But it can break 1582 cubic meters of a material which can withstand essentially 6 kilotons of TNT.

Tip, GCR: stop being anal-retentive; nobody else cares about it and it's just annoying. Especially the whole 'applying EXTREMELY WEIRD video game physics to a roleplay' part.

Most of the worlds run on real-world physics in most respects, not Minecraft physics.

That was kind of a given, since most places aren't Minecraft.

Which means that hitting a normal human with a pickaxe is going to kill or seriously injure them. Because it's not Minecraft.

Especially since the pickaxe is made of diamond, one of the most toughest materials on the planet.

No, diamond is simply enormously hard to scratch.
It's really brittle, though. Use it as a pick and it'll shatter.

We'll use Minecraft physics on Minecraft objects then.

Unless we want the Diamond Pickaxe to shatter the instant I whack it off something, I think we'll have to make exceptions.

So, let's jsut lay this down: Items of Minecraft origin or Minecraft power creation work like they would in Minecraft, just like any technology works in a different world.

Man, I don't even play minecraft (Though I've dabbled a tiny not much progress bit in Terraria). But the people jumping up and down on "diamond Pickaxes are dumb they would break!" need to chill, we're all special anime/video game snowflakes here taking the laws of physics and snapping them over our knees.
Not like there is any shortage of helluva tough weapons, all our instruments of violence are cool. Diamond pickaxes are cool. Lightsabers (despite some of my biases from people I know or have interacted with being mouth frothing fanboy maniacs about them.) are cool. Ridiculous "Yeah I could probably kill Darksied" methods from setting's I'm not familiar with are cool.
Now, if I were to go for Block related powers? I would go Lyle In Cube Sector style. We should probably hang out sometime 22m, Joe's the resident Newb Green Lantern (Yellow? No problem!). We're both using Characters named Joe, we both got DC based gimmics. Even if I hardly read comics these days. Darkhawk, the only Comics run I've read the whole thing of (and a giant stack of X-Men up to the 90's that is all a blur.)... Why hasn't 90s Kid ever mentioned Darkhawk? Page one of issue #1 opens with "Stan Lee proudly presents the premiere adventures of the greatest hero of the nineties."
PS: Psyga references Freedom Force. Opinion of Psyga goes up 19 trillion points. Come El Diablo, we must stop NUCLEAR WINTER! :black101:
...Seriously, my old pal went on at length to a big Transformers Fan pal of mine how Lightsaber and/or Zero from Megaman X > Unicron, in complete seriousness.

I don't mind the diamond pickaxe not shattering at all. I'm just pretty certain hitting a normal person with it would kill them, or seriously injure them.

I think Rain was correcting him on an incorrect statement about diamond and stating how a real diamond pickaxe would work, rather than saying that it should immediately break when he uses it.
I could be wrong though, but that's how I read it.

I'm pretty sure that's the case as well.
If the material is taken out of a Minecraft world, fine, it acts like it does there. But applying game mechanics like how it functions, like how it takes multiple hits to kill things, is... not so good.
I guess it might be just me really disliking applying game mechanics to RPs(unless they're actually part of the universe, like Disgaea or something), but it seems kind of dumb to me.

How's about letting him turn a small radius around him into Minecraft blocks to which the said Minecraft physics apply? There could be other limits like 'no organic matter,' but...
Just a thought.

Okay. In one side, we have Daishuryou, possessed by Father, sending Dr. Maki and some Phantoms to go attack Central HQ.
Meanwhile, Ling and his team try to ambush Daishuryou by going up from the sewers, but are stopped by an asspulled General and his team.

How about we just say anything processed through Minecraft means takes on Minecraft attributes?
Otherwise, the "craft" of "Minecraft" would be negated.

Does this mean 'blocky and illogically defying physics'? >.>
And yes, my correction was about overstating the properties of real diamond.
