A thin sign hangs above the door: "Faversham's Workshop--Payment in Cash or Materials"
Inside, it looks like a battleship is being disassembled. Bits of metal coat the floor, tools are seen everywhere, and half-finished constructs are everywhere. In the middle of it, idly tightening up a bolt, is a white-haired girl in a suit, her hat on a post behind the door. Both her clothing and the metal everywhere is rather incongruous with the architecture of the building but it was the only one she could afford.
Looking up, the girl asks, "What may Faversham build for you?"
Basically, this is a pre-S2 RP to help me with actually getting used to what Faversham can actually build at this point. Give her a task that needs to be done (could just be dialogue, really) and payment, then she builds it. Subject to the restrictions in her bio on the S2 planning thread, however, so no really weird ones. =P

A ruff and burly army general was the first to enter. His entire attire was red, save for his gray pants and a gunmetal army helmet that seemed to be too big for his head, as it was dropping to his eyes. He gave a look at the place, then at the shopkeeper to see if it's the right place.
"Hello there. I'm looking for a man that can build me some artillery to keep them nasty nords at bay! Preferably a large ass cannon that fires giant ass rats to give them the plague! I'll pay you good up front and if this weapon wins the war, you be getting tons of medals of honor!" The general said.

A man dressed in a coat and fedora walks into the makeshift workshop and shows a latter to the owner of the establishment.
"A blueprint for a Zeppelin-killing powered suit with a.... Judicious and possibly overabundant number of high-explosive rockets. Weapons for dealing with surface threats optional but recommended."
The man then reaches into his coat pocket and offers up a large wad of money to the mechanical lifeform.

Faversham looked up at the man, wondering why he was coming to such a specialist shop for artillery. Still... artillery, she had some ideas for that. Standing up and asking him to wait, the girl limped over (no matter how much she tried, she couldn't get the legs to match well enough) to a table covered in papers and looked through at the designs. Ah, yes, she definitely had something he might want...
"Faversham requires two days to build this and enough money to purchase several tons of iron."

"Luckily for you, I have that covered!" The General said as he dropped off a large bag of money. "That should be enough. If for some reason there isn't, give me a holler. Here's my number." He said, giving her a slip with the army's phone number on it.
"Now, I shall be off to fight the nords!" The General said as he marched off.

Taking the money, the robot set to work on purchasing materials. She knew exactly how to build what she wanted but she didn't have the materials on hand. So, after going out to purchase the materials, she returned to her workshop and did some essential maintenance on the construction she was going to use to help build this.
Whilst Faversham herself wasn't large enough to work on the major components by hand, she had built a pilot-able robot she could control to fashion such things as cannons and major artillery. It had been a few months since such a large order had come in and she needed to make sure that everything was in working order.
The next day, the materials arrived and Faversham set to work. Firstly, she worked on the barrels, using the robot and funnelling steam through a special loop designed to vastly increase the pressure so that she could mould metal by hand (similar to the one in her left arm, in fact, but on a much larger scale). Eight artillery barrels were fashioned before she set to work on the base, making sure to include gears as eight massive wheels.
Since this wasn't meant to be controlled by her, it needed a boiler, too. Fortunately, boilers were very efficient nowadays and she could afford to make all the components as heavy and durable as possible. In making and attaching the boiler, Faversham connected all the piping necessary to operate the barrels and set up a cockpit, placed behind the barrels where the driver couldn't see. After all, no-one should be operating artillery independently, so it didn't matter.
Then came the more finely-tuned pieces, the more delicate mechanisms and the actual feeds for the shells. She left that until the second day, mostly piecing things together from what she already had. Then it was complete, ready to be taken to battle: an artillery piece with a rotary cannon that could be constantly fed whilst in operation and could even be driven to the battlefield rather than pulled by horses. It was a bit clunky to aim things but still a good piece.
Hopefully, the man would like the weapon. She'd even gone and burnished everything so that it gleamed in the sunlight whilst she waited for him to pick it up.

The general came around to pick up the cannon. With him was a bag squirming with rats, as the squeaking made it obvious.
"Thank you, mam, you will do this country a great service one day. Alright boys, let's bring 'er home!" The general said as he got into the cockpit. "Hey! I can't see anything! No matter, a man's great test is to fight without sight!" The general said, passing off the cockpit's placement as the cannon tank drove off, hopefully not into a tree.

"I'm telling you, she's the best in the business."
"Are you sure she's the best right now? What if we are too early in her timeline?"
"She's always been the best, Martha, don't worry."
A man that looked like he was on his thirties entered the room. The most interesting features in this man were his clothes- a long jacket, a blue shirt, pants, and what appeared to be shoes from 2007. With his hands inside his jacket's pockets, he approached the counter, and a big, friendly smile appeared on his face:
"Hello! I'm just walking by here, and I need to ask... you wouldn't have some sort of cannon, would you? You know, the small ones, which allow you to shoot slowed down or sped up objects? Really easy to make. If you could, you know, make one I can easily mod and add my own timey wimey objects to..."
The man slid a small bag full of gold over to the little girl.

Faversham gave him a strange look before sliding the bag back towards him, not having any idea what he was demanding. Some sort of gun that could fire things at variable speed? She could do that. A gun that could speed up or slow down items? She hadn't the skills for that, though there were some strange things that could be done with the right configurations of piping and her own engine...
She really needed to work out how to replicate that, or at least the oddness of its steam.

"Oh, it's not complicated." the man said, sliding the bag back. "Just find an irragularity in time. It's easy. A bit easy. Well, it's hard. You just gotta find that point in your shop where you feel time is going slower. Then move that irregularity into a cannon, and you got a time cannon!"

"Please leave."
The bag was slid back.

"Pretty please? Just a normal cannon. I can make the necessary adjustments with my sonic screwdriver. Starting to think I came in too early in her timeline..."
