April once again sized up, wincing as she seated herself on the seat. Comfortable as it was, Moe had apparently been rather... rough during those five days. It was all such a blur... and she was going to try and eat as quickly as possible to make up for it. Her appetite helped. The fact that she kept knocking food around rather than successfully picking it up? Not so much. For the first time, she wished that the worms had gotten the other arm, at least that would have lead to an easier adaptation...

Anno picked up the pace after hearing the gossip. She broke into a sprint, aided by the speed of a Servant. She ran straight for the kitchen, and skidded to a halt when she reached the room. There was the strong smell of teriyaki, and various other foods...
"April?! Moe?!"

"Aw, was I too rough on you~?" The catgirl smirked at April's wincing. "Sorry~ I can't help it~ Your butt is just so cute I can't help myself, eheheheh~"
Meowrin was about to tuck into her meal when she noticed the difficulties April was having. Sure, she should probably be trying to adapt and get used to... Her new condition, but... She couldn't help it. Pretty soon, April would find a fork load of food in front of her mouth. A fork, of course, because not only was it easier to feed someone with, but... Even after all these years Meowrin still couldn't use chopsticks.
"Hey, open wide," she said, forcing a smile on herself. "You don't have to push yourself just yet, okay? Oh, um..." Ah, there's a familiar voice... "Anno? Is that you?" She didn't turn around, too busy trying to feed April. "Hey... Um... So I guess you heard, huh?"

"Mmph?" April questioned, blinking and chewing on the food in her mouth. Hey, she was eating slowly, not failing to eat entirely! Gah, she didn't want to be treated like a child, this was just mean... still, Anno appeared to be around, so this was not the time to object and complain. Better to just chew, swallow, and...
"Ah... as you can see, I'm now relatively 'armless."

Anno took a step forward, swallowing hard. Well... April seemed okay, but... her arm. It was completely gone. She hadn't really been able to comfort Rain, being so scared herself, and... so far, her fear hadn't really subsided.
"A-are... y-you're... are... are... are y-you okay...?"

Wincing herself at the awful joke, Meowrin shovelled another forkfull of food into April's mouth, before getting a napkin and wiping some stray bits of rice off her face.
"She... Seems to be doing okay, all things considered," she said, finally turning to Anno. "Hey, take a seat already. I'm sure Ryuuzaki can fix something up for you if you want, too."

The grumbling emanating from April's direction eventually resolved itself into comprehensible words, once she'd finished chewing and swallowing, "Hey, what's the package you've got with you? I didn't see you as the type to bring presents, no offence, it's more that... well... you seem like you'd do that when you're calm and can't damage anything."

"O-oh, um, the prinny at the door... um... Vinegar, I think? He said to give this to you," Anno walked over and offered the package to April. So... April looked okay, it seemed, even with how she was missing an arm... that still hadn't stopped Anno's heart hammering in her chest, though.

"Hmmm, doesn't look like something a Prinny could afford, even a Prinny as good as Vinegar..." Meowrin pondered aloud as she returned to her own seat. "Wonder who sent it..."
Shrugging, she then proceeded to rapidly shovel the veritable mountain of teriyaki in front of her down her throat. Her appetite was normally pretty extreme, but since she'd barely had anything to eat for a while, well...
"More, please!" she yelled at Ryuuzaki, having cleared her plate in record time.

Carefully, April took the package--which, she noted, was rather heavy--and placed it on the table before going back to eating her food. Food first, package second, seeing if she could find something that would stop her butt from being so sore third. Hadn't there been some sort of cream around? No, wait, that had been made by the resident mad scientist, she wasn't going to touch that stuff...

Anno took several deep breaths, trying to calm herself down. April looked okay, in spite of the missed arm. So... that was good, and okay, and everything, and... maybe food would help calm her down. She was a bit hungry, after all.
"Um... I... um... Ryuuzaki-san, um... could you make something for me, too?"

"As you wish, Nyaorin-sama," Ryuuzaki began preparing more chicken. "And that shall be no problem, Anno-san." Soon enough, Meowrin was once more demolishing a plate stacked high with chicken and rice, whilst Anno had steaming bowl of ramen placed before her. "This one hopes that it meets your standards."
Of course, despite being somewhat preoccupied with eating, the Overlord couldn't help but shoot several glances at the package. She wanted to know who sent it, and what was inside... Slowly but surely, her curiosity was eating away at her until...
"...JUST OPEN THE DAMN PACKAGE ALREADY, APRIL!" she yelled suddenly. "I wanna see what's inside!"

"Fine, fine," April said, frowning and placing the package well away from anything else. Then, without warning, a level flurry of golden knives skimmed across its sides, slicing the wrappings to ribbons and revealing whatever was actually inside... whatever that was. By appearances, an easily opened box containing... more stuff.

Said stuff including a laptop computer with accessories, a full-course meal in a hammerspace tin, and a note written on stationary from a "Nether Palms Resort".
Hey there April! I heard about your arm, and while I'm sorry I can't come in person to visit (we're negotiating with a new food supplier at the resort- these Kung-Fu Mynahs drive a hard bargain), I figured I could at least do something to make your recover a little less boring. This laptop has the king of all HSDPA connections- you can access the internet from anywhere in the Multiverse, even worlds where the most advanced technology is a pointed stick. And don't worry about Rain shorting this one out, it's waterproof. I'll stop by as soon as I can with some more home-cooked food.
Wishing you a speedy recovery, Anny Starte

"Hm... I wonder how the others are doing... It's been a while." Grey pondered as she made her way to Moe's netherworld, dressed in a simple cotton tunic and belt of white fibers. "I should have visited them much earlier like a good friend would." Pausing in front of the gates, the girl debated whether or not she should knock. Shyness and guilt were eating at her, and it took all she had not to run away. "Too long..." Between adventuring, training, and managing an island turtle nation, Grey simply lost track of the years. Now, standing at the entrance to her friend's abode, she felt gripped by remorse.

Having set into quietly eating her ramen and trying to calm down, Anno was silent for a few moments as she looked over the gift that April had received. It certainly looked like a very nice laptop... but it was still hard to focus on such things with April's arm gone and everything. Anno was having an absolutely horrible time calming herself down. However, at least it was actually possible now.

"Are you just going to stand outside all day, or are you going to enter?" An ethereal voice sung out from the intercom, as Grey stood there pondering whether she should knock or not. It was rather difficult to tell whether the voice was male or female, but one thing that was very apparant was how bored the voice sounded. "State your business or leave."
"Hmmm? Oh, from Anny, huh? Cool." Meowrin gaze the laptop a cursory glance, before returning her attention to her meal. "So, um... How's Rain holding up, Anno? Last time I saw her, um... Yeah..." A few moments passed, long enough for Anno to answer, before... "GOOD NEWS, EVERYONE!" ...The door was kicked down, and a bespectacled woman in a black labcoat, her blonde hair tyed into a neat ponytail, burst into the room dramatically, pointing to the air as she stood in the middle of the kitchen. "April and the Overlord have been spotted for the first time in five days!" She exclaimed, seemingly oblivious to the fact that those two comprised half of the occupents of the kitched before she entered. "Now I'll be able to show them the fruits borne by that greatest of all trees, the tree of SCIENCE!" In her usual overdramatic way, Professor Mustard had made her entrance, and in what seemed like an instinctual reaction Meowrin had hid herself under the table.

As she usually did, April responded to the melodramatic Professor's entrance by reflexively ensnaring her legs with Enkidu to keep her on the other side of the room, and kept steadily eating as she gazed upon the laptop. Hmm... nice, she just hoped that Anny had included room for expansion and, given her most recent handicap, some measure of voice control so that she didn't make a fool of herself trying to utilise it for basic operations.

"She's-"
The moment the Professor burst in, Anno was immediately startled, throwing her hands over her head and ducking. She didn't even really look at who it was, it was just an instinctive reaction to that voice. It was strange, how she could be so calm and brave in a fight yet was startled at this...
Then again, the Professor's experiments tended to be... dangerous.

"U-um... Is Mo- I mean Meowrin in there? I'm her friend..." Grey stuttered, looking around instinctively. "I came for a visit, but if she isn't there..." Well, it was much too late to just turn around and depart after being acknowledged by the sentry. The least she could do was stick around and wait for an answer.

"Good timing, she's just been sighted for the first time in five days," The voice replied, as the gate opened, revealing its owner to be a... Boy? Girl? It was hard to tell... Whatever they were, they looked rather out of place in a Netherworld filled with demons. The androgynous figure's golden hair was tied into a single thick braid, and they wore a suit of white feathers accented with a blue tabard. Strapped to their back was a quiver and bow, and attached to their face was a look of absolute boredom. "I don't recognise you... Are you sure you are one of Lady Meowrin's friends?" The angelic figure yawned, idly adjusting their halo. "Hmmm, suppose you're here because of Lady April's accident... Vinegar's logs say someone else came earlier about that... Hauuh..."
Oh, the chains again. The Professor knew that meant April was in the room. She had no idea why she kept resorting to those; after all, she was no god, and would quite frankly be insulted to be called something that clearly did not exist. Sure, there were a few all powerful cosmic entities out in the big wide multiverse, but they all ultimately had rational explanations; supernatural deities they most certainly were not. After all, everything could be explained through SCIENCE!, even the so-called "divine". "No need to hide, fräuleins!" she said, refusing to use her indoor voice as she struggled to worm her way out of Enkidu's grasp. "I've brought enough SCIENCE! for everyo-" ...Aaand she fell flat on her face, right after finally getting a foot out of bondage. " ...I meant to do that. Ahem. Where was I? Oh right... SCIENCE! has prevailed once again!" She shot to her feet once more, her arms raised to the sky just like... Well, just like a mad scientist, really. "Fear not, April, for I have solved all your problems and more! With SCIENCE!" "...She's going to blow up the kitchen again, isn't she?" Meowrin whimpered at the others from beneath the table. "Why is it always the kitchen? I like my kitchen..."

"You know, I only have one problem as of this moment," April said, grinning and deciding that it was perfectly fine to be sardonic towards this damn nuisance as she pushed the remnants of her meal aside and flipped open the laptop, booting it with a press of the button, "And that would be your screeching, banshee."

"... N-nothing's exploded, yet..." Anno nervously poked her head out from behind the table. Her last encounter with the Professor had been... decidedly negative, and she had no desire to repeat that experience.

Looking at the angel with a strange expression, Grey resisted the urge to glomp the angelic looking being out of the blue. "Yeah, I'm definitely her friend... Though I haven't visited her in a long time and- Wait... Incident?" Blinking once, the mage looked at the angel with worry. "What happened to April?"

"I know..." Meowrin whimpered, poking her head out from beside Anno. "It's the "yet" that I'm worried about." Leaning over slightly to the smaller woman, she added in a whisper, "If she tries to do you-know-what again, use Excalibur. Please. It's either that or let her try and do... That again."
"Heh, you speak so ill towards your saviour, April?" Heels clicked on the floor as the Professor walked towards the one-armed girl, wrinkling her nose in disgust when she looked at the laptop. "Ugh, so outdated... I'll fix it up later, I guess... Ahem." It didn't matter that it was top of the line. To Professor Mustard, any computer that wasn't built by herself was an inferior pile of junk. Averting her gaze from the (in her eyes) loathsome contraption, she once again pointed dramatically, this time at April. "As I was saying, I have the solution to your problem! Your arm problem, that is. With the glorious power of SCIENCE! I have found... A REPLACEMENT! BEHOLD!"
With a click of her fingers, it appeared on the table; a long, shiny mechanism. Even the briefest glance would reveal that this was a robotic left arm, one that would be flawlessly crafted were it not for one major flaw: the fact that it was twice as long as April was tall.
"Isn't it beautiful? Behold how SCIENCE! can replace even that most vestigial of limbs, the arm, and improve so greatly on it's disgusting inferiority!"
The angel gave Grey a blank expression, before blinking its own eyes slowly. "You do not know? Lady April experienced some form of accident. The details are rather droll, but suffice to say she has found herself sans one arm." The way they said this matched their appearance perfectly; melodic and beautiful, but at the same time cold and uncaring. "...Are you sure you're their friend? Wouldn't you know this already if you were?"

"Yes, such a wonderful arm, let me show you how much I appreciate it," April said, voice even--and believable, with the level of charisma she had--as she climbed to her feed and calmly walked over to the Professor... only to punch her in the face with her very much still-there left arm as hard as she could, "Can't you make anything correctly, you backwards fucking moron? Wrong arm and it's bigger than I am!"
The brief hope of a replacement without any difficulty, even if from such an... unreliable source, only to find out that it was completely useless? Yeah, that was rather upsetting.

"...She wha-" Shock was evident in her voice as the girl looked at the cold angel. "A-an arm..." Many implications wormed their way into the magus' head, each worse than the last. The words the guard said hit a bit close to home and for a minute there, Grey wanted to slug the girl- to release the stress that had culminated.
"You're right... I'm not... a good friend." The statement was said woodenly, her words sounding hollow. "Still... Let me in." Looking upwards, the girl hoped there was still a way of reproducing the arm. If so... then maybe... "I want to see her." Though still quiet, a bit of conviction could be detected this time.

Anno shuddered. That... was just... she didn't want to think about that. If she saw any signs of that, she would use Excalibur without a question. Sure, the side of the castle might be blasted out, but... it was worth it to stop that. They could always repair part of the castle...
"R-right..." Anno swallowed, hard, as she watched April yell at the Professor.

Even in her current state, the strength of Gilgamesh was enough to allow April to floor the Professor with one punch. However, the moment she hit the ground, the sound of several tiny guns being cocked rang throughout the kitchen. Shimmering into appearance were around sixty tiny, doll-like figures dressed in military fatigues, each pointing a tiny machinegun at April. Usually, regular humans would not be able to see them, but thanks to their possession of the powers of Servants both April and Anno had a high enough spiritual presence to see a Stand. "Hey, hey..." The Professor waved her hand dismissively at the lilliputian army, who lowered their weapons. "Stand down, Bad Company. I deserved it, I screwed up... Ugh, last time I get information from that stupid, unscientific witch..." She groggily got to her feet, wiping blood from her somewhat bent nose. "Ahem, well... There is always a pothole or two on the transcendant road of SCIENCE!, after all. Would've went so much easier if Cinnamon had cooperated... I mean, having a Wood Golem's arm would've been awesome, wouldn't it?" "Oh, um... Oh good, looks like she's not going to... Um... Y'know..." Meowrin wrapped an arm around Anno and pulled her close. After what Mustard had tried to do last time they had met, well... Poor Anno had been so shaken by it that the Overlord had feared that she'd never come to her Netherworld ever again. "Still, um..." And all this time, Ryuuzaki had simply been tending to her cooking. It was the sign of a true professional, that they could operate calmly even under such conditions.
The angel cocked their head to the side, eyes glazed from sheer boredom. "The door has been unlocked all this time. If you wish to see her, she was last spotted heading towards the kitchens." Sitting back in their chair, the celestial being went back to reading Harry Potter and the Satanic Rites of Dracula. "If it means anything, she seems to be taking the whole thing pretty well. That is, if you call locking yourself in a room with the Overlord and making love for five days straight taking it well. Hmmm."

"GET OUT ALREADY," April hissed, slinking back over to the laptop and booting it up. No password? How... annoying. Hmm... guess she'd better get used to the operating system, whatever it was, and see what utilities it came with, as well as any games. The greatest irony, naturally, would be having Fate Stay/Night on there.
