"The dreams of those who've fallen... The hopes of those who'll follow... Those two sets of dreams weave together into a double helix..."
A giant red pirate ship sailed across Earth's space, far enough so no one in the planet would notice it. But the ship wasn't going through a leisure trip, no, it was being attacked, several blasts hitting it repeatedly. In the ship's cockpit, a man wearing a red coat and a black undershirt, damaged from a battle, with blood seeping down his face and hands, held onto the steering wheel as the cockpit shook.
"Marvelous!" A girl screamed. The man looked over to see a white long-eared cat looking at the window, poking it with its paw. "Look!" The cat said. Marvelous approached the window, one hand still on the steering wheel and spotted a giant space ship with what looked like a pyramid stuck in the middle of it. The ship, without warning, began to fire at Marvelous' chaser, a long ship with two giant cannons in front of it.
Marvelous ran over to the steering wheel, yelling at it. "Hey! What do you think you're doing?!" He asked the ship, gritting his teeth. A viewscreen popped up in front of him, revealing a young boy with black hair, a scar under one eye, and a straw hat.
"Don't worry! I'll hold them off long enough for you to pull off that!" The kid said, grinning ear to ear.
"Damn it! Of all the tricks to pull..." Marvelous muttered, looking at the wheel. "Very well. But when I am finished, get the hell out of there, okay kid?" He asked him.
"Don't worry! I'll manage to get out as soon as-" The kid said, but soon his ship was shot by two blasts. "GAH!" The kid disappeared from the viewscreen as the room he was in shook.
"Luffy!" Marvelous said out loud, his hand shaking in fear, but still holding onto the steering wheel.
"Marvelous... it's been an honor serving you... please... you must fulfill your dream..." The kid said, slowly getting back up. His hat was a bit charred, but there wasn't a sign of blood.
"Don't you dare say that! What about your dream?" Marvelous yelled back.
"Looks like I won't be able to become the Pirate King... but you... you can fulfill yours." Luffy said, grinning one last time as an explosion suddenly filled the background until the viewscreen turning off, with big, red letters saying "CONNECTION LOST".
"LUFFY!" Marvelous screamed as he saw Luffy's ship, intact but charred heavily, fall into the blue planet below. He gripped the wheel and clenched his teeth, getting ready for what was coming next.
The enemy ship soon stopped. In its cockpit, several people were sitting in front of computers, checking and analyzing the status of both ships. One of the officers noticed something was up and turned to the ship's leader, who was enshrouded in darkness and the only thing that could be seen were two large green eyes.
"Master, one ship is confirmed to be destroyed, but the other-" Just as the officer was about to finish his warning, the ship was knocked around.
"What?" The leader yelled as he saw one of the ship's cannons being severed by a large pirate sword. He looked at the corner of the window and saw a giant robot, clearly made from the pirate ship and four other vehicles.
"KANZEN... GOKAIOH!" Marvelous announced. The view screen appeared again, showing the leader's green eyes.
"What is this? A last stand of sorts?" He asked.
"Yeah. I had enough of your smug grin and I'm making sure that it is wiped clean off!" Marvelous said. The cat soon turned around.
"What... What are you saying?" Marvelous took a good look at the cat, before turning back to face the leader.
"I'll see you in hell." He said, grinning as he pressed a small red button besides the steering wheel. The viewscreen turned off and he looked back at the cat. "Nanabey, take the Power Shards and go to an escape pod."
"What about you?"
"Don't worry about me! I'm not letting Luffy's death and the deaths of the other Red Pirates go in vain! The goal of fully understanding the "Power" must be achieved, even if I must pay the ultimate price! Go to that blue planet below us and spread those shards to the world!" Marvelous said. Nanabey remained silent for a few seconds, before finally nodding and running out.
"So... It's come down to this..." Marvelous said as he held a tiny action figure. By pressing both sides, the bottom half folded to the top, revealing a key. He then placed the key into the wheel. "GOKAI STAR BURST!" Marvelous shouted as five panels on the robot opened up, revealing a Chest Blaster and four lines of cannon balls on its arms and legs. The cannonballs soon began to be fed into the cannon as it fired them out towards the ship, causing massive damage. In the cockpit of the enemy ship, only the leader remained, albeit heavily damaged, while everyone else in the ship was either knocked out, dead, or trying to escape.
"Onore..." The leader said as he looked at a button. "ONORE KAIZOKU!" He then pressed it, causing the ship to fire a large magenta blast at the robot, creating a hole in it. The enemy ship soon blew up. In the cockpit, Marvelous smirked as the robot also blew up. Several pieces fell into the atmosphere of the Earth, including an escape pod.
ATTACK RIDE: PARACHUTE!
At night, in the middle of a dump in New York, a heavily armored person, almost looking like an astronaut, slowly landed onto the ground. He raised his arm as a trio of parachutes were making his decent friendly. As the landing continued, he touched his belt, a white block with ten symbols on it.
A worker at the dump saw the astronaut landing. "Hey! What the hell are you doing here?!" The worker yelled, walking over to the astronaut, before being shot by him, who was now more human-looking. He wore a black and magenta leather uniform with a white logo on his chest: a bird with its talons on a globe with the words "DCD" on it.

A Journey Through The Multiverse
(OOC: This is the intro for all characters already in Dai-Shocker, e.g: Falkon's Klingon character.)
Alicia hurried through the corridors of one of Dai-Shocker's ships. She was very, very angry, and any mooks wandering around would be smart to not talk with her: she was in the middle of a mission when she received a message telling her that all Dai-Shocker officers should abandon all activities and grey-wall to one of the ships for a very important meeting.
"Blast this." She muttered to himself as she pushed one of the mooks away to make way for her. "Blast them all to the Spirit World. I told them multiple times to not interrupt in my missions. I spend days, weeks preparing for them, but do they care? No. Of course they don't."
One of the mooks was about to ask her for identification when she pushed him aside, stomping into the meeting room. She was wearing her normal Fire Nation outfit, having abandoned her stealth outfit a while ago. "Alright!" She yelled to anyone that was already inside the room. "Who is the buffoon that called this "important" meeting? I thought I told Tsukasa I was not to be interrupted!"
(OOC: This is the intro for all characters that are going to find a shard or something like that. Characters that do not possess a shard (e.g, the Bridge Bunnies) should wait until the ship is found.)
Rita continued to stare at the ground in front of her, quietly nibbling on the ice cream she had ordered a few minutes before. The streets of the city were somewhat empty, considering it was the end of the year, so you either had people doing the final bits of shopping before heading home or people heading to their parents/friends' home for the celebration. For Rita, all that mattered right now was that her lemon ice cream tasted just fine.
"Thank you." She muttered to the waitress, who gave her a wink before giving her the change. Rita didn't have much to do in these last days of the year: her friends usually traveled, which meant spending time with her mother and father, who in turn spent their time making sure Rita was all right. Rita knew it was because they loved her, but sometimes she wondered if the scar in her right eye had something to do with it. All of those thoughts were pushed to the back of her mind when a small, purple shard fell on her icecream.
Rita stared at it, wiping the bits of ice cream from her face. Where the hell did that come from? She looked up and saw nothing but the blue sky. Curious, she picked up the shard, cleaning it so she could take a closer look. Rita narrowed her eyes, ready to place it in her coat's pocket, until she accidentally pricked her hand on the pointy side of the shard, causing her to feel an enormous amount of pain in her left hand. She dropped the ice cream, falling to the ground, as she noticed an unusual mark being etched into the back of her hand.
Once the etching stopped, Rita disappeared, although no one in the street seemed to notice...
"Yes, Jonathan, that's what I think we should do." Kios said into his cellphone as he glared at the wall in front of his desk. "Now, you should be with your family, considering it's the end of the year. I don't get a lot of patients this time around, like I told you before, so there's no need for you to be working."
Kios ran a hand through his hair, leaning back on his chair, waiting for Jonathan's answer. Why did his secretary have to be so loyal to his work? There he was, making sure everything was fine at his office, and suddenly, a call from Jonathan asking if he was needed at the office. Kios smiled to himself as Jonathan told him how he loved his job and how he didn't have anyone to celebrate the end of the year with. "Tell you what. I'll finish some papers here and I'll go over to your house. We'll have some champagne, it'll be fine, alright? See ya later."
Turning off the cellphone, Kios continued to collect all the paperwork he would need back home. His eyes wandered off to a small little black box containing an unusual item he had found on the way to the office: a red shard. It was in the middle of the street, stuck in a crack on the pavement. He thought maybe it was worth something, but now, he kept wondering where did that shard come from. Did someone lose it? Maybe he should give it to the police... or maybe he should... just keep it for himself?
Kios opened the black box, taking the red shard in his hand. Before he could do anything with the shard, he needed to see if it was real. Cleaning it with water and drying it with a towel, he brought it up to his mouth and bit it, trying to see if it was a fake. Hey, it worked for coins, maybe it would work for shards?
Something cracked, although Kios believed it was his teeth. He started to cough, throwing the shard on the floor, feeling a strange liquid in his mouth. When his eyes opened, he noticed something that made his heart jump: the shard wasn't on the floor. He fell to his knees, the coughing fit getting stronger. What the hell was going on? What kind of diamond dissolved when in contact with the human mouth? Kios felt like someone was trying to choke him out of any life he had, and as he looked at his hand, he saw weird red sparks floating around it. He tried to yell, but nothing came out of his mouth. The therapist fell to the floor, writhing in pain before disappearing...
(OOC: This should be the intro for non-shard characters.)
On the bridge of the Nadesico, two bodies suddenly appeared in mid-air, falling to the floor with a thump. While one of them was still squirming with the pain, the other one, belonging to Rita McKay, stood up, her hand hanging by her side. "What the hell is this?!" She yelled to no one in particular, possibly warning any people in the Nadesico. "Where am I? Anyone? Someone! Please, is there anyone here?!" She continued to yell, not noticing the squirming Kios.
