sating her own desires than stabbing them.
- Abilities:
- Enhanced Speed and Strength: Nothing particularly special, more recent vampires are fully capable of beating her in this department in many cases. Not that she's particularly bothered, she can do things that they (and other stuff) can't. This is nothing.
- Bloody Murder: A. The combination of her most notable vampire ability and most notable meal, Honoria is capable of reforming her body into blood, as well as multiplying it up to kaijiu sized if something acquires it. Generally, she just creates two swords to slice things up with than using it directly, though the ability to turn yourself into a pool that sprouts spears IS handy. Also fun to pretend she's Dracula.
The reason for not abusing it like that is simple: any blood touching it gets drawn back into her body when she reforms. Whilst this does grant the ability to drain living things dry by shoving her arm through them, it's rather... addictive on a large scale. Picture a small dark age hamlet. Consider how long it would last. She's trying to stay away from that stuff. The 'Holy' descriptor is a result of draining a powerful angel as they were dying. The result makes her hilariously effective against Eldritch Abominations (and, to her amusement, other vampires), as they tend to explode when she stabs them.
[/color] [/li][li]Hypnotism: Due to an inability to turn it off, she wears an eyepatch. You do not want to make eye contact with Honoria if it can be at all avoided. [/li][li]Vampire Creation: Partial draining, gift of her own blood. Standard degeneration in ability magnitude applies.[/li][/ul][/li][li]Brief History: One of the original vampires, Honoria was also blessed with being a Roman Patrician, all the way back in the kingdom before the Republic. This may have partially explained her survival when others were killed off--it didn't really manifest until adulthood, by which point she was well placed, socially. Honoria kept a low profile, hypnotising her relatives into ignoring her ever-increasing age and bleaching hair. This lasted until about halfway through the Republic's lifetime, where she got bored with the life she'd pigeonholed herself into, choosing just to visit the most influential branch of the family occasionally and generally screwing around. Degenerate? Certainly, but what else did she have to do? It was in this period that she made pretty much all the vampires she would ever create. What actually brought it to an end was the increasingly fractious empire and the fighting. So, what did the old, powerful vampire do? Say 'fuck you' and go exploring, not coming back until everything had settled down... and the Western empire was dead. Good riddance, really, it had just gotten worse and worse... The blonde found it harder and harder to sink back into her previous patterns, finding more of her time was spent walking around and that her thirst just... kept... growing. The others of her kind, few as they were, also had this problem. She, however, was the only one to find a solution: a dying angel tasked with killing an invader to reality. Not really having much of a clue what it was, she viewed him as an easy meal and tucked in. Whilst Honoria generally got glimpses of someone's life as she ate, it was completely incoherent... unlike this occasion. With something so old and powerful, the memories stuck more, and whilst her knowledge of the angels and what they did was rather incomplete, it was enough to fill her in on eldritch abominations and what he'd been doing when he died. So she went and killed it. It seemed the angel blood was enough to stabilise her thirst, as Honoria's peers continued to degenerate--eventually getting themselves killed off by powerful entities annoyed by their mass destruction of population--whilst hers remained somewhat manageable. Now, knowing angels existed, what did she do? Turn to religion? Nope; finish exploring the northern reaches of the former empire that she'd not gone to before. She really didn't see what they saw in those islands, there was just some guy with a nice sword and... well, not much else. Then, finally, she took an interest in religion, briefly becoming a proper nun... before realising that wouldn't work. So, instead, she started flitting from order to order, until she found one that suited her relatively well: focused on protecting people more than endless daily prayer. She's been tenuously connected with them ever since; the new leaders have generally learned quickly that controlling an ancient vampire when there's something else occupying her attention is impossible. Reports of an angel in Japan have drawn her here for the first time since she originally visited... back in the Kofun period.[/li][/ul]

Name: Pandora. Not her actual name, but she likes it. Age: No older than 600. Gender: Female. Race: Kitsune Appearance: Ears and tails tend to be hidden in public, of course.Personality: Constantly grinning and ever polite, Pandora will rip you off with a cheerful smile and a wave. A merchant who specialises in 'magic artefacts', she will sell these fake items at 'fair' prices, then move on before her illusory magic wears off and reveals the artefact as a mundane, broken item that most definitely doesn't grant luck or boost physical capabilities. Is easily swayed by money or flattery, however. Abilities: Illusion Magic. Is able to make items appear as something else, specifically. Lasts a few days without Pandora to renew the magic, however. Minor Shapeshifting. She can alter her appearance enough to hide her fox features. Foxfire. It's fire. Though Pandora isn't really combat-adept, so it's a fairly weak spell. Brief History: Just your average, everyday kitsune (well... as average and everyday as a kitsune could possibly be). After seeing a 'wondrous' Miraculous Existence in action at some point in her life, decided to make a living selling similar items, claiming that she simply tricks humans into achieving tasks they could already do by 'encouraging' them. May or may not be completely true.
