Given how extremely unlikely it is, trying to organize them in a military fashion at all is far more risky then just getting them to the safest location in the town.

It's safer for the civilians if they're out of the way.
That way, if some of the bad guys manage to get to the village(which is more plausible then anyone getting killed), the civilians won't be placed in immediate danger, giving time for some of the defenders to take care of the bad guys who got by.

It's still putting the civilians in danger.

Being outside where you can get shot is safer than being where you can't?

Putting them inside somewhere safe is better, keeping them completely out of danger is an option we have and it's certainly a good one.

Yes. Putting the civilians out of danger, behind lines of people who can stand up to machinegun fire without so much as wincing is much less dangerous than giving untrained civilians guns and putting them in plain sight.

I have admittedly been spoiled by RPOL of late (I'd kill to be able to click a character's name and see what the player wrote about them right now). But my first BBoard games were just random Bboards so hopefully I still got it. You haven't lived until you are the only Character with an arm cannon in a Megaman X Game. Alas, I haven't nailed down the personality of that very first character ever since.
Really, I think it's more my "usually once or twice a day on average in the dead of night" post rate and only PASSING familiarity with a lot of the stuff being referenced that will be the main hurdle, and the latter can be dealt with by liberal application of "What the flying baby new year is going on here?" in character.
Fortunately, I did watch all of Gurren Lagann considering that seems the driving force of the multiverse. I'd probably end up involved with Getter Rays instead though, Spiral Energy's crazy grandpa.
I'm in no rush, I can wait until there is a proper moment or place where a Complete Newb to being a Lantern and involved in all this insanity to turn up to start posting in the thread proper. Things seem to be in "planning for next big thing" stages, so at least I won't be interrupting too much if I wander in. Though some advice or guidelines for a proper for this game entrance would be appreciated.
I have also learned that Dr. Swordopolis is the best sword name ever. That post reading binge has become a blur, but this important lesson stands out. That and teaching swear words to Cream is just wrong, shame on you. Next thing you know she'll be smoking candy cigarettes and getting Snorks tattoos.
EDIT: Unless Season two is like, a month or more away I'm willing to wait for that if need be.

Season Two's a month or two away.
Also, Brawl Man didn't have a beam weapon. He... beat things up. With his Mettool sidekick.

Season Two's a month or two away. Also, Brawl Man didn't have a beam weapon. He... beat things up. With his Mettool sidekick. Wait... Wait. wait wait... You were ALSO in Megaman Chronicles? Yet another game we were in together without realizing it at the time. This is getting ridiculous, but an awesome kind of ridiculous. Though I was talking about my very first way back in like, the late 90's early 2000s BBoard RP in my last comment. Of which the name of is lost to the sands of time and the depths of my brain... Yeah, I was Joe Darkthorne there too... But the important thing was it was the first, protocypical Joe Darkthorne with 90% less sarcasm than you are used to seeing, and that void filled with Hot Blood and Oh hey who likes explosives?! (Based upon the greatest of all Megaman style entities, Sniper Joe!) Thanks for the heads up about the wait time for next season. Unless someone has better ideas (or reminders of why I shouldn't start posting I may have overlooked), I'll wander on in generic "okay, where the *censored* am I" style tomorrow afternoon/evening. EDIT: hmm, clock... Okay, by "tomorrow" I mean "Saturday."

If you give me the cliff notes of what I need to know to run with that, I'm good for it (I haven't legit watched any power rangers since Zed was the main villain. But I'm mostly caught up with Linkara's History Of The Power Rangers). I'm not really attached to the Lantern Ring thing, main reason for joining was oh hey, YOU'RE here.

It'd be a Season Two thing unless you want to play the Lantern and the Sniper Joe this season.
Murray (Myrrh-EX), serial number D0-M0, is going hunting for a team of Power Rangers made of robots and cyborgs. So... Yeah, Original!Joe would work.

I figure I'd stick with one Alt for what's left of this season. Psyga was kind enough to approve me for Season 1 in the first place as it is. However, you have given me something to look forward to when season Two rolls around. I'm gonna need to go find my riot shield and hand grenades! (And looted Forte/Bass buster. I ain't got time to charge shot!) Fun Fact: Original!Joe was basically the only one in the entire cast to NOT instantly know what a Super Saiyan was when the local Saiyan (game got... progressively less MMX over time) went Blonde. EDIT: vvv Yeah... Joe's eventual high Rank in that game was gained not through firepower, but through "so many players come and go and I've been here forever, Whoo! Superior Officer by default!"

It wouldn't work out better to give them defences. It's only better to give them defences if anyone can get inside the houses, which is simple to avoid with the firepower we have.

Setting a fire takes time that isn't really available in a battle. >.>
It's a good thing your plans have been overruled. XD

@lasordude You asked for it :V Actually, STTGL is just in the background. You would be way better informed for stuff actually in if you've watched, say, last 12 years of Kamen Riders :V It's less "planning the big thing" and more "planning the utter annihilation of wild west level military at the hands of a dozen One Man Armies" @gcr We're not in medieval times with arrows on fire and straw covered roofs. Also, guess what Weather Memory does. Especially with addition of Ocean.

I'd use China because, if you have a billion people, you can use human wave tactics all you like. This isn't even starting on how much morale would fall in the rest of the world once you cut off exports.

And depending on what otherword tech stuff you supply, you can get each unit of that quantity into quality as well.

Yeah, that stereotype the Americans and only the Americans have about the French being cowards who surrender at the first possible opportunity? Reeeaaally misplaced. >.>
