For the great Demon King has awakened from his slumber- his reemergence bringing forth waves of monsters and catastrophes from the depths of the abyss. Will not the homeless misfits of society known as adventurers go forth and back stab this menace for the sake of mankind and a chance at wealth and fortune?!

And so the proclamation was issued to all four corners of the lands. Those not suited to anything but violence and thievery, the vagrants of society who can't do anything but fight have been put to good use. Marching steadily forward to the Dark Lands, a tale of adventure begins as the unemployed minority finally become useful in this peaceful kingdom of Haelstrom.
Anyways, like the title suggests, this game is going to involve a lot of genre-savviness and comedy, a delightful (maybe) romp through the tropes that makes up rpg's. Along the way, people are encouraged to have fun and poke fun at the medium in any way they can think of.
