John was holding August and stroking his hair while Alicia fretted. The two turned to Mary.

"August... had a bit of a shock. Would you mind if we stopped off somewhere to keep him safe?"

"This world has been the spawning point for many of these travelers, and so I seek to destroy it. You shall make sure none of them try to stop me, for I know they will come. I shall return your vision to your own body, and if you preform well, then our path to salvation will be close at hand..." Madoka said as she transported Jenny back to her body.

"Alright. You told me that we can retrieve something from his corpse, correct?" Roy asked Nicholas, looking over the corpse of Dr. Maki.

"Y-yes. The cores... They're inside his body." Nicholas said. "I'm unsure of how to take the cores out though... I've seen only other Greeeds and OOO take the cores out, so I don't know if a normal human can do it..." Roy then takes a bone saw, and Nicholas held up his hands. "Woah! Woah! Are we seriously considering an autopsy!? I don't think that'll work!"

"Won't know till we try..." Roy said as he moved in on Dr. Maki.

Just then... Batman had a sudden spark of inspiration. "You two." Batman said to Fusion and Laserface. "Come with me, I have a hunch of just where Greed is..." He said.

Fusion salutes. "Yes, Mr. Batman sir! Anything I can do to help and be an honorary member of the Bat-Family!"

Slowly, the new Witch stood from a reverential kneel as her vision slowly returned to her body.

"Progress, hopefully." Or at the very least confirmation of being too late if it came to that. "Of course we'll go." At the very least the downtime had given Joe the opportunity to patch up what little property damage he had caused personally.
