"Feeling weird?"

August tilted his head back and forth, seeming to deeply consider Toph's question for a while before grinning

"Not really. Nope! But do you think maybe we could find some souls somewhere? I've been really really hungry for souls lately."

The last part was mentioned offhand as if he'd just been distracted by the thought rather than thinking it had anything to do with Toph's questions.

August glanced at David next, though he suddenly had a very bitter look on his face.

"Hey, can you stop calling me "My Lord" all the time?" He grimaced and his fingers twitched, as if making the request hurt him somehow "I'm...not...not...really a prince or a future emperor anymore."

He looked down at his feet as he spoke that last part, clearly uncomfortable with the thought.

The youth’s only response was to narrow his eyes and raise his cutlass, allowing the worn blade to blossom out into purple fire once more.

“I… am not human.” As might be expected from him, it was a slow, pointed statement – but one of faintly bitter, subdued acceptance rather than any deliberate bluntness, as it had been in the past.

But that was secondary.

A swift jerk of his left hand, and the click of a primed gun – then Knight brought his red flintlock to bear and leveled it squarely at the Zora’s chest, pale finger held firmly on the trigger.

He did not move, for there was no need to. Yet. He knew the disadvantage he was at - he could not transform, and yet he would have to make this decisive. There was no question of retreat or defeat as there was for his opponent. For a moment after the thought's inception, he had considered the first option as a viable choice... but it had been cast aside within two seconds.

The decision was obvious. He had to find Decade. And so he stood. Waiting for his enemy to make the first move.

Moerin, Hades - Kitchen

"Let's go then~" With April nestled between her breasts and a firm grip on Jenny's hand, Moerin headed off to the kitchens, which looked like... A regular kitchen, surprisingly, aside from some of the more gothic designs such as gargoyle taps and skull-shaped knobs.

After a bit of rustling about to find thing, the catgirl put on a frilly pink apron and poofy white chef's hat, before handing similar sets of apparal to Jenny and April (somehow she'd managed to find a set in her size).

"So, um... You two get washed up whilst I make sure we have everything, okay?"

"I wish they'd stop with all the unfounded rumours..." Rain growled, frowning as they were teleported into a mess of enemies, since the previous stage was clear. Not really thinking about what she was doing, the white-haired girl continued thrusting away at the enemies, spearing one head clean off the thing's shoulders, "Hey, you mind helping out a little?"

"Good thing I like cooking..." April said absent-mindedly, tying the apron on and ignoring the voice in her head that said she should try and tease Moe and take everything else off. Sounded like the voice just wanted to humiliate her, really. After that she placed the hat firmly on her head and waited for instructions, hovering in the air.

Anny, Kitchen of Hades

Anny followed Moerin and company, still holding Grey in a bridal carry before setting her down in the kitchen.

"Um... Miss Moerin, may I watch you cook? I've never seen anyone cook with peppers before and... well, if they're common away from Hyrule, I'd like to learn how."

"Um... is this a bad time to point out that I've never really cooked anything before?"

Anno

Anno raised Excalibur, causing her armor to clank as she did. The surrounding enemies were, even if they were powerful, cannon fodder. "Of course not, Rain. I don't mind at all."

With that, she swiftly stepped forward. She may not have had the above-and-beyond mastery of swordsmanship that Rain had gained from Lancelot, but Saber was an excellent swordswoman and Anno had inherited those skills. And the zombie didn't even have a sword, so needless to say Excalibur neatly cleaved it in half. She didn't need to use Excalibur's more... destructive function, not at the moment. The next enemy behind the zombie, a demon of some variant that Anno didn't recognize, was swiftly impaled on the blade.

[Mahou Moerin]

Moerin, Hades - Kitchen

"Never too late to learn, little sis," Moerin said as she rummaged through various cupboards and fridges, occasionally surfacing to place various ingredients on the table. "And sure, Anny! The more the merrier, after all~"

Soon, the table was stacked with several perfectly red peppers (Moerin tried to ignore the depressions that made them look vaguely like skulls), a few cans of kidney beans (which clearly stated on the label "Does not contain actual kidneys"), some more cans of chopped tomatoes, several golden corn tortillas, some plump and juicy looking chicken breasts, a thick slab of yellow-ish cheese and various herbs and spices.

"Riiight, let's see..." The catgirl took out a knife and expertly sliced one of the peppers into thin strips. "One of you help me with the peppers, and someone else can cut up the chicken for us. That'll do for now, I guess."

[Rain]

"I mean, it wouldn't be so bad if there was actually some truth to it but there's not!" Rain said, continuing to rant as she activated Gae Bolg's special attack in order to spear something over her shoulder. The bouncing red line looked downright bizzare, really. "Hey, do you see anything else to kill before we get moved down to the next floor?"

"Do I look like I'm going to be much use like this?" April asked, looking around and considering that she'd still yet to wash her hands, "Hey, have you got a spare apron in my normal size?"

There appeared to be a cupboard right there, so...

Anny, Hades' Kitchen

Anny nodded and donned an apron as well, drying her hands on her maid's dress before taking a knife from the drawer and beginning to cut up the chicken.

"Do I need to cube it or dice it?"

"Exactly, eh-heh," Anno replied. Really, conversation about this was just making her more and more embarrassed as it went on. She wasn't even sure why, it's not like they really were a couple or anything... She didn't want to be distracted here, that was for sure. She withdrew Excalibur from the demon, which fell to the ground. Giving the area a quick scan, she found herself unable to see any other enemies. Taking a deep breath, in an attempt to ward off embarrassment from that conversation, she turned to Rain again.

"It looks all clear," Anno said.

[Mahou Moerin]

Moerin, Hades - Kitchen

"Hmmm? Uh, yeah, there's a few extra aprons in the drawer," Moerin cocked her head towards said drawer in reply to Rain. "And, um... I usually cut 'em up nice and small so they cook faster, so... Dice them, Anny."

[Rain]

"Right, thanks," April said, taking one of the aprons from the door and rushing into the cupboard, coming out a minute later with the apron on--and absolutely nothing else, since she'd just sized up to the point where she could actually help cook. Ignoring any looks she might be attracting, she headed over to the sink and washed her hands.

"What was it that you wanted me to do?"

As soon as Anno said that, they were teleported to the next floor. "So... yeah, it's completely unfounded and there's nothing that makes it any better! I wish they'd tease me about something that I could do something about or that was relevant..."

Rain was rambling and stabbing ghosts at the same time. Odd girl.

Jenny couldn't help staring just a bit as April came out of the cupboard, but finished washing her hands anyway and took a small knife from the block to help slice the peppers.

"I always get teased about being pervy, but... I'm not pervy," replied Anno, with a frown at the thought. However, such thoughts were soon dispelled when one of the ghosts approached. Avoiding one of their attacks, she stepped towards the ghost and drove Excalibur through its upper body. She ripped the blade upwards, leaving the ghost partially bisected. A second ghost soon suffered an equally violent fate, impaled mid-attack.

[Mahou Moerin]

"Oh, um, just help chop the pep-" Moerin stopped dead in her tracks when she saw what April was wearing. With just one look, her tail instantly sprung up to attention and a glazed look came across her eyes.

"Um... Ahah, um..." The mischievous smile once more settled upon her face as her eyes traced April's body with ravenous delight. "I don't think you can do what I want you to do in front of everyone, unfortunately, eheheh~"

Anny stared at Rain and dropped the knife, her eyes glowing blue and her voice shifting down into a more sultry tone. She smiled and licked her lips before advancing in a predatory manner towards the semi-naked girl, tail swishing about and already dripping.

"Ohhhhhhhhh... someone ought to cover you up."

Anny floated over and began to try wrapping her wings around April.

[Rain]

"I refuse to have a threesome in the kitchen with someone I barely know," April said, pushing past Anny--now that she was back to full size, she had Gilgamesh's physical attributes and they were nothing to scoff at--and grabbing the peppers she had abandoned. Chop. Chop. Chop. It was kind of dull but at least it was apparent that the girl had worked with peppers before.

"And we always get teased about being attracted to each other!" Rain whined, tossing the spear through a ghost halfway across the map and then dragging Anno over to Gae Bolg before she forgot where it was, "Umm, not that you're unattractive or anything..."

"Um... Is this supposed to happen?"

"Y-yeah, I don't... um... know why that happens..." Anno replied, swallowing hard. Why did she always get so embarrassed about this? Well, okay, she got easily embarrassed over a lot of things... "Oh, um, thanks, um, you're... y-you're not unattractive, too, eh-heh..."

[Mahou Moerin]

"Um... Just, um... Just ignore it, little sis, eheh, and keep up with that." Moerin took a few steps back and leaned against the counter. "You all seem to be doing a good job, so I'll, um, I'll just sit back and watch for now. Yes, that is what I'll do."

And that she did. Although it was clear that her attention was focused far less on what everyone else was doing and far more on April's butt. Aaaah~ Dying was the best thing to happen to me, eheh~

There was a rather sickening crack as Anny was tossed against the counter and vanished. Seconds later, a portal opened up, and this time she was wearing shorts rather than the sweatpants, giving free reign to see her bare feet and the flame tattoos that ran up and down her legs.. She made a point not to turn to look at April as she ran up to Moerin, ears and wings down as far as they'd go to indicate her fear.

"Miss Moerin, I am so so SO sorry! It's just... I lost control of myself and... Oh, this is just awful, I'm ruining everything!"

"Oh! Nanoha! You're coming with us too?" Nicholas said as he met up with her on his way to the bridge.

"Daishuryou is in Lewis' world... He's going to take over it and kill anyone related to Lewis. Just like he did with Lilly... I don't know where Ash disappeared to however..." Dr. Maki said.

Ash was sitting on the roof of an old fashioned saloon in a wild western town, assuming is human form to ward off suspicion. He was feeling his body, peeling away the Cell Medals that were leaking out of his wound like it was a scab. He was thinking about Daishuryou and how he backstabbed him.

"Ankh!" A voice said. Ash turned to see a man in a flashy tuxedo. He had some familiarity, but it was vague. Something about screaming happy birthday or whatever.

"Ankh? No. That's not my name." Ash said, scoffing off at Kougami.

"It was before. I came to check up on you." Kougami said.

"Why bother? I'm doing good." Ash said.

"That's not from what I saw. The Daishuryou had stolen your Cores, correct?" Kougami said.

"... Yeah. Asshole." Ash said.

"He just desires as much as you desire. Look below you, Ankh." Kougami said. Ash sighed and looked at the town. He noticed a white horse marching into town. On the horse was a man in a blue Civil War uniform with brown hair and a mustache. The town was seemingly empty before he showed up.

"Lord Vyce hasn't received his taxes from this town!" He shouted so that the whole town can hear. "He doesn't like being denied his money!" Soon, a man was pushed out of the saloon. He was wearing a blue and white stripped waistcoat with a white shirt underneath, a black bowtie, and red pants. His hair was red with streaks of white on it.

"Oh! Mr. Dunbar... Sir... Well, we sort of hit a little snag... We weren't able to get the money... But don't you worry!" The man said, pointing to the man. His tone of voice changed from being cowardly of Dunbar to it sounding like he was selling snake oil. "Because the Flim-Flam Brothers are planning to change all that! We're going to build a machine that can automatically turn apples into cider! We're going to make a killing, and we'll split the profits 75-25! Whatcha think? We're off the hook? Yeah, we're off the hook, well, tootles!" The man said as he turned and tried to walk back to the saloon, but he bumped into someone twice his size. The person then lifted him up with his long arm as the psuedo-salesman saw the person looked rather odd. His skin was blue with yellow eyes and long ears, but otherwise mostly human despite a long tail hanging out of his Civil War uniform.

"Ah, Flim, you remember Jake, right?" Dunbar said as the blue creature gave Flim a grin.

"Er... Yeah... I do..." Flim said as he snapped back to his cowardly tone.

"Good. Then you would recall that he doesn't like getting ripped off as much as I do. Jake, would you do the honors and telling him just what he should do?" Dunbar asked Jake. He then set Flim down, but not before choking him with a long braided ponytail at the back of his head.

"Listen here, Flim, you and the town better pay up by the end of this week, or else this town here will be condemned and Lord Vyce will simply destroy it, reguardless of if there's anyone living there... Got that, punk?" Jake said to Flim. He weakly nodded. Jake then threw Flim onto the ground. When Flim got up, he ran to the Saloon.

"See, Ankh, people will do anything to grab what they desire! It's their nature! Isn't it WONDERFUL?!" Kougami said to Ash. His shouting of Wonderful, or in his tongue, "SUBARASHII!" caught the attention of Dunbar and Jake.

"Huh? Go check the place out, Jake. Imma report back to Vyce." Dunbar said as Jake went to go investigate.

"Now the question is this, Ankh. What do you desire? You are made of nothing but desire, so you have to know what it is you desire most... Think about this for a while. I'll know soon enough." Kougami said as he disappeared through a gray wall. Ash then scoffed, changed into his Greeed form and flew off to avoid the tall blue monkey.

Alicia tried to smile, getting up from her seat with a groan. "I-I'm fine. Just a back pain, that's all."

She took a step forward, but groaned once more, gritting her teeth, and using the chair as support.

Toph just stood there, staring at the nothing with an eyebrow raised. Did he just say... souls? How could someone eat souls? How could Blabberbrother eat soul-- nevermind. She shook her head, turning around. It was probably just another one of his... creepy small kid quirks. "Well, let's go, Pistol Nut!" she said, thrusting her fist into the air and opening a big wide grin.

The Master stared at Gil with a dead expression for a few minutes before shaking his head and looking around. "Oh, I'm sorry!" he said, scratching his forehead. "It's just that you were so freaking boring, that I gave up and began playing mind chess with Masky. Who's cheating again!"

He shook his head once more, and looked at Gig, grinning. "Oh, you want an answer for your boring and stupid speech? Alright, here's one: we're different. You see, me, I'm the combination of two sadistical gods. The first one is the result of a merge between the seven deadly sins- not Father. The second one is the great and powerful Majora's Mask, this time, not bonded to some stupid skull kid or annoying bitch named Mary."

With a grin, he snapped his fingers, and pointed at Gig. "You see, all of the flaws you pointed out, they don't exist on me. And soon, I'm going to obtain a new body. And once I do that, I'll take great joy in watching you suffer. But I guess I can be a merciful god. How about you join me? An alliance between a god, that's me, and a demigod, that's you."

"R-right..."

Jenny went back to the pepper, running the knife around the top to remove the stem and seeds.

[Mahou Moerin]

"Bap."

Moerin brought her hand down upon Anny's forehead in a light chop, and giggled. "Don't worry about it. It's only ruined when everything's on fire or... Something. Geez, seriously, does everyone around here worry too much aside from me?" Another giggle, followed by a hair ruffle for Anny. "Don't sweat it, okay? Just get back to what you were doing, and I'll be her watching April's bu- I mean, um, watching you guys so you don't get in any trouble, okay?"

[Rain]

"You're not ruining anything, just don't try and touch and you'll be fine," April said, pushing the pepper aside and washing her hands again. Didn't want to get capsaicin everywhere, that would be kind of problematic, "What next, Moe?"

"Y-Yeah... we probably sound like we're flirting or something," Rain said, choosing to exit the Item World when the option came up and arriving back at the entrance with a pile of earnings dumped on the floor around her, "Eheheheheh..."

"I can't not come when people are in danger," Nanoha said, displaying the same complete lack of self preservation and tendency to dive head-first into danger that had got her impaled that one time. She hadn't really kicked the habit, just grown more powerful to compensate.

John, Gaoh-Liner

John ran back and held Alicia steady.

"Well, if nothing else, we're stopping by the medbay while we're here."

Anny smiled after Moerin ruffled her hair and hugged the catgirl before letting go and pulling her hair back into a ponytail to avoid getting any in the chicken.

"Right! Sorry, it's just that I feel so dirty after those episodes. I'd rather look, not touch, normally, but it's practically a reflex. Anyway, back to work!"

Anny got a new knife after placing the one she dropped into the sink and got back to dicing the chicken, her tail wrapping around her left leg and her wings pressing close to her body.
