"The small town requested our help. Turns out that parasitic alien wasn't as beneficial as they believed it would be." Roy said, shrugging as he leaned back on his chair and continued his story. "We had to collect all infected material and burn it down. Spent the next day or so treating all the infected."
"That's great, Hothead." Toph said, lowering her eyebrows, unimpressed with the story. "But why are you telling this stupid story to us?"
Roy was, indeed, the only man in a large circle of women, a fact that he indeed liked. He had been invited to the Noelles' barbecue- a rudimentary version of it- who had decided to call all of their friends for one big reunion. The leader of the Brotherhood could see some familiar faces and some new ones, but they were very clearly divided: the men were standing around a table, drinking this world's version of beer and talking about their subjects, while the women were gathered around another table, talking about their things. The kids were busy playing by the pond, and would go back to the table just to grab a quick bite, before resuming their game. Even if the two groups were very close, they didn't really connect, and Roy used this opportunity to "mingle" with the ladies.
"Another round coming up." Alicia said as she removed pieces of meat from the rudimentary BBQ machine, controlling the fire under it. She placed two pieces of fox antelope meat on one plate, placing it on the women's table, and then placed two more pieces of fox antelope meat (and a few more pieces of Yak Buffalo meat) on another plate, walking over to the men's table and handing it over to them, giving John a quick kiss in the cheek before going back to her table.
"I think it's a great story." Mischief said, sitting right next to her partner, chewing down a piece of meat. "Oh, honey, try this fox thingy. It's great. We've got to get some for the resort."
"John and Qiang went through a hard time hunting earlier today." Alicia said, flipping a piece of meat on the grill. "But I'm not one to complain. This world may be rudimentary- for some at you, at least- but the fact I wake up every morning with a beautiful forest right outside my window, and that I can walk over to the town's market to do my shopping without having to worry about interdimensional creatures attacking me... well, it really calms my heart."
"Republic City's like that." Toph said, pointing over at Alicia as she sat cross-legged on her chair. "It's my job to make sure it is. Speaking of job, I won't be able to stay here for a long time, Ms. Stabby. I've got a city to take care of, and I have this nagging feeling that my Lieutenant won't be able to take care of it by himself."
"How did you get here, anyway?" Roy asked.
"We gave her a ride." Ty Lee said, raising her hand. "Well, the kids gave her and us a ride in Gurgles. I can't even believe I managed to get some free time for us and the kids to visit all of you. Me and Falkon are... well... very busy. It's nice to take some time off."
Zhi wasn't at the table, no, rather, she was laying by the pond, taking a nap with her shirt's sleeves and pants rolled up, barefoot and with a book covering her face. It was obvious she had been training before the guests arrived, as the book had the title "Waterbending Techniques for the Beginner".

John returned Alicia's kiss before getting back to grilling the pirahna moose. "Hey, I'm just glad I don't have to listen to Roy's snoring anymore. Still, you'd think someone would try domesticating the Yak Buffalo around here. But I haven't seen anyone with livestock around town for some reason."
Anny, meanwhile, cut a bit of fox antelope and gave it a taste, hugging Mischief with a smile. "That is pretty good. I- Hm... Yeah! This could work at the resort. I'll have mom go over it some time. Anyway, Roy, you should be more careful! Don't want to go redeeming that contract I gave you too soon, right?"
Kun was sitting next to Zhi, eating her food between getting up to chase around Tangelo and Doll with a giggle. Qiang was sitting with Sarah on the other side of the pond, watching the sun set.

"I would've thought you'd pick a more exciting story, Captain." Blight teased, "Like that time you got beat up by a goblin, for instance. That's a story!"
Meanwhile, Mary was standing a little away from the other adults, instead watching the kids play.
Horatio was currently in the pond, up to right below his eyes, staring at Gurgles, who was mimicking the boy.
Sarah, meanwhile, quietly snuggled closer to Qiang.

Tangelo was running around with running around and having fun doing so as his only goal while Dollstop chased after him, at times only pretending to try and catch him and sometimes really trying to catch him and just falling short when he did.
Meanwhile, August was dividing his attention between watching the kids and attempting to master the fine art of not drinking a lot of alcohol while seeming to drink massive amounts. He supposed he didn't need to since his powers gave him a pretty high tolerance, but it was good practice anyway.

"Well, they do domesticate it, honey." Alicia said, tapping her chin. "Not around these parts, though... which is a shame."
"I don't snore." Roy said, glaring at John for a moment before looking back at his alcoholic drink, wondering what was this thing anyway. "And I don't plan on redeeming your contract so soon, Anny. Not for another fifty or so years, I hope." Once Blight suggested the story about the goblin, Roy immediately patted her in the head with a forced smile. "We-he-he-hell, Blight, I think it's time you go play with your friends, right?" He said, his eyes saying don't you dare tell that story, girl.
"Well, I am excited for the day you redeem your contract, Roy." Mischief said, playfully smirking at the Captain, snuggling closer to Anny. "Oh, yes, I almost forgot. All of you are invited for me and Anny's marriage birthday. It's twenty years, isn't it, honey?"
"Another one?" Toph asked, looking at the sky. "You two are sure having a happy married life, aren't you?"
Zhi, however, suddenly stood up, punching the sky. "I've got it!" She said, walking into the pond until the water was at her knee's level. She closed her eyes, concentrating on the water, before moving her hands in a ripple formation. A small bubble of water came out of the pond... and immediately popped right next to Gurgles and Horatio. "... Gah." Zhi said, comically frowning as she failed once more. "Don't know why I even try..."

Blight chuckled at Roy's reaction, "I suppose you should save it for a really big group, eh?"
Turning to look at the group of males, Blight yelled "Hey! Pass me a beer, wouldja?"
Blight's request was answered by Falkon, who was currently crossing his fingers for dessert, while Rinku silently listened to the adults talk.
Mary, curious about Zhi's practice, headed over to her. "Still having trouble with the waterbending?" she asked.

Anny smiled and kissed Mischief's cheek. "Twenty years," she sighed, snuggling as well and smiling at the others. "It'll be on one of the beaches. Just some lunch and messing around in the waves."
Kun, meanwhile, glomped Dollstop with a big grin on her face.

"Aren't you two immortal?" Toph asked, raising an eyebrow, all while still looking at the sky. "So, technically, wouldn't you keep having these celebrations forever, and ever... and ever? Doesn't it get tiring? And won't you two, you know... run out of guests?" She asked, tilting her head.
Roy gave a worried look at Blight, before shrugging and walking over to where Falkon, August and John were. "Look at us." He said, raising his bottle of... "beer" (seriously, he was going to figure out exactly what this thing was). "Tell all of you the truth, back then, I wouldn't expect us to still be meeting each other, twenty years later. Then again, I also didn't expect half the things that happened on the final leg of our journey. But now we're all adults- well, I already was one, but let's just forget about that for a moment- looking at our future, and possibly the future of the Multiverse." He nodded towards the kids, watching them play with a smile. "The future generations. Your future generations- I'm afraid I haven't added my little fingerprints to this future."
"You have no idea, Aunt Mary." Zhi said, calling Mary an aunt even if they didn't see each other that much- truth be told, Zhi did call everyone she had met thanks to her parents either Uncle or Aunt, even if her parents themselves didn't have any siblings- as she sat down in the border of the lake, her feet still submerged. "I swear, by this point, I think the spirits are just playing with me. Like my attempts are some kind of entertainment for them." She looked up at Mary, raising an eyebrow. "Why are you asking, though?"

"Well, there's a relief!" August cut in, hoping to stop Roy from going into a child-driven spiral of sadness "Imagine little Roys running around, setting stuff on fire with Flame Alchemy and breaking tiny hearts, overthrowing classrooms from tyrannical teachers and establishing new organizations in their place? Think of the chaos, man! Think of the endless responsibility, the constant weight of tiny bodies physically and emotionally dragging you down until you're forced to settle in a home and get a normal, non-evil-fighting job because you 'just can't take the risks anymore'! think of the endless resources pooled into holiday presents and COLLEGE FUNDS an- a-ahem...I mean, children are precious gifts that are totally worth having and aren't annoying at all, ehehe..."
Meanwhile, said children were still playing, Dollstop now tickling Kun in retribution for being glomped. Tangelo tackled both of them, trying to either hug them, knock them into the water, or both.

Lemon took the blunted knife she'd been poking into August's spine and removed it, hugging him. "Augie, I've told you. Adventure's a perfectly good job. Just... don't punch any more dragons than you need to, okay?"
Anny looked away when Toph spoke up. "We... really try not to think about that. We'll enjoy the moment for now."
John smiled and nodded as Kun got tossed into the lake after giggling, grinning and bending up a powerful gust to push Doll in with her. "Well Roy, I'm sure you've got plenty of time for that some day."

"Well, you can say that, Lieutenant." Roy said, drinking a bit of the alcohol while glancing at John. "You've already got three, and I can predict August will probably follow in the same way. By the way, August, fire alchemy doesn't work that way."
Toph looked down, cracking a smile. "Hey, that's my motto." She said, walking over to Anny and gently punching her in the arm. "Live in the moment. Guess you're doing it right, Wings."

Mary shrugged, "I remember struggling with waterbending too, before we figured out how to remove my curse. I'm sure you'll learn eventually, as long as you have a good master."
Gurgles and Horatio swam over to Kun and Dollstop, and Gurgles dived under, trying to playfully launch the kids a couple feet into the air.
Blight drained her bottle, "Doubt you two really need to worry about that anyway." She said, "You've got plenty of immortal friends and plenty more that would be all for immortality."
"You having some profession trouble, August?" Falkon asked, sipping his unidentified alcohol as Rinku quietly wondered why Roy would want kids.

It was at this moment in time that a portal opened, the dimensional veils splitting nad then conforming into the swirls that all portals should be. Stepping out from the depths of time space was the ever dimunitive white-haired mage, though at this point in time she was dressed as a stage magician for some odd reason. Stockings, black tuxedo/leotard combination, and top hat with cane was found on Grey's person, who was blinking. "I think I came to the wrong place..." Still, now that she was here, might as well help out. "Are you doing any cooking? I can help." She said that statement rather abruptly to dissuade people from asking just why she was dressed as a stereotypical magician when she had access to the heady real stuff.

"Had a good master." Zhi said, furrowing her brow. "Mom and Dad tried to get Katara to teach me. You know her, right? Let's just say things didn't work out to well and I ended up coming back home. We're not exactly on good terms over that."
Once Blight mentioned immortality, Toph let out a cough that sounded more like a scoff. "Oh yeah, that. Forgot you two could do that to everyone you want. I still don't know what to think about it."
"Oh, Grey." Alicia said, looking over her shoulder, walking over to the latest guest. "Thank the Spirits you're here!" She whispered, leaning in. "Please, you've got to do some of those exotic meals we got last time we saw you. Something that's not meat. Please!" The woman was almost grabbing Grey by the shoulders and shaking her.
