Okay, but I'm not bowing to Raineh's pressure.

I don't think you should have copies of yourself running around just to use different powersets with the same character, either. >.>

Not sure what a planet shard is, but a Rheinland battleship is this fellow. The fighters in the foreground give some sense of scale, but this gives a much better idea (the tiny ships on the far right are fighters/freighters). Since it's admittedly a rather large ship (quite possibly too large for what Strat was thinking of), it may (or may not) be easier to go with a cut down variant or a Rheinland cruiser/gunboat (4th from left) or a Liberty battleship (2nd from left). @strat's fleet idea: Rheinland BS (no I won't shut up about it) would fit the first category due to sheer size; it'd also be easily modifiable to carry any number of weapons (we might even be able to "hollow out" the centre to allow it to carry a frickin' massive laser ala the Liberty cruiser (3rd from left on the last image I posted). Alternatively, we could go for something like one of the Sleeper Ships (they're painted jet black instead of the grey of the render), though they'd need to be extensively modified (they mostly contained life support and cryogenic pods since they were meant to carry humanity to another part of the galaxy entirely). They do have some weapons, but again, their main point was to transport people safely and efficiently across absolutely vast distances. If you wanted, you could go with one of those as the "hospital ship" or what-have-you. Raineh does have a point in that "big ship" is rather ambiguous. @multiple variants of characters: I think it's safe to say that's only a good idea if the "variants" are sufficiently different from each other (so having two versions of one character who're exactly the same aside from one being called "Bob" and the other "Bab" probably isn't a good idea). Then again, I have been getting dumb ideas recently, so perhaps I'm not one to judge.

Macross class ships are large enough to house small cities inside them, come with a powerful wave motion gun AND are one of the few types of battleship that can punch other battleships in the face. Just saying, is all. >.> Niice. I was thinking about some battleplates or bigger from Schlock Mercenary which are kinda on that level - large enough for small cities, have some massive gravitic generators for the wave motion gunning... They can't punch other ships in the face though, that's a clear advantage (and more the reasons to add Macross to my to-watch pile) A shard. Of a planet. In a pocket dimension all of it's own. Normally it's a whole planet actually (created as a result of Book of Prophecy running it's course), but the plan is to have it seriously damaged in the opening so as not to have the massive resources and magic power provided by it rule the game. It's also in addition to the ships, we won't be flying Warcraft's Outland between planets XD Sweeet. I know they're from Kingdom Hearts...but whenever I hear "Gummi ship", it makes me think of some bizzare Gummi Bears IN SPACE! show. ...Probably not helped by the whole "Disney" bit... >.> Yeah, me too. Or ship composed of gummy bears. How the hell would they get that many people and resources, anyway? Meh, in my opinion for example Petey (Schlock Mercenary again) can be rather easily swayed for the cause (greater good is what he does) and maybe some multiversal tech or magic access. He has really grandiose resources at his disposal and while he still has troubles he mainly devotes to, mutual benefit can land us quite a lot. We could also, for example, get some colonisation tech and claim an empty planet anywhere in the galaxy, get the robots colonise it and turn it into a supply base. Don't want armament? Use this!. Good luck getting it started. Or working out how to use the weapons. >.> Shard Jail :V I am seriously thinking of having a second Ciarán in S2. With SP Elemental Powers. All future characters will be variations on Ciarán. We'd start having to give them name tags. Sounds fun. Do eeeeet

Sharding Jail is both a dick move and an incredibly bad idea. Yes, just put the person tailor-made to be a genius mad scientist into your head. No way that one can end badly. Also, not like he necessarily knew how to use the weapons, they were never fired due to lack of crew. And that 'huge, endless amount of resources' thing would go completely against... pretty much everything anyone's decided. So... not happening, fortunately. >.<

Then why mention it if not to make people think you will? Does anyone want to use that capability, though, after the LAST use it was put to, Psy?

Did you even read the post in context?
You asked where would we get the amount of resources Strat plans to have. I pointed out just one place where it is very easy to get just that or even more if we would be doing that.

Okay, comparison of Ciaráns:
Lilim Ciarán: Age: 16 Appearance: Tall, Obese, Brown Hair, Blue Eyes, Glasses. No sense of style. Powers, Abilities and Weapons: Powers of Minecraft Players, Diamond Pickaxe Origin: Lilim, October 30th 2012.
New Ciarán: Age: 28 Appearance: Tall, Slim, Brown Hair, Blue Eyes, no glasses. Khaki all round. Powers, Abilities and Weapons: SP Elemental, meaning throwing fireballs, hand flame-throwers, manipulation of water (can form liwuid water from moisture in air, walking on water, manipulating currents), what amounts to force push, flying, able to read disturbances in the air, and able to turn self to stone for random, possibly decades long period of time. Military training. Will be carrying an assault rifle with underslung M203 and sidearm. Origin: World of Modern Warfare, October 30th 2016
Different Enough?

Different strokes for different folks. If he wishes to use such a weapon, it's perfectly within his rights to do so. Aaaaaanyway, Addy: Ah, I see. I'm kind of surprised I didn't figure that out sooner, considering it's right in the name.

Also, picking an assault rifle removes all possible balancing factors AND removes all style points.

We've already had this line of conversation (and brought it to a conclusion), and suffice to say that now isn't a good time to reopen it (since it never seems to go anywhere good). I will merely state that I disagree and that style is subjective.

The previous line of discussion was about a handgun.
It's safe to say that any ideas to make that balanced fall apart with an assault rifle that has a grenade launcher attached.
Also, GCR? Psy's second SI isn't even a straight SI, this is just you, aged up and stuck in the army, then given a bunch more stuff. Not really much of a difference. Oh, right, and it's got the same damn name. Try a more imaginative OC?

OK GCR, this is how you write a second SI with sufficient difference: - Name: Kazé
- Age: 14
- Gender: Male.
- Race: Human
- Appearance: Short and slight with brown eyes and neck-length brown hair with a white streak in it down the left side of his face; the result of the damage being done to his body by his Heartless side. Wears a Black Robe he stole from his replica after defeating it.
- Chosen Power/Tech: Has a black Keyblade he dubbed the "Raven's wing" purely on the basis of its design; the blade, head and hilt guards all bear some manner of wing-like motif. He also has access to basic magic, in particular fire, blizzard, thunder and cure spells.
- Extra: Taifu: Kazé's "evil" half, the result of his blood being tainted by Heartless matter. Eschews the Keyblade for more powerful magic. Typically released if Kazé is knocked out during battle. Otherwise he's just a voice in the teen's head.
- World of Origin: World of Kingdom Hearts; Destiny Islands
- Faction: TBD
- Personality: Rendered slightly reclusive after some of his experiences, but still light hearted and jocular.
- Bio: Born and raised on the Destiny Islands, Kazé managed to miss its destruction by the Heartless and reconstruction, but only because he'd been kidnapped some time before and locked inside of a virtual world by Organisation XIII as part of an experiment.
Following his release, but still operating under a fabricated identity, he helped Sora and his friends halt a resurgent Heartless threat and undo the damage caused, and in the process regained his old memories.
However, one of the battles he fought during this time left him tainted; darkness released by a recently destroyed Heartless entered an open wound on his arm, slowly corrupting him, and causing him to leave his home again and go wandering the worlds in search of a solution...

That sounds about right, now that I think about it Ad. I was racking my brain trying to think of what 'verse could possibly have such things.
@dbl:
Nice example.
@raineh:
Please, let's just drop it. I'm kind of regretting defending GCR now (not that there's anything wrong with him, mind - I just thought that it wouldn't become another Big Thing).
