The Discord Diamonds. Seven artefacts of unimaginable power, possessing the ability to twist and break space and time. And now, for whatever reason, they’ve ended up on Earth. Our Earth.

Their arrival has brought with it some strange consequences; a select few were transported, against their will, from across the globe to one point. Their task? To gather the seven Discord Diamonds and keep them out of the hands of those that would abuse their vaguely defined power.

But the Diamonds’ arrival on Earth has not gone unnoticed by the galaxy at large. From the depths of space, aliens and monsters come seeking the gems. Some seek them for the power to conquer the universe, others for profit on the black market. And beyond that, not all of those humans summoned were summoned to protect the stones. Some were taken as minions, and made to fight the protectors in order to secure them for their masters.

OK, so we’re finally doing this. But before I stick the frame up, there’s a couple of ground rules I need to sort out.

1. Don't pick powersets that are pretty objectively broken from the starting gate. You need to have something to grow into.
2. For purely practical reasons I'm going to have to ban Madoka Magica based sets as well; the lack of Witches in the RP means that the Grief Seed mechanic is a little bit impossible to run or improvise.
3. I'm not sure I can stress this enough, but please for the love of god keep it PG-13, even if it takes convenient fade-outs and lucky puffs of steam.

With that out of the way, let's get this over with.

[Mahou Moerin]

• Name: Moerin

• Gender: Female
  
• Appearance: Whee~
  
• Chosen Power: The abilities of Kaoru Matsubara/Powered Buttercup. This includes superhuman strength and durability (which will be nerfed somewhat), the ability to fly, and a very large (and heavy) hammer.
  
• Personality: Hammy, silly and something of a perv. Refuses to act her age most of the time, but when she does it's usually a bad sign. She has a strong sense of justice, and is quick to jump to the defence of anyone she feels has been wronged, but other than that she's kinda lazy. She's also kind of a nerd, and enjoys cooking.
  
• Bio: There's nothing much to say, really. Just a boring, ordinary life leading to a boring, ordinary existence. She's currently directionless and lost without any real purpose in life, but that doesn't stop her from trying to find one.

[Tachi]

• Name: Tachi
  
• Age: 22
  
• Gender: Male
  
• Appearance: But with a pair of thin, rectangular-framed glasses.
  
• Chosen Power: Sela Arashiyama's abilities. This includes superhuman strength and endurance, as well as a large sword. The sword grants Tachi access to the certain kill technique, Ragnarok Execute...which isn't particularly lethal, since it's basically firing one of the fists on the weapon's crossguard at high speeds towards a target, either to punch them or to grapple them with a rather durable energy cord attached to the weapon itself.
  
• Personality: Tachi is somewhat shy around people he doesn't know and has a habit of apologising way too much for the smallest of things. With friends or when he's enjoying himself, this tends to give way to a far more confident personality and occasional hamminess and/or snark, depending on his mood.
  
• Bio: There's nothing much to say really, heck, the closest thing to something noteworthy is the lack of anything noteworthy in his life, not even a single broken bone.

[Rain]

• Name: Rain
  
• Age: 18
  
• Gender: Female
  
• Appearance: "..."
  
• Chosen Power: The abilities of the non-corrupted but empty Tome of the Night Sky. Though this basically boils down to collection of magical power and spells, it does come with a few spells: Absorption, to complete itself; the Dream of the Book of Darkness, in case there's ever a need to absorb a living thing; and Sleipnir for flight capability. She also has Combat Equipment and the potential to create the Wolkenritter, but the former is initially horribly weak and the latter take a vast amount of power to manifest as well as stripping that power from Rain herself (however, approaching that level of power at least means she can use their defensive and support spells). Finally, as she has all the basics of the spellbook, Rain knows a vast amount about how Nanoha magic works and could probably, given enough time, emulate others' attacks if no other source of spells presents itself.
  She's unsurprisingly unwilling to test if the Defence Program works and doesn't have any desire to try and Unison with incompatible magic systems.
  
• Personality: Bitter, sarcastic, and generally apathetic. Not the most social of people except when she hears something wrong or relevant to her interests.
  
• Bio: Nothing worth noting.

• Name: Jonathan
  
• Age: 20
  
• Gender: Male
  
• Appearance: Messy brown hair and pale brown eyes, along with a height and build that make him look a few years younger than he actually is.
  
• Chosen Power: Asclepius and the rest of Lutecia Alpine’s power-set, except with an upsized version of the Barrier Jacket she wore when she was ten instead of the one she wears at fourteen.
  
• Personality: A bit shy and introverted, Jon is willing to talk and be sociable, but you have to get him out of his shell first.
  
• Bio: He’s not had it happy, let’s put it that way. Left feeling like an outcast after getting bullied at school for one reason or another, Jon’s only just started to put things back together and start trusting people. Sometimes he wished that he could go back and do it all again, and do it right this time, but most of the time he’s happy with what he’s got.

So, um...I'm not exactly feeling that interested in the powerset I chose, so if it's okay (and if no one else was planning on joining with this character's powers), I'd like to change it to this:

  • The Windy: Can create strong winds. These winds can be used to blow away objects or bind creatures

• Appearance: Badum!
  
• Chosen Power: Kamen Rider Wizard's powers, though he lacks in the Style Rings (meaning he only has access to Flame). In trade, he instead has the Magic Wizard Rings, though he only starts with three not counting his Driver On (summons the Driver), Kick Strike (Rider Kick), and Connect (Opens a small portal between two places, just enough space to have him grab something). He can use these rings in or out of transformed state. The starting three are...
  
  • Defend Ring: Has him create a wall of fire to defend himself from attacks.
    
  • Big Ring: Makes parts of his body bigger, or when used on his WizarSwordGun, makes that big.
    
  • Small Ring: Makes Psyga small. Really small.
    
  
  
• Personality: Psyga is a joker, making jokes at a ton of situations, though this trait comes from riffing on a lot of horrible fanfiction. This also shows a bit of cynical snark from him as well. He's also pretty much a loner though, not exactly the kind of person to rely on as he decides when and where he'll go, even when it means having to save some people.
  
• Bio: Psyga spends a lot of time on TVTropes. When he's not in RPGs, he usually writes up liveblogs where he riffs on bad fanfiction. However, this caused him to skip out on a lot of things, and so he was surprised to find out that Kamen Rider Fourze ended and in its place was some fancy new show that had a suspicious feel to Madoka. He sadly never paid much attention to it... Until today...

• Bio: An excellent case study in why you shouldn't play with fire. Otherwise, nothing unusual.

Gender: Female
Appearance: With brown hair, blue eyes, and, um.. pretty pale... usually reds and blues for clothes colors so yeah, eh-heh.
Chosen Power: Anno gains The Sword, The Earthy, and The Fly, as well as Sakura's Sealing Wand.
Personality: Shy and somewhat reclusive, Anno spends most of her time reading or on the computer. She is a fan of action and slice of life works, as well as comedies. She is also a fan of yuri. She likes cute things a great deal and is very, very much against seeing children hurt for any reason. Anno is a massive fan of the Nasuverse, Touhou, and a lot of other things.
Bio: Anno's life is mostly uninteresting. She's just a normal anime and manga fan, really.
