It was a city by any other name... So city like in fact that we'll forgo its name and call it City X. What it's called isn't important. Like all cities, it had banks, movie theaters, shopping districts, skyscrapers, schools, highways, parks, and other city things. It even had super beings, because it was that kind of city, the ones you can pull out from any comic concerning spandexed people running about and performing actiony scenes.
It was evening, in the sky was a rising half moon that cast a gentle silver glow upon the world of darkness and spaced streetlights. A faint fog drifted about the buildings and parked vehicles, muffling things in its gray haze. Besides the drifting vapor, everything was still... Up until the peace was stolen by the cracking of windows and then screeching of alarms. Soon afterward, several masked figures dashed away from a jewelry store sans window and several items on display.
Watching the burglary from atop a lamp was a mysterious figure- although one dressed in rather revealing clothing considering the temperature. Bounding off her perch, Magical Grey pirouetted through the chill night air before landing in front of the offenders with a crouch. "Repent!"
Straightening up and striking a pose with her right hand in a V sign, the white haired magician winked and hopped slightly to the left. "For I am the she whose deft hands dispenses justice! Magical Grey is here to make you see the errors of your way!" Blushing, the mage nevertheless went to put her hands on her hip and bent slightly forward to fix the grown men with a frown. "Please turn yourself in."
In the span of silent moments that followed, the slightly under dressed girl felt the blood rush to her head. "Why did I decide to take this job..." After the amazement wore off, the hulks in the ski mask began chortling, something that was even worse than the silence.
"Yeah. We'll surrender all right." The ringleader began the theatrics of waving his hands and pouting, before going off into a full blown guffaw. "Yeah right! We're gonna be dropping off our loot in exchange for worldly pleasures. And then we'll do it again!" Struggling for a bit with something in his pocket, the leering man stepped closer with a switch knife held in his ham fist. "We're actually glad you showed up. We can get a bit of pleasure right now for free, right fellas?" Hoots and catcalls echoed from the other four, who had by this point arranged themselves in a circle about the fuming replacement hero. "How about it? You let us have a bit of fun and you get away with maybe a few bruises as opposed to the alternative..."
In the throes of machismo, the group failed to recognize two things. If a lone person in a silly costume demanded their surrender, there was always a reason that backed up their bravado. And then there was the fact the already chilly temperature had lowered itself even further... Ice crystals began dusting nearby car windows and breath was now visible. Eyes glinting dangerously, the diminutive girl willed a chain of icicles into existence before flinging them at the group. They were inaccurate, but already the the criminals were much more cautious.
"Meta-being... Of course." Cursing under his breath, the leader flung his own knife at Grey, who calmly caught it between two fingers. Pushing his lackies in front of him, two of the giant men rushed at the girl with defiance and other negative emotions in their eyes. Sighing, the girl suddenly flung herself inside his range and snapped her elbow upwards in a single abrupt motion, cracking a tune on the chin with the old joint. As the other slowed down in alarm, the irate girl swept her leg under his stumbling feet to help the man fall down onto the rather hard concrete. Behind her, a sneaking accomplice held in his hand a weapon of self defense perverted by evil intentions: a taser. Slowly, he padded toward the fiery hellcat with intent to cause a lot of damage to the upstart bitch that didn't know her place...

Elsewhere in the multiverse, a certain trap was wandering around in search of Grey. The eternally teenage boy frowned and crossed his arms. Where was that girl? Adjusting the apron of his maid uniform, the crossdresser continued his search. Of course, it wasn't long before he found something.
A portal? Well...that wasn't there earlier. Thinking to himself about the unexpected warp, Tachi shrugged and stepped through. Maybe he'd find Grey here. Immediately, the trap spotted a rather unusual scene before him. The girl he was looking for appeared to be fighting a number of thugs, with one of them attempting to sneak up behind her. Not sure what exactly was going on here, but aware of the fact that someone was about to tase the mage, he leapt into action.
White flames began to dance around the boy's body as he charged towards the taser carrying thug at an impressive, although still human speed. While the fire might hinder any chance of surprising the crook, he doubted there'd be much he could do to fight back anyway. Plus it might distract him from Grey. "GEKIGAN!" As he yelled, the fire seemed to be drawn into his left hand, creating an almost blinding light. "FLAAAAAAAAARE!" The burning hand was clenched into a fist, which shot out, aiming for the criminal's torso.
If the attack connected, the flames would transfer themselves to the unfortunate villain. While normally, the flames would be capable of causing large amounts of damage, the power in the attack was based on the user's killing intent. And in this case, the boy had no intention of killing, or even causing major injuries to anyone until he knew what was going on. As such, it would simply leave him feeling like he was on fire for a little while.

As the fight unfolded in the chilly evening fog, a small figure leapt into the fray, spinning a metal staff in as flashy a fashion as he could while still trying to keep his form practical, trying to trip up one of the thugs or lash out at his knee joints to bring him down as quickly as possible while he still had the element of surprise on his side.
Dollstop had been sent there by his eternally carefree master and adoptive father in order to 'really learn the ropes of the hero-ing business without me babying you all the time, spread your wings and fly like some kind of big, justice-loving bird'. Oh sure, August was still vacation somewhere in this world too checking in secretly from time to time. The boy's mother would never have consented to this little free-range experiment otherwise. But, for the time being, he supposedly was flying solo.
If the thug that he was attacking did get taken down, Dollstop would try to hit him with his Soul Break attack, aiming to knock him unconscious with his raw Soul Wavelength.

White walked down the street in his usual evening walk, lately there has been a lot of ruckus going on in the are, but he didn't plant to stop his evening walk because of that, although, he was a bit scared. Which is why he carries a baseball bat inside his hoodie for safe measure.
The air was starting to get chilly for reason unknown to him. He then was suprised by the scene infront of him which caused him to hide and keep his hand near his hoodies neck hole for baseball bat. He peeked behind corner and saw two groups fighting. The other group it seems was robber since they were all wearing skiing masks.
The other group made him rub his eyes twice before he believed what he saw. Three people in costumes were fighting against robbers. The two girls and one guy....no wait....that wasn't a girl..... The outfit choices really made him snicker a bit but the girl's outfit choice was a tad bit too bold which made him blush a bit.
All the fire and ice attacks done, the fog was really starting to get dense, making it even harder for him to see to see anything.

Dollstop's assailant whipped his head about, trying to keep up with the movements of the flashy kid. "Stupid ninja brat..." Growling, he tried to grab at the spinning polearm... Which was a stupid mistake. Nursing his bashed knuckles, the man left his head and stomach wide open for the blunt yet strong strikes of the metal pole. A moment later, the thug fell down like a lumberjack cut tree.
Just in the time the flaming fist crashed into the would-be assailant, punching the goon a fair distance. A side effect of the spiritual fire was that most of the man's clothes was burned off, leaving a rather disturbing sight of bouncing man flab. "...My eyes..." Grey muttered as she scanned her surroundings. She then froze as she saw the familiar faces of Tachi and Dollstop. "Wha... What are you guys doing here?" Squeaking, the mage tried to cover up her rather embarrassing costume with her hands in the areas that mattered.
"What the- The damn hero got friends!" Cursing, the leader of the group fumbled around in his pocket, the man knewhe couldn't take on all three of the people by no normal methods, especially after how easily his group was taken down. "But hey... I's got a failsafe." Holding a capped needle, the man brandished the thing with a leer.
Jabbing a needle of suspect green fluid into his arm, he pushed the syringe until all the drops were flowing through the veins in his body. "Gyaha...haha..." And then, the man's muscle mass swelled to ridiculous proportions. He now resembled one of those old time cartoons of local tough guys pumped up almost to bulging, his piggish eyes squinting amid veined head. Lifting up two cars by their bumpers, the hulking man threw them at the assembled group.

Being used to the fire's unfortunate habit of burning non-living matter, Tachi quickly looked away before the thug's clothing was immolated. Turning to Grey, he quickly took note of her attire and averted his gaze, a slight blush appearing. He opened and closed his mouth wordlessly a couple of times, about to question why Grey was wearing a skimpy magician's outfit.
Unfortunately, before he could work out how properly ask the question without sounding like a pervert, the last of the group started talking...and for lack of a better term, Hulking out. That couldn't be good. As the man prepared to throw a pair of cars in their direction, the priest's eyes widened. That definitely couldn't be good.
He gritted his teeth and made a punching motion towards one of the airborne automobiles. "Bane Signet!" He announced. A ring of light shot out from a silver ring on the boy's middle finger, heading towards the vehicle. The spell wasn't exactly designed for damage. Rather, its main purpose was simple: to launch things away from the user.

White could only cover his eye slightly when he noticed the flaming fighters clothes burned all up and left him naked. He got startled when the thug injected himself with something and grew in size and was hurling cars. He slowly pulled out his baseball bat out from his Hoodies neck hole but he really doubted that would have done anything even if he would charge in and swing his bat. In addition, that hulking thug now looked like he could make a quick works of him so he was contemp to simply hide and watch. It looked like the ...Heroes had this one covered.

As the car came hurtling towards them thanks to the gigantic hulking mass of muscles that was previously an ordinary street thug, Dollstop found himself hiding behind Grey, huddled up in a way that incidentally presented as small a target as possible.
Sure, his training from August said that now was the time to do something cool even if he didn't have much in the way of powers, like run and vault over the flying cars in order to nail the giant monster-man with double flying knees to the face in an acrobatic fashion, or at least dodge the cars and find some proper cover to work out a strategy for taking on something this big.
But he was still young, giant muscle people throwing cars were scary and Grey and Tachi were people he was comfortingly familiar with in a world he thought he was isolated in until a few minutes ago. Besides, Grey had superpowers so in his mind that counted as "appropriate cover" for a situation like this. Luckily he was too young to notice or care about the skimpiness of the outfit he was currently huddled behind, instead just thinking that dressing up like a magician was a cool idea and he wished he had thought of an awesome costume too.

As the car hurtled towards the group, Tach's quick thinking and ring rebounded the airborne vehicle back at the missile thrower. Had it not been for the trap, the others would have been flattened like a pancake seeing as one was cowering and the other one was still sputtering about being seen. After seeing the close call, Grey- nay! MAGICAL GREY, DEFENDER OF JUSTICE, snapped back into action.
Shifting into a ready stance that was derived from a classic tae kwon do position, Grey snapped out a high kick. Her form was fluid and it in a flash, her foot had reached the apex of its flight. The movement drew a glowing blue line that flew from her and towards the drugged villain, permafrost sprouting forth in its wake. "Magical Grey Secret Technique: Dance of the Nutcracker!"
Leering, the man made a wild grab for the car and held it triumphantly above his head after sliding back a few feet. "Is that the best you can do, heroes? You ain't nothi-" At that moment, a jagged and thick line of icy layers smashed into the place down under. Squeaking, the man hunched over and the vehicle came crashing down on the titan.

The layer of ice which Magical grey delivered to crooks nut's made him cringe from the distance and shake his head. That no doubt had an effect in someway, even he could tell that.
" That got to hurt...drugged or not drugged" White said to himself with painful face...

Tachi winced as Grey unleashed her secret technique. Even if it was a giant, drugged up, violent thug, jagged chunks of ice to the groin were never an appropriate response. For a moment, he almost considered going over and trying to heal the man. Of course, the fact that he had just tried to murder them dampened his sympathy enough to prevent him following through with this.
Instead, he turned his attention to the ice mage and child. It looked like they'd dealt with everything, so it should be safe to ask about what was happening, right? Blushing a little, he opened his mouth to speak. "Grey, umm...why are you wearing that? And Dollstop, what are you doing here on your own?"

With the threat over and the criminals apparently very very knocked out, Dollstop tried his best to resume being a confident child-vigilante despite huddling up to Grey in fear just a few seconds ago.
Judging solely by the fact that he was shaking like a leaf, he wasn't entirely successful.
"U-umm, well...Master said that if I'm gonna be a real hero I've gotta go out and work some jobs by myself to get real, hands on experience. So he..umm..he sorta brought me here and left me in the street. He said he'd be back in a while to see how well I did, b-but if I didn't use the time to become a superhero he'd know and then when we got back home I wouldn't get dessert for a whole week!"
Dollstop shuddered at the thought, then felt guilty for not sticking up for August more. "But it's not so bad, really! Before he left Master gave me lotsa food so I wouldn't get hungry and this neat metal staff that can do a whole bunch of stuff! and beating up bad guys is kinda fun! But...I didn't really have time to think of a neat costume! I really like Miss Grey's though 'cause magicians are awesome!"

"Ah...ah..." Now back under the mental limelight once more, Grey stammered and tried to shift the questions away from herself. "W-why are you here? And this isn't my hobby or anything! It's just my job!" The magician squeaked, face red with shame and embarrassment. "...Not that type of job either!" Hands waving and darting around, icy sparks began tracing lines through the air as Grey unconsciously released her powers. No doubt Grey was being confusing at the moment, but in her current mood, that was the best the others could expect to get out of her.

Tachi stared at Dollstop for a moment. That was...well, he'd heard about ridiculous training methods before, but leaving an 8-year-old on his own in a place like this was unacceptable. "Hm...do you think he'd mind too much if you had some company?" He asked. Honestly, he didn't really care what the answer was. Either way, he was going to keep an eye on the child.
The trap tilted his head slightly as he turned to respond to Grey. "Well, I was looking for you and I saw a portal and...um, here we are. Ehehe..." He replied, scratching the back of his head. After a brief pause, he continued, "What did you mean by your "job"?"

"What the hell are they doing? Those idiots!" White muttered to himself when he saw trio deep in their casual chat while the thug stood up.
"OI!!! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THREE DOING! FOCUS ON THE BATTLE!!!" White yelled to trio, clear agitation in his sound without even thinking.

"U-umm...I guess he wouldn't mind too much. He never said anything about having company." That was more or less true, and even if Dollstop did think August would mind a little bit, he was still eight years old and alone on a strange world and suddenly meeting up with people that he not only knew but who had also been his babysitters before after just having a giant musclebound criminal throw cars at him in what was probably an attempt to kill him. Training or no training, Tachi's offer seemed like the nicest thing in the world right about now.
He turned to look at Grey and her skimpy magician's outfit and came to the only logical conclusion for someone raised by August.
"I get it! Ms.Grey must be a superhero too! That's an awesome costume!"
