Seren and James in shadows of the multiverse!

-The Following events take place after season 1 and before season 2-

Once upon a time there was a boy. He made it his mission to stop his brother from causing chaos and also to get his heart back. He suceeded on both parts.

He had decided to travel alone to fight the evils of the multiverse using the power of the Glint-Glint Fruit. He vowed to shine light on the darkness and was willing to do it alone....

Then he met a thirteen year old girl who had a small crush on him and resembled his long dead sister. She has decided to tag along with him on his ongoing journey. Thankful for the companionship he takes her along on their own private journey through the multiverse!

The darklands, a terrible place of all encompassing darkness. Oozing...tainting anything it touched. Not the best stopoff during their travails...

"Okay Seren...if I cannot talk our way out of this...be prepared!"

[serendipital]

Seren laughed nervously, muttering something about Disney. She readied her hammer, saying, "It's always these kinds of places, isn't it? Never a nice place full of puppies and rainbows." She backed away from the shadows and nearer to James, figuring that a guy who could control light was probably the best in these situations.

[shiningknight]

Seren was completely right. James had generated a small beam of light around the both of them and each time the dark tried to grab them it burned.

"Okay guys I do not wish to hurt you....we were enroute to a holiday planet when you guys attacked us," said James a beam sword forming round his hand.

"This your last chance laddies. Let us pass or we will begin attacking you!"

"DEATH..." said the blob of darkness.

"Welp...think he made his choice!" sighed James "you take the six on the left...I'll take the six on the right."

[serendipital]

"Got it." Seren turned towards the right, readying her hammer. She made it grow into a giant size, the weight not affecting her, and swung it at the shadows. "Crap."

It was ineffective, so she moved a little further away from James so as to not get him hurt. While in the darkness, a blob managed to get to and touch her, but she didn't notice.

Once she had a healthy amount of distance, she slammed her hammer through a burning red seal in the air and onto the ground, causing a ring of fire around her. The fire turned into a dragon-like snake, and rampaged through the six blobs of darkness, evaporating them.

She wiped imaginary sweat from her for forehead, saying, "You good over there?"

James is being pounded into the ground like a whack a mole, mole. The only thing protecting him from a lingering death is his light barrier.

"Oh...-whack- I am -whack- quite fine! -whack-"

"Crush...." shouted the blobs turning away from James and forming into one massive blob aiming to kill the one who killed its brothers. It began to change its arm into a stabbing blade and sliced at Seren.

[serendipital]

"F-" Seren was cut off when the blade crashed onto and through her shoulder, narrowly avoiding a fatal hit. "Too close too close!" She readied her hammer again, making her dismembered arm move away from the battle slowly. If that thing's bones were crushed, she might not be able to repair it.

She slammed her hammer into the blob, grabbing James and yelling at him to move.

"Seren....you okay?!?" asked James rubbing his head as she pulled him away.

"KILL!" said the blobs as it began to run after them.

"What does it take to shake them off?"

[serendipital]

"I'm fine! What about you?" Seren ran with him for a bit before replying, "Hell if I know. There must be locals around here somewhere, right? Maybe they can tell us!" She scooped up her arm, scowling at it, and looked to James for a reply.

[shiningknight]

"I would assume so!" nodded James as he continued to run behind her "Heh hope you are not regretting tagging along...this is what, the fifth time we've been in peril since the events of well..." he is obviously thinking about the end of his Journey through the multiverse with Roy and co.

As they continued to run onwards losing the giant monster they ended up spotting a town in the distance.

"Of course not! This is fun!" Seren grinned wildly and sheathed her hammer in a holster on her leg. She lost the grin at the mention of Roy and Co. in favor of a thoughtful frown, then pointed at the town. With the battle-craze wearing off, she was much calmer. "I wonder how weird the locals will be?"

[shiningknight]

"Hopefully not too much!" grinned James as he took her hand and went towards the town.

The town was silent. Too silent

"Keep your guard up!" he said nodding to her.

[serendipital]

Seren nodded back, looking around wearily. Ghosts were probably one of her greatest fears, so this place was not the kind she wanted to be in.

She kept her hold on James hand, and experimentally kicked a pebble at a building. It would be kicked just hard enough to make a sound, if it hit. She wasn't the best at aiming.

[shiningknight]

The sound of a pebble kicking against the wall was enough to send out a townsmember to walk out wondering what the noise is.

"Oh god...you two...get in before the darkness claims you!" shouted the girl in horror.

[serendipital]

Seren darted into the girl's house, yelling, "Thanks!" as she passed by. The sooner she could get somewhere safe, the better. Hopefully this girl would have some kind of sewing kit.

[shiningknight]

The house belongs to a seamstress. James thanked the girl and then asked what was going on. The girl said her name was Chesney and this town was once a nice peaceful place until the blobs arrived. Apparently they were troopers of a much darker nightmarish being.

"Damn I hate seeing people in trouble like this..." said James angrily.

[serendipital]

"Convenient," Seren muttered. Louder, she said, "It's nice to meet you Chesney. Can you do me a favor and sew this," she gestured to her detached arm, "onto this?" She pointed at her shoulder with her detached arm, a trick she'd learned not too long ago. She hadn't quite managed to integrate it into combat yet.

At James's comment, she nodded slowly, eyebrows furrowing. "They don't deserve it. Chesney here seems nice enough, and for someone-thing, in this case-to take advantage of that is horrible."

[shiningknight]

Chesney begins to expertly sew Serens arm as David spoke to her.

"We need to repay the kindness somehow...shall we shine a little light on these guys?"

[serendipital]

Seren snorted at the pun, but nodded, smiling. "I would be surprised if we didn't." She turned to Chesney, asking, "So...do you happen to know where this "nightmarish being" is?"

[shiningknight]

Chesney nodded "he lives inside the castle our king used to frequent in,"

"House call time," he holds his hand up for a fist bump.

[serendipital]

Seren laughed and bumped James' fist with her own. "Time for an intervention."

[shiningknight]

James nods his head and walks out of the house

"Lets do this Seren!"

(sorry for the lateness...unexpected forced holiday)

[serendipital]

Seren walked until she reached the castle, its impressive architecture looming over the landscape. "Classy."

(S'okay. I was even worse.)

[shiningknight]

"Indeed must get one like this for myself one day to settle in...if I ever find a girl interested in me!" said James touching the walls with a smile.

[serendipital]

"I'm sure you will!" Seren gave a thumbs-up and scanned the area for any threats.
