{OOC: Basically this works like the Rufio RPG, except with a heavy emphasis on S2 chars. You can still drop in non-S2 characters if you wish, but this heavily deals with S2, especially plot details for S2. This is also a test center for certain plot elements of S2.}
Christmas. It is a time for reunion and fond memories. Throughout the multiverse, many people have celebrated this very idea, though they might use different meanings... Life Day, Hearth’s Warming Eve, X-Mas, and many others. No matter what, Christmas seems to be well celebrated. However, there are some worlds where Christmas is treated with a little more... grit.
“GOD DAMN IT, GRACE!” was heard throughout the apartment room. What was to be a simple Christmas get-together turned into a heated argument between two people. It was hard for Nicholas to endure. He went outside of the apartment, onto its patio, and breathed in the night sky. He was visiting some old friends who were having a falling out, with this night being the worst. Nicholas never liked the kinds of reunions where it ends in people screaming at the top of their lungs. He just wanted to get away from it all. He sighed as he turned on his MP3 player and listened to some violin music.
“Hey.” Someone told Nicholas. He jumped at the sudden appearance of a person around his physical age. He calmed as he recognized the short black hair, blue eyes, and standard uniform outfit.
“Shit, I know you have the power to teleport anywhere, but you can’t just go scaring people like that, Shinji!” Nicholas said. The person sighed.
“Sorry about that... I’ll try to warn you next time.” He said. Shinji then looked up at the snowing night sky. “So, how’s your Christmas?”
“Pretty regular. Figured I pop back to my own world for a visit... Nothing changed it seemed. People still bicker.” Nicholas said. He then turned to the windowed door for the patio. “And I still hate it.” Nicholas said.
“I don’t think I have to tell you I’ve been in your shoes...” Shinji said.
“I know! ‘I mustn’t run away!’, look, I don’t care for that mantra.” Nicholas said.
“That’s not what I was getting to. You should learn to accept the fact that people may fight, even if it hurts you. Especially considering what today is.” Shinji said.
“Yeah. Sure. You know, I don’t think I wanna deal with this right now. Any problems that I can attend to? WBX declaring war on some desolate world? Scheherazade Foundation working with some evil corporation to create some sort of super weapon?” Nicholas asked.
“Well, not really. Everything seems to be quiet in the multiverse. Nothing is acting up.” Shinji said.
“Well shit.” Nicholas said. Suddenly, both of them felt a gust of wind.
“Did you...” Shinji asked. Suddenly, a blackish wall appeared, engulfing the two of them with an inky blackness.
This same inky blackness was surrounding the Nakatomi Plaza in another world. Several cops surrounded the building, guns drawn.
“Jesus Christ! What the fuck is this?” One of the cops asked.
“I dunno! Why the hell did this have to happen on Christmas?” One of the other cops asked. Standing on a rooftop, unseen by the cops, were two people in robes, though their sizes clearly indicate one was a man and the other is a girl.
“Tch. The entire building’s covered in Cosmic Energy. Whoever’s inside is quite a powerful person to be carrying that much despair.” The man said.
“Do you think it’s a Witch?” The woman asked.
“Doubt it. If it was, then the Witch’s influence would have struck the cops by now. This is something else. WBX might have something to do with this.” The man asked.
“Hate to say it, but no, we don’t have a hand in this.” Someone said behind them. The two turned to see Commander Shepard in front of them. “That same darkness grabbed our leader right as we raided Halloweentown.” Shepard said. He then walked up to the edge to look at the darkness. “And I contacted the Scheherazade Foundation. Their leader was also captured. I assume you have the same problem, Monitors?” Shepard asked. The man nodded.
“That darkness has one of our own as well.” He said.
“Hm... I propose a temporary truce then. Help us rescue Dan, and we’ll consider helping you guys.” Shepard said.
“Deal. We just need to bring in some people. Captor, summon the Brotherhood, and anyone else that wish to help.” The man said to the girl. She then nodded.
Yuna had just finished up a concert at Besaid, working on several autographs.
“I’m glad you enjoyed it!” Yuna said to one of her fans as they left with their signed Blitzball. Soon, Shane walked up to her. “So, how’s your time at Spira?” Yuna asked Shane.
“It’s better than what I would have in my world.” Shane said, smiling.
“You... never really speak of your world. I mean, what do you celebrate? I don’t even think you ever mention any family.” Yuna asked. Shane paused for a moment, his smiling faded. He soon remembered a faint memory that he wished to forget. It didn’t stop him from hearing one word in particular: “EVIL!”
Thankfully, something removed his memory. A white wall, with many cherry blossoms fluttering forth. Soon, the two were transported to the very same rooftop, with presumably many other people.
{OOC: So... Basically write up what your character is doing during the holidays, then have them be summoned by the white cherry blossom wall to the rooftop}
