Hyper Text Visual Cross: A Magical Girl Crossover

Joan tested the weight of her hammer, then charged at the beast, aiming for its head.

Noel stared in horror as the thing that the older girl slashed at suddenly spewed tentacles. Rooted to her spot on the ground, she could only watch as the... thing lashed towards her.

Oh god it's going to hit me I can't move someone please help! the young child's mind raced with fear-filled thoughts, even as she reflexively swung her staff thing at the monster.

The chair hit the muddy blob with a splat, causing the ooze to spatter across the floor. There was a clank as the chair hit something solid inside the blob. It let out a gurgle, and began to engulf the chair. While it looked like the attack with the chair had done some damage, it was now trying to draw it into itself.

The light faded. Kaguya blinked, and looked down at herself. Her clothing had changed... a traditional kimono, pink in color, and extremely frilled. A glowy transformation, frills... and in her hand their sat a perfectly round red jewel.

One thing came to mind immediately.

"... Magical Princess Kaguya-chan ^_^!" she declared. Gone was any fear or worry. Instead, she was overjoyed. Kaguya was a magical girl now! What else could she be, after all? And some ugly blob, even if it was on fire, was no danger to a magical girl!

Immediately, Kaguya stepped forward, and... threw the round jewel at the blob. It had to be something, right?

"Stay out of the way!"

Arturia interposed herself between Noel and the monster as it lashed out, slashing downwards with Excalibur. The tentacle was cleaved in two, and shortly afterwards cut once more. The dissolving portions of the tentacle fell to the ground with a splat. If nothing else, she would defend the child from getting hurt... and maybe figure out how to hurt this thing.

The tentacle that lifted Aile immediately threw her at the ground as hard as it could.

Joan's attack as met with more success. The hammer hit the blob with an ugly squelching sound, splattering a portion of it across the ground. In screeched and retreated, its tentacles drawing back into its body for a moment.

Arturia took this opportunity to sprint ahead, in a bid to get closer to the creature's main body.

Aile hit the ground with a thud. Wincing in pain, she rolled away and fired another blast into the creature.

[Rain]

Seeing that slamming a chair into it had helped, though the chair appeared to be being eaten, Mokou wrenched it free and turned it around so that she was striking with the side of the seat. Same amount of force, but in a smaller area... so it would cut through much better and hopefully damage whatever that clunky thing inside of it was.

And Kaguya was an honest-to-god magical girl. Fuck.

The massive blob shrieked, a grating, unnatural sound that tore the air. It recoiled, folding in on itself and gurgling, dozens of tendrils trashing about towards the front of its body.

Arturia put on a burst of speed, and slashed through a fores of tentacles. She had to get close...

She swung down, and tore through layers of slime. Beneath, she saw...

... Was that a garbage dumpster?!

The golden girl atop the lap-post inclined her head. Such a valiant burst of speed and attack... it was amusing... and interesting...

The jewel shot forward and tore threw the creature, embedding itself in the wall behind it with a loud thud. The muddy thing screamed and sent out more tendrils, only for Mokou's attack to hit what was inside it.

Which was, specifically, a desk.

"Eh?!" Kaguya, bewildered by the jewel and the fact that they were apparently fighting an evil desk, took a step back and held out her hand... and then realized she no longer had her weapon. "... How do I get it back?!"

[Rain]

"Run around the thing?" Mokou disparagingly suggested, wondering what to do. Well... most of the desk inside the mud was wood, and the chair was mostly steel, so... keep pounding away? She didn't think that kicking it, no matter how effective her kicks would be against normal people, would really help in this instance.

So she started rhythmically pounding away at the table.

"W-what is that?" Aile steadied her cannon as she aimed right at the dump inside.

Still rooted to the spot with fear, Noel could only watch as the older girl attacked the monster. How? How could she fight something so scary?! It was a monster! It was trying to hurt them! They should be running and letting the police handle it, right?

But... that girl was just fighting. She shouldn't have to do that when she was in danger! She was protecting Noel and those other two, who were also trying to defend themselves... and what was she doing? Noel was just sitting there, expecting everyone to defend her! That wasn't fair... somehow, she had to do something!

Noel looked at her staff. It had to do something, right? Something that would help everyone and defeat the monster! But how did it work?
Noel pointed her staff at the creature, quaking. She was still terrified, but... this was something that had to be done. But how did this thing work? Did you just... think about magic and then magic happened?

And then Noel found herself firing wildly in the monster's general direction.

The recoil caused her aim to be incredibly atrocious, and the young girl had to grip tightly with both hands to prevent herself from simply shooting everything around her. Still, she kept the bullets firing at the blob's direction for a second or two, before she finally keeled over backwards, bullets sailing to the air before finally stopping.

Kaguya sprinted around the monster, and found her jewel. Wrapping both hands around it, she pulled. She struggled with the jewel for a few minutes, before finally yanking it out of the wall and nearly toppling backwards with a yelp.

The desk deformed, and finally collapsed and broke in half. The slime shrieked it what sounded like pain. It rapidly oozed away from the ruin of the desk... and then began coiling, almost snakelike, to shoot itself at Mokou.

And then Kaguya threw her jewel at it.

The blob exploded, spattering goo across the room and making quite an impressive mess.

Kaguya, grinning widely, bent down to retrieve her jewel. She straightened, still grinning. She had few words to describe that experience, it was just... it was just...

She abruptly attempted to hug Mokou.

"That was awesome!"

Arturia stepped back, as the bullets struck the dumpster that was sheathed in the writing goo. The first shot caused it to bend inwards, and the subsequent shots tore into it before finally tearing a hole clear through the metal. After all, it was a mundane metal, while the projectiles that had struck it were magic.

Arturia backpedaled as the mud outright screamed, an awful piercing sound that tore through the air. It slide away from the wreckage of the dumpster, defeated, and squirmed and the ground as an animate blob of filth. It even smelled foul, a grotesque black mud. Unsure of what to do, Arturia watched as the blob slid towards the lamp-post that the golden-clad girl currently stood upon. The girl folded her arms and gazed down at the mud.

"Filth."

A golden light suddenly appeared behind her. The air rippled, and suddenly dozens of weapons emerged, point-first, from the light. Swords, spears, bows, stranger things that were difficult to identify, hundreds and hundreds of weapons all pointing out of the golden light. The girl narrowed her eyes. All at once, they shot out of the light towards the mud, which sputtered and hissed and was utterly annihilated.

They vanished into golden mist as the golden light faded.

The girl's gaze shifted to regard the assembled girls below her.

"Mongrels, you could not even finish it yourselves?" she asked, "No matter, your struggle to destroy a fragment of evil was at the least entertaining."
