Fusion blinks. "We're protecting Greed? Um...does he need our help? If I remember correctly...he could whoop my ass right back into church! Seriously...I don't feel like the calvary. Greed's the calvary and we're the curb-stomped army."

"It's either protect Greed or allow the final piece to an apocalyptic weapon to fall into said weapon's hands. If Greed gets absorbed by Envy, all is lost." Lewis said.

"Not short!" Edward barked at Havoc, glaring daggers at him. Though he preened a bit at the thought that he was this much closer to being taller than Mustang. After steaming for a moment, he decided to add to the discussion in an entirely unhelpful way. "Serenade her and give her some flowers." He smirked.

[fusionman]

Fusion sighs. "Give me his position Bats. The multiverse isn't ending on my watch."

He thinks. "We're going to need someone here though. A tactical genius...we don't have time to make this up on the fly. I'm going but who in the world wants to be the commander?"

[stratofarius]

"Alright!" Toph said, punching the air. "Time for some butt kicking! Also time for you to prove you're worthy enough to be my fan, Fan." She chuckled, and playfully nudged him on the side with her elbow.

"I'll find out where he's going to." Batman said, sitting down in front of the computer. "Meanwhile, keep an eye on those screens. It's connected to all of Gotham's news channels, so tell me if anything important shows up."

Clayface stopped mid-air, his body falling to the ground right in front of August and turning into a pile of mush. However, he didn't stay like that for very long. Grunting, Clayface got out of Mary's control, and quickly attempted to flatten her with his gigantic fist.

"Halt!"

Three soldiers sporting rifles stepped in front of the entrance to Central HQ. After a second, they all pointed their guns at the four Dai-Shocker members in front of them. "What are those things?" one of the soldiers asked.

"Don't know, don't care." the first one, the small squad's leader, replied. He then turned to Maki and raised his voice. "Whoever you are, you are now invading restricted territory! Drop your weapons and get on the ground."

The orders from Daishuryou were clear. "Destroy any that stand in your way. Clear a path for the army. Conquer Central HQ.[/I][/color]

"Somehow, I don't think that'll work, Fullmetal." Roy replied, scratching his chin. "Maybe it's the fact Olivier believes I've been dead for the past three months."

"Maybe this... ro-bot guy here can do something?" Breda asked, pointing at Murray with his thumb.

"Am I?" Dr. Maki said. He then snapped his fingers as the Hellhound Phantom flexes his arms to the guards, creating a wall of fire that would attempt to light them on fire. Dr. Maki then nodded to the Minotaurus Phantom as it ran to the doors, ramming the doors down with its horns. Dr. Maki and the Catsith Phantom then waltz into Central HQ.

[Krautman]

"Okay then. Super-Cyber, Gear Shift!"

Murray backflipped through the circuitboards, landing in costume.

"Uh... sorry, went into sleep mode. What am I supposed to be doing?"

Knight stirred at the light touch on his arm, and the clicking of the Gokai Gun stopped. Without a word, he followed Toph and debarked the Gaoh-Liner, stepping firmly onto the floor of the Batcave just as the presentation began. That completed, he looked blankly at the screens for several minutes, as if mulling over something deep inside him- then, after her outburst of enthusiasm, he finally spoke, his voice as quiet and dull as it always was on the rare occasions when he chose to speak.

"...Do you remember me?"

It was a strange thing, but Toph might have noticed (even from her brief moment of contact with Knight) that he didn’t feel right. The texture of his arm, its unusual coldness – all of the signs were more symptomatic of a corpse than a living being.

She wanted to know. The clues weren’t all that hard to pick up, if she went about it the right way.

But his mind was half on other matters. That person...

Could finding Greed lead him to Decade?

Fusion giggles. "Oh I won't let you down Lady Bei Fong. Don't worry about me."

He smiles. "Time to save the world buddies. Greed needs some backup apparently."

[Laserface]

Joe on the one hand figured if Batman wasn't able to handle it so far, if he isn't able to do much shouldn't feel too bad about it. On the other hand, not being able to deal with the situation means very bad things would happen worth feeling bad about.

"I figure you already have the most expensive thing in the Gotham that Greed hasn't stolen yet under surveillance, or would that be too obvious to actually be where we end up?"

August pulled out Vampire Killer and turned it up to full-on evil smiting flames mode, swinging it to lash at Clayface several times over. The mutated lump of chemicals wasn't a dark or demonic being, but the flames might actually do something effective against the clay-like structure of his body and until he could get his hands on a more powerful weapon this was all August could do.

Sam raised her hand, bringing attention to the fact that she had been with Ty Lee and the others the entire time.

"Uh, so where are the sewers?"

"They must be somewhere around here..." Nicholas said, trying to search for the entrance to the sewers. Homura was assisting in the search, she then noticed something.

Toph's smirk disappeared for a moment as she raised an eyebrow. It was obvious she was focusing on Knight, even if her eyes were still staring at the ground next to Batman. "Of course I remember you, Mr. Brooding." she replied, crossing her arms. "Even if you always insist on staying in the background, I remember you. I remember everyone. Well, almost everyone."

"Interesting enough, Greed doesn't go after the obvious things like diamonds and money." Batman said as the screens began to show various streets. "Even if he's name is Greed."

"He usually goes after whatever he wants." Nightwing commented, his voice echoing through the once-empty cavern. "I thought you had forgotten about me, Batman. Want to introduce me to the new guys?"

"They will assist you in your mission, Nightwing, and will introduce themselves once you two meet up... here." Batman said as he showed them a picture of a street where an old, run-down antique shop could be spotted. "According to the tracker you planted, this is where Greed is located."

"Alright then. How about we do something and go after him--"

But Nightwing was interrupted as several video feeds from three different news channels appeared on the Batcomputer's screens. Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy invade Gotham's Second National Bank, one said. Scarecrow and Killer Croc join forces to invade Gotham's Police Station, said the other. Mad Hatter and Harley Quinn invade Gotham's harbor said the last one.

"What's going on?" Alicia asked as she pulled out her GPS, getting to work on warning John about what was going on.

"It seems like your friends are joining forces, Batman!" Nightwing commented, following said comment with a chuckle. "It's a regular reunion special!"

"Now's not the time for jokes." Batman reprimanded as he stood up. "There has to be a hidden reason for this. Three attacks on three different areas after we find Greed's hideout? Can't be a coincidence."

Clayface fell to the ground, Vampire Killer's flames turning him into a pile of mush. However, as he slowly returned to his humanoid form, something caught his attention: multiple police cars driving through the streets, all of them going to different locations. Silence, and then several different noises could be heard coming from all around them: explosions, gunshots, screams.

"I'd love to stay and chat." he said, taking a step back. "But it seems like his plan is starting now. Which means it's my turn to get as far away from this city as possible. Goodbye!" he said, before falling off the building. His body turned into mush upon hitting the floor, but it began to move towards a nearby drain.

As two soldiers from the squad were burned alive, the other one managed to fire a couple of shots into the sky before the Minotaur knocked him out as he rammed the doors down. The shots managed to grab the attention of all of the soldiers in the lobby room, and they quickly pulled out their weapons, pointing them at Maki and his monsters. One of the soldiers ran up to a room, and an alarm could be heard ringing all throughout Central HQ, warning anyone inside the building or near it about the threat.

"Find a way for the Colonel to get into Central HQ without being noticed." Breda said, furrowing his brow. He was about to say something else when the faint sound of the alarm caught the group's attention. Both Roy and Hawkeye remained silent for a few seconds, before turning around to face each other. Hawkeye nodded, and Roy turned to the Elric brothers. "Central HQ is being attacked. I believe that's our way in." he said, calmly.

The group quickly collected their belongings, with all of Mustang's men loading clips into their firearms. "Fullmetal, Alphonse, you two stay on the back. Provide us with cover." said Roy as his squad ran out of the attic and into the street. "Oleg, take the two newbies, stay with them, and help the Elrics!" he yelled, before following his men.

"Come on, brother!" yelled Alphonse, who didn't wait a second before following Roy.

"Alright, alright, no need to yell." Ling said as he stopped walking. "Here." He turned and entered an alley, where a tube in the wall covered by a grate could be seen. He opened a door in the grate without any problems and stepped inside. Ty Lee followed him, taking the shackled Griga with her.

"Oh, this is exciting!" Ling said as the group began to descend a set of stairs. The lower they got, the darker the whole place seemed to get. "I'm going into the sewers with a man in a pink costume and another man that looks like a fish. I'd ask, but I think I already know the answer."

Homura would find something quite unusual: an extremely small panda lying besides the grate, under a cardboard box. It looked like it was somewhat afraid of the group, but most importantly, it was looking for something. Or someone, as right next to the cardboard box, Homura could see some pieces of bloodied fabric. It looked like whoever was here left in a hurry, and the fact that Ling had so easily opened the door to the sewers was a clue as to where the owner of the small panda had hurried off to.

[Krautman]

Suddenly, a blue glove with a thick white wire thrust into Clayface's puddle form, delivering a powerful electric shock. Looking up would reveal John, transformed, and pumping electricity into the clay man.

"Hi there! My name's Masked Rider OOO! I'm here to talk to you about changing your current electricity provider. I can offer you 400 kilowatt hours absolutely free, here and now!"

Fusion sighs. "I hate to say it but...we need to keep an eye on the police station. Both for the Commisoner and because we can't let innocent men of the law die if we can stop it."

Fusion consults with Dooku in his head. What do you think? We send some of our group with Nightwing? I mean Nightwing would know these enemies better than any of us and has a knowledge of the city.


There's blatantly a sigh echoing through Fusion's mind. I would suggest not wasting our time but...fine. Know that the blame if we fail falls entirely on your shoulders.

Fusion tries to sound commanding in his tone. "OK some of us are going with Nightwing in order to protect those cops. The rest of us are going to find Greed. I'll help lead the team at the station. Anything that goes wrong in this plan falls on my shoulders. So who's going with me?"

Edward nodded, knowing the seriousness of the situation, and quickly caught up with Al. He checked behind his shoulder every few seconds, wary.

[Laserface]

"Hello Nightwing, I'm Joe. Green flashlight tricks doesn't mean I'm not willing to listen to somebody who's been dealing with this sort of thing much longer than I have."

He looks over to Fusion, "As much as I'm inclined to stick with you, I should probably keep looking for Greed. Though while it wouldn't be a good thing, not being able to save everyone at the police station won't be your fault unless you start carving them up yourself. Don't be so eager to take the blame for events orchestrated by someone else."

Joe wasn't above some light hypocrisy. After all, he wasn't expecting to succeed on his end either. "I'm heading out in a minute. With half of the people we showed up with off who knows where, I figure I'll be alone going after Greed till they get back. I'll admit, I'm hoping to convince the guy to skip town." He shrugs, "Besides, even if I could beat them into the pavement? All that would accomplish would be an invitation for Envy to show up and eat them."

Sure, in theory Joe could prevent that. But in practice? Joe would expect Cutscene Incompetence to kick in while he had his failure narrated to him.

Not that he could see the narration, that would be crazy. He wasn't deadpool.

"What the f--" was all Clayface could say before he was electrocuted by John. He managed to turn back into his humanoid form, but before he could do anything, the shock knocked him out, and the massive clay man fell to the ground, parts of his body still half-melted clay.

"The police station is not everything we have to care about." Batman replied, pressing a button and looking back as the lights revealed the Batmobile, which looked like it had just been cleaned. "There's also Tetch and Quinn at the harbor, and Fries and Poison Ivy at the bank. And the person behind all of this: there's no reason these people would work together out of nowhere."

"My bet's on Nygma." Nightwing said. "Right, I'm going to keep an eye on Greed's place, but I'm also going to tap into police radio, to see how things are going."

The RinRinShi's gaze narrowed faintly at Toph's response, and he looked down, deliberately refusing to meet her unseeing eyes for several minutes as he sullenly contemplated his response.

So. She had been there. This made things far more complicated than he'd like them to be.

Subconsciously, Knight had been doing what he always tried to do with his blunt, piercing style of unnecessary interrogation - catch the opponent off guard, reveal their true intentions and find out more about the situation at hand in the same fell swoop, employing just about as much tact and subtlety as a very large sledgehammer.

However, this particular case was different ...in that he had had no idea what the correct answer might have been. Waking up on Avatar's World had been more of a rude shock than anything else, and he had phoned Marvelous and left before any of the Brotherhood on that planet had even had the chance to detain him. He didn’t know where he had landed, where they had found his unconscious body, or even when they had decided to heal him. The idea that Toph might have seen him on Ember Island in that limited time was more of a shaky guess than anything else.

Apparently, it had also been a highly accurate shaky guess. He had not been expecting it at all, really, despite all appearances to the contrary - but he couldn’t let her know that.

There was something else in the statement. She wanted to know about him. Again. People just wouldn't leave him alone.

Head finally raising, Knight looked up, eyes filled with tired resignation. He had to say something.

“...In the background," he repeated dully.

"You want to know more. Know more about me. Don't you?" There was no hint of eagerness in his voice.

The soldiers would notice their bullets hardly affected the Greeed or the Phantoms. "Spread out. Scour the area. Find the sacrifices and bring them to Daishuryou!" Dr. Maki said to the Phantoms. The three Phantons split up, while Dr. Maki continued on ahead to the soldiers. He smirked as he took out his Keyblade and swung it to the soldiers firing at him.

Homura and Nicholas followed Ling into the sewers.

"Ling, I've happened to find this bloodied rabbit... Do you know anything related to it?" Homura said as she handed the rabbit over to Ling.

[Flanker]

Flanker followed close behind Ling, pinching his nose just in case the smell became overwhelming. He knew that no-one said that saving the multiverse would be glamourous, but he hoped he wouldn't have to deal with more sewers than this. Hearing Sam's question, he motioned her over. "Just follow us. I'm sure it can't be too far..."

He kept Model Z clutched tight in his other hand, ready to megamerge if necessary.

[Falkon]

Mary looked at Clayface, a strange expression on her face. "Why'd your lightning work so much better than mine?" She asked.

[Mahou Moerin]

Moerin - SPACE BATTLESHIP IWASHI, Sleeping Quarters

Moerin didn't even have time to think as Rain hurled Grey back at her, and was knocked to the floor as the other girl impacted her.

"...Uuuuuh, s-stupid Rain, cheating like that..." she moaned, deciding that further retaliation was probably not the best idea. Besides, she figured it was better to just lie low for now, especially since Grey's chest was now pressed against her face. "...Heheheh~"

Jolokia - SPACE BATTLESHIP IWASHI, Prinny Processing Plant

"Oh... So penguins are evil, then? That's weird..." Jolokia frowned, not exactly sure what to make of this new information.

"Dood? DOOD!? The almighty Moloch the Mighty shall never say "dood"! For Moloch follows no rules but his own, blazing his own trail by his own rules and ruling all by... By... Byyyyyyyyyy..." Inexplicably, Moloch's eyes dimmed halfway through his new proclamation, and his head drooped down as his power faded away.

"Aw, out of power already? And it took me forever to find a power source..." A voice stated from behind the two girls and the trap. "Do you guys know how difficult it is to find two AA batteries in the Netherworld? I swear... Oh, hey Jo."

"Mustard! Yay!" Jolokia squealed, turning around and hugging the source of the voice, the professor who was inspecting Mazinger with much glee earlier.

Anise - SPACE BATTLESHIP IWASHI, Library

"If you're referring to the werewolf, then I think "straight" is the wrong choice of word," Anise said, almost sounding somewhat amused. "Seeing the way he acts towards Valvatorez, one would think otherwise."

She finished the handshake with Emizel, and was somewhat put off by the look on his face as he checked her stat screen. I'm not tsundere! Stupid Netherworld!

"Counterproductive as it may be, sometimes I wonder if it would be better to just take everyone out alongside myself, just to escape this lunacy once and for all," she sighed. "Then again, maybe it's better that at least someone acts rationally around here. I'd hate to think what Master Meowrin would do if left to her own devices... Hmph, maybe that's why I was made a main character, to keep her from... From whatever act of idiocy she'd do."

[EldritchMermaid]

Jenny still couldn't help giggling at the sight of her big sister on the floor with another girl's chest pressed against her face like that. Maybe some of her more... perverted personality traits were starting to rub off on her.

[Rain]

"Much better..." Rain mumbled absent-mindedly, firmly snuggling Anno from behind and wondering what the small weight against her foot was. As it turned out, that was April, leaning against the thing to her side and continuing to watch the film. She was probably the only person that was paying enough attention to laugh at it.

Anno blinked, and looked over her shoulder a little when she felt Rain snuggle her from behind. She blushed, faintly, before leaning against Rain a little and smiling. Her focus returned to the TV. After all, it really had been a while since she'd seen this movie... and it was truly hilarious.

"Maybe we should leave him here." Falkon said, "He doesn't seem trustworthy."

[Vinestar]

Grey

"Mmph!" Her flight of motion interrupted suddenly by Meowrin, the mage jerked to a stop atop her knocked over friend. "I-I'm never having a pillow fight with you aga-" Pausing as she felt something press into her chest, Grey awkwardly craned her neck inward to find that the nekomata was face first in that particular pair of body parts.

"She's in my..." So close was the demon that she could feel Meowrin's breath. Had she retained a heart, it most certainly would have sped up to hundreds of beat per minute. Scrambling to her hands and knee so as to take her weight off the bottom figure, the mortified magician began stuttering out half legible apologies. "S-sorry that happened..." Flushing crimson with shame, Grey's ever familiar mist of embarrassment began appearing once more.

Desco

"Desco is glad the annoying Prinny runs on batteries." Glancing at the unmoving automaton, the girl heaved a sigh of relief as there was less of a chance of her vampire party leader from going all out with his shenanigans. Turning to the Professor at hand, the loli tilted her head to the side."Is she your friend, Little Big Sis?"

Emizel

"Well... yeah. Fenrich has that quirk, yes." Chuckling, the reaper remembered just how... willing the werewolf was to serve his vampire liege.

"As for that train of thought, I don't think you're powerful enough to take everyone with you yet. And killing yourself won't really end anything, given how this world operates. You'd just either end up in the hospital or I would just harvest your soul and stick it in a Prinny suit after you inevitably crash and burn by your lonesome." The way the demon said it with a straight and almost comically serious face left no doubt that his words were very true. "And yes, the job of the straight man is a hard one." Sighing, Death remembered all he had to deal with... There was only so much a straight man could resolve.

[stratofarius]

"No." Masjora replied, focusing on his GPS as the Riddler told Harley once more how the robot worked. "We're keeping... whatever you're talking about. And don't bother me with your little thoughts, I'm busy arranging the distractions for the Brotherhood idiots."

"Of course we need to keep an eye on the police station." Batman replied. "But the Bank and the Harbor are also important. Green Lantern, go to the police station, Nightwing will go with you. Those two" he pointed over at Toph and Knight "can go to the harbor, I'll tell Batgirl to go with them. And you two," he pointed at Alicia and Fusion as he typed some commands on the computer, "come with me to the bank."

"Yes, Br-- Batman?" said a female voice as the image of Batgirl, with her mask on, but still putting on the rest of her costume, appeared on the screen.

"The Harbor. Now. Quinn and Tetch are supposed to be there, but all I have to go through is a reporter on a studio. No police cars, no cameras, anything."

"Got it. I'm on my way."

Toph wasn't paying attention to everyone else, and turned to Knight, punching him in the arm. "Mr. Brooding! Everyone wants to know more about you. All I know about you is that you like to look down and brood. Sometimes you brood more than Moodbender- and his nickname is Moodbender. Now, how about you tell me more about you, since we're apparently going to the harbor to stop some villains?"

Going to the bank. Someone named Mr. Freeze and someone named Poison Ivy are there. Toph and... I don't know who are going to the harbor, while Joe and someone named Nightwing are going to the police station. Batman thinks there's something wrong. Stay near August. Alicia hazily typed as Batman pressed a few buttons, revealing the Batmobile.

"I'm putting the Batmobile on an automatic course to the harbor. As for the bank group, we'll take your friend's train." Batman said to Alicia. "You can drive it, right?"

"Husband." Alicia corrected. "And of course."

"That's not a rabbit, that's a panda!" Ling said, attempting to take the small panda, letting out an "oh" as the panda climbed Homura's arm and hid himself behind her ear.

"Aw. That's cute!" Ty Lee said, letting go of Griga to get a closer look at the panda. "You call this animal a panda?"

"Yes, they're very common back home." Ling replied, crossing his arms. "In fact, I once--" He suddenly stopped, his smile disappearing as he turned around and looked at the darkness in front of him. Ty Lee was about to ask what's wrong when he unsheathed his sword, glaring at the darkness. "Someone's coming. A big group. Get ready."

One by one, the soldiers fell, not knowing what to do against this new kind of weapon. Some of them managed to retreat deeper into the HQ, and some of them tried to block the Phanton's way with tables and cabinets, but it seemed like nothing could stop them. The alarm could be heard all throughout Central, and outside, people were retreating into their homes.

Maki managed to knock out the last soldier in a small group that remained in the lobby, trying to attack him, when the door once again was burst open by Roy and his group. He immediately pointed his hand at Maki, glaring at the doctor, as his subordinates knelt besides him, all of them pointing their pistols at the doctor.

"Maki!" Roy yelled. "Put down the keyblade! Tell us where Daishuryou is, and we won't harm you!"

"Sir, he's already injured several men, and perhaps even killed others." Hawkeye whispered to Roy.

"Fullmetal, Alphonse, get ready to attack him." Roy whispered to the two Elric brothers besides him. "Men, if he charges at us, dodge, run away, don't let him get near you. Oleg, try to bind him. Newbies." He said, taking a moment to catch his breath and to glance at Magi and Kalloon. "This is the time where you show me what you can do."
