It was the peaceful darkness of sleep that greeted those who jumped within Chara World at first, a velvet embrace that set them adrift in the black expanse. They would drift like so for a time, and be greeted with the faintest pinprick of light. Eventually growing brighter and more pronounced, it wouldn't be long before the gentle darkness was disturbed by a sudden onslaught of harsh light.
Blinking to clear her vision of the prismatic changes, the mage looked about the environment. It was a tangle of movie reels that displayed still images of the respective girl's memories, ever twisting and overlapping at frantic pace. Grey paused for a moment to watch a scene of her younger self hunched over an box, working hard to draw a house on the sketchpad placed on the cube with her uncle's straw hat borrowed to keep the afternoon sun out of her eyes.
Further off in the distance were two distinct landmarks. One was an imposing volcanic region that rippled the very air with its heat, shimmering and distorting its appearance with ripples. A fine layer of ash dusted the surrounding rocky landscape, and a continuous plume of smoke billowed out from the peak. The other area was an expanse of blue ocean, with several ice floes drifting about its waters. Towering above the icy layer was a iceberg's tip, no doubt larger below the depths as glaciers often were. The weirdest thing was that there was a hollow opening on the side of the thing.
The mixture of both heat and cold resulted in a somewhat copious blanket of steam that billowed about the place, warm and humid. "...Right, I'm guessing the trouble we need to fix are in those two places?"
