Note: not all characters need to be girls. Or monsters. But that would be rather defeating the point.

So, in this medieval-but-not (you could have a phone, if you wanted, or a camera... or glasses, or pretty much anything, but the setting will staunchly remain medieval. Not a clue whether it'll be Eastern or Western architecture) setting, humans are about 50% of the population. The other half is... well, pretty much any mythological creature. Wikipedia has a list of them, if you want to look through things.

Personality	Grumpy and lazy sums Akari up pretty nicely. She wants nothing more than to sleep and do nothing that requires more effort than it takes to move her arm. When she's angry or flustered, Akari has the tendency to furiously wag her tails, which only increases said emotions.
Backstory	Nothing worth mentioning. Well, she managed to sleep for four days once. I guess.
Skills/Abilities	-Very weak and unconvincing illusions. -Very weak and pretty pointless fox fire magic. -Can not be bothered to do much of anything.

Species	Demon, specifically Succubus
Personality	Scarlet is a friendly individual who likes being helpful. To some, this comes as a bit of a surprise. After all, her nature as a succubus would make some people think that she'd be more focused on being, well... seductive. However, one of the reasons she supplies for why she's not like that is her body would make this rather awkward to all but a certain audience. She also feels she simply doesn't need to, not interested in gathering power at all. She tried dressing in the kind of clothing a succubus is normally thought of as wearing and got too cold, anyway. Scarlet does have a perverse streak that she normally internalizes, but it's liable to come to the surface if she sees anything that might trigger it. As such, Scarlet flees the scene before doing anything awkward. She is also slightly sarcastic at times.
Backstory	Scarlet is a succubus, and was therefore the result of however it is succubi are made. Her life, aside from her decision to wear clothes that don't leave her too cold and to be nice and helpful to people, hasn't been the most eventful experience.
Skills/Abilities	Scarlet is faster and stronger than a human being, and capable of healing herself. However, due to her neglect of what a succubus does to gain more power, she lacks more advanced succubus abilities. Scarlet is an excellent cook.

Species	Giant Human (as opposed to Giant Catgirl). Oddly, giants are born to completely normal families... they just keep growing and growing beyond the bounds of reason, and don't actually properly stop until their mid twenties. They are, as the name suggests, very big. Sheer thickness of skin means that you need to be really big or have a lot of magic to actually harm them, which might explain why they tend to make pets out of dragons and the like.
Personality	Pineapple is a laid back girl, generally not trying too hard to get anything done if it can be avoided. This might be because there's generally not so much that she can do most of the time, so relaxing is the easiest thing. She also eats a lot, even for her size, if given half a chance. When it comes to getting food, she's likely to run to the ocean and get herself a whale or something, then use a bunch of trees to barbecue it.
Backstory	Pineapple... was born to a normal family with bad taste in names. And she kept growing, and growing, and growing... and whilst her parents are still happy to have her visit, they've suggested that she not stay and be a farmer, even if she does make the actual labour side of things very easy. She's promised to come back and visit for the harvest, though, to see how much of that she can get done.
Skills/Abilities	Well, aside from being as fast and strong as she looks, and knowing how to cook huge things, she's friends with a bunch of dinosaurs, and surprisingly good at sewing. She had to make her own clothes from ships' sails, after all. She's interested in learning blacksmithing, though finding something that'd make a good forge is hard...

Personality	Typically very stoic despite his young and small appearance, he takes himself very seriously as a true warrior, but at times the fact that he is basically an anthropomorphized puppy does leak into his behavior and he can act very hyperactive, cuddly and childish.
Backstory	-Not much to speak of. Trained to be a warrior or knight/samurai of sorts, but currently looking for a master to serve.
Skills/Abilities	Mostly good at fighting and has enhanced senses typically expected in a dog as well as higher strength, speed and endurance than a human. Currently has nothing but the stuff he's wearing.

Personality	Kirin is a quiet girl that often has weird or otherwise out there train of thoughts. She is not shy by any means, though her way of communication confounds people due to her eccentric tendencies, i.e. her willingness to say whatever thing she's likening the real world to in her imagination and her blunt honesty. She also has a strong sense of moral code, though that mostly applies to litterbugs and people who steal food from her.
Backstory	Kirin raised herself since her toddler years due to the nature of her people, becoming a wanderer that drifted in and out of places to merely settle her curiosity. Nowadays she ventures into settlements to sample people's cooking and briefly play with objects that fascinate her.
Skills/Abilities	Kirin has extremely powerful leg muscles that allow her to gallop across the landscape and even over the surface of water once she reaches sufficient momentum. Saying that her kicks pack a wallop is rather an understatement. Besides that, she can also manipulate electricity to a limited degree, allowing her to at best give people strong static shocks. She can also shoot bright flashes of light from the tip of her horn. The quilin is also extremely flexible and had she been human could have been one of the best acrobats in the world. She grows much weaker in densely polluted areas.

Appearance	Big'Ips... developed early, to say the least. She stands at about 6 and a half feet tall, all green and brutish and "right propa' Orky." She has broad shoulders, a broad waist, broad hips, everything about her is broad and thick. She has a pair of fangs that protrude from her lower jaw, a big square broken nose, and wide forehead. Her red hair is long as hell.

Personality	Long'Air is a bully. If she wants to do something, if she thinks it would be funny or pleasurable, she'll do it. She loves things that are practical and powerful, emphasizing function over form. Fittingly, she also despises people with a love of aesthetic beauty or who hold themselves as "higher" than others without actually measurably demonstrating it with physical strength. Physical strength, mind you, because she also really hates magic-users. Her background of bullying and fighting has made her unused to unconditional friendship, or any sort of relationship not predicated on fear and abuse. As an Ork, she speaks in a pretty nasty butchering of English that sounds more like Cockney than anything else.
Backstory	Long'Air was born, fittingly, with long hair. As a child, she was marked out as a girl, never one of "Dose gits causin' trouble" out in the village. So she decided to do something about it. Starting young and lasting through most of her early childhood, Long'Air formed the Runtsmashas, a gang of other female orks, proving that "da girls could be just as ruff an' tuff as da boyz!" She has since left the village with her ancestral weapons, as is tradition for the tribe, as a marauding bandit, hoping to make a name for herself in high adventure! Or... you know... at least make some friends that aren't scared of her. That'd be nice too...
Skills/Abilities	Long'Air is an Orc, so she's already hard as hell to kill, both from the outside and on the inside--poisons and such--but a life as a bully and a warrior has made her even harder and tougher... the leather armor helps too. She wields her ancestral weapons as an all-in brawler, capable of fighting long and hard with blinding rage. You know, as Orks are wont to do. On her right hand she wields a Caestus, Brooza, and on her left she wields a Katar, Bleeda.
