Pygmy Dire Hedgehog: a contradiction in terms, this is what happens when you take dire hedgehogs... and then breed them over the generations until they're merely confused things with all the aggression and power (with size adjustments) of their forebears... at the same size as a normal hedgehog. The taste of the meat is very strong as a result, and tends to be eaten rare due to the alarming amounts of blood packed into these creatures that gives them their flavour, but not particularly noteworthy.
Their spikes make excellent cocktail sticks. Get one of them and a few rarer ingredients and you effectively have a potion of Cure Light Wounds. ---- Yes, I think we should replace all potions with various buffet foods. >.>

Okay, here we go! Oozes in the setting.
OOZES (typically dessert dishes)
Oozes are naturally sweetly flavored due to being liquid creatures that feed by absorption. Oozes break down the body of their prey, using the sugars to make themselves larger and tastier to attract more prey, splitting in two to avoid getting sweet enough to attract predators. The larger an ooze, the more prey it's consumed.
Specific Oozes
Black puddings are a rarity among oozes in that they are not desserts, but rather oozes that can't fully break down meat. Because of this, their body is filled with chunks of various creatures they've absorbed, aged to perfection and ready to be cooked. When in motion, they take on a serpentine shape like a sausage, but when stationary they form a thin disk on the ground.
Gelatoozes live in the tundra and other areas with snowfall and a cold climate. They wrap themselves in snow to camouflage their flavor-colored bodies, and have a diet consisting of creatures high in blubber. Because of this, the snow around them takes on a rich, flavorful texture like fine ice cream.

Typically desserts, except for Black Puddings. But I suppose Black Puddings are less oozes in this setting and more, well... Sentient black puddings. >.>

And stuff from the signup thread...
* How tasty a creature is determines an experience modifier for eating it. Your character's tastes do factor in, naturally. The experience bonus or penalty can range from 50% (for stringy, tough foods like elf and arrowhawk tail) to 150% (for delicious creatures, such as older dragons and tyrannosaur.). Preparation is more important than the quality of an ingredient. * A general measure for a creature is how powerful it is. The higher the challenge rating, the better the EXP modifier. * Dragons are fully sentient and aren't fond of being eaten. Wyverns, however, taste similar and are non-sentient. * Warforged can't be gourmets. They can't get stronger from eating their kills. * Every creature is imbued with a certain amount of a mysterious magical residue leftover from when the gods created the world (need to create a pantheon as well.). By consuming this residue, a warrior grows stronger! However, it is affected by the taste of the meal, so see #1 established fact of the setting. * Iron Chefs are a martial order, teaching many schools of swordsmanship to their students. * Added Cooking Skill, a class skill for everyone based on the INT attribute. This allows you to cook tastier food, upping the XP it gives you. A natural 1 renders food inedible. * Dragons are very reclusive in this setting. If you see a half-dragon, it's the result of magical tampering or the magic leftovers of a dragon's corpse affecting the local environment.
The Pantheon of Eatonrun:
THE GOURMET GOD, ACACIA Acacia was the first to taste the succulent flesh of the legendary Tarrasque. He disappeared long ago into other sets of planes in search of ingredeints.
THE DISCIPLES OF ACACIA The three deities that took over Acacia's duties when he left Eatonrun.
Ichiryuu (god of Good, Facial Hair, and patron of orphans) raised the Four Heavenly Kings while he was still human. He is proud of their progress, and indeed the progress of all gourmet hunters. A master of every weapon in Eatonrun, and capable of incredible feats of prowess and dexterity.
Jiro, the god of neutrality, alcohol, and frivolity. His only grandson while he was still mortal went on to found the largest order of druids in Eatonrun, dedicated to preserving ingredients.
Midora is the god of evil, cannibalism, and poaching. Although he is not a cannibal himself, he is worshiped primarily by the Drow. The Drow worship his subordinate deities rather than Midora himself.
THE FOUR HEAVENLY KINGS The Four Heavenly Kings, Toriko (Discovery, Journeys, and the Hunt), Sani (Beauty and the arts), Coco (God of Fortune), and Zebra (Justice and Wrath) (Toriko and Zebra Chaotic Neutral, Sani and Coco Lawful Neutral), are the gods of gourmets and adventurers alike. They are said to have created all the wonderful creatures that walk the earth so that the sentient races might have a neverending feast as long as they could take sword or spell in hand and find a meal. Although not a member of this particular pantheon, Komatsu is closely associated with the Heavenly Kings.
THE HAIRY HORSEMEN The Hairy Horsemen, Saiking and Mayurs, do not spend much of their time in the feasting-hall of the gods. Rather, they are on the mortal plane seeking to teach others the secrets of their culinary prowess. Should they come upon a chef of remarkable skill, they will grant him one boon. These include weapons made from the metal of the gods, "Ginsu", which cannot break or grow dull, a cornucopia that can produce an endless amount of fruit, and use of the sacred Pot Of Plenty- a pot that doubles the amount of food cooked in it upon serving.
