And the problem is I'm still running on that stupid SI obsession I've had for the last five years or more.

Well, you could always take this as an opportunity to break that habit... Either that or just have Jenny be a girl the whole time, which... Honestly, I don't think anyone would have a problem with.

*sigh*
I really don't know what to do anymore. I'm in half a mind to just give up, run away and hide. It'd have the same effect.

I'm still having one hell of a time trying to figure out what powers to give my SI. I don't know how the hell everyone else does it some times. In other news, I've got the strangest hankering to play Emile as well as my SI (may or may not need to do something about his belligerence, though at least it'd provide an opportunity for character development).

Also considering changing up some of the worlds so it won't be TOO much of a Reboot... Since we're going for Rebuild 2 and all that.

I have confirmed to myself that I will split Nicholas into two characters.
Nicholas Santos will be the wise cracking baffoon with Ultraman Zero's Sluggers and Color Timer with an alligence to Dai-Shocker. While the other Nicholas, Nick Chida, will be the Samaritan Syndrome-affected man with the Shard of the Phoenix Phantom from Kamen Rider Wizard (Massive Playing With Fire Powers) And Maaaaaaaaaaaaaybe Subject Psyga with Kamen Rider Meteor's Powers.

So, got an idea about what I'm doing for my characters in this. So far, the response to it has been pretty good, I'm hoping that it'll work out. Basically, planning on having my SI as a pair of siblings (yes, I know Rain did kind of the same thing in the main RP, sorry). So, Tachi (same appearance as in the main RP) will have fire and earth magic...meaning fireballs and extremely sharp thrown rocks at first eventually getting up to meteor showers and earthquakes later and some other stuff in between, obviously working with Dai-Shocker because of the potential collateral damage he'd have later. Personalitywise, um...basically, kind of an asshole. And good!Tachi/whatever I name her will have water and air magic, meaning lightning bolts, ice shards, wind manipulation and surprisingly dangerous blades made out of water vapour as well as wind barriers to screw with projectiles, an electrical field for a very temporary barrier and assorted healing/support spells working with the good guys. Personalitywise, um...basically me, except with less of the occassional jerkishness. The main reason for wanting to do things this way, honestly, is that I want to use both sides of the elementalist skillset, but most of the fire and earth stuff's too collateral damage-y for a good guy and the water and air half is too...well, there's lightning and ice shards, but for the most part, it's defensive, nonlethal or otherwise support oriented, not exactly something someone using the other stuff would be likely to want to use. Also, I kinda want to play a villain but at the same time...a lot of the PCs so far (and basically every SI except one of Psy's and maybe August) seem to be with the good guys and I don't really want to shut myself off from being able to interact properly with most of the cast. Also, looking at these for appearance options for the second one. Also also, the Nadesico should totally be the good guys' ship. >.> <.<

Alrighty, I'll be playing My SI, still named Falkon, with Toph's powers on the good guy side, Mary once again with Majora's Mask(and minus the unintended perversity) as an unaligned crazy, and Tumek, with an undetermined powerset on Dai-Shocker's side. Also, even though the Defiant is awesome, the Nadesico thing does sound like a better HQ.

Although the Nadesico looks cool I still prefer the idea of the Defiant, personally. Also, I have no preference for which appearance you choose, Tachi. As for my own SI, I have no idea what they'll look like (aside from the fact that they'll wear an Operator visor). They'll fill the role of ship captain while we're in SPAAAACE (multiversal or otherwise). Outside of it? I don't know. It's not like there's very much a non-powered character can achieve. Still intending on playing Emile, since there's plenty of potential for character development.

joining up with August with The Ripple instead of his previous powers, though I haven't found a picture for him yet.
My vote is for the Nadesico as a ship since it's both a battleship and has comfortable living quarters.

Yeah, Sam's coming back in. Same moveset, and everything. I'm working on drawing a picture of her. (which I was already doing for DBL's Magical Girl thing, but eh.)

Calling it now, this will totally be canon.
Also, I wonder if the good guy faction will still be called the Brotherhood or not...?
I finished Emile's character sheet too - now I just wish Flanker's sheet would stop being so bloody stubborn so I could fill it out as well!

So, um...
Vita's not going to have cartridges, which means she can't use the really breaky stuff that Eisen can do at first. She can still use Schwablefliegen and Raketenhammer, though.
Ryougi will be suffering from a headache at first, meaning it will be difficult for her to focus on the more fiddly things, like spells or disease, in order to cut them. On top of this, magic from other universes will be difficult for her to kill until she can decipher it later on. The headache will go away later, but not until everyone else has progresses ability-wise.

Think I'll make Metalbending a midseason upgrade for Fal, since that was what it was in it's own universe anyway.
Wish I could decide on a power for Tumek, though...
Oh, will we be using the same sheet as in the original JTTM, or will it be different? If it is, I'll start writing 'em up now.

Post by Rain on Dec 9, 2012 7:28:09 GMT -5
Rain yawned and stretched as she walked, shivering a little in the cool morning air. Eugh... winter, how annoying. A large part of the coldness was her fault, though: she had her jacket tied around her waist rather than actually worn. Why? Well, it was too warm with it on. There was just no pleasing some people. At least the sunglasses served some purpose: with all the snow around it made actually seeing anything much easier.
Stupid glare.
The white-haired girl warmed up considerably as she arrived at the reason for her excursion: a shop just down the road, to buy a drink. So what if constant sugary drinks were bad for her health? She liked them.
Rain slowed down as she passed by the freezers just in front of the door. Nothing new in that one, mostly sandwiches and the like. Next one along... hmm, what to get. So much choice, so little—hey, that was new, and there was only one can! Grabbing the new drink (even though she couldn't really read the name—'Hurrah'? It was stylised to oblivion. Definitely looked like an energy drink, though) and reaching into her pocket, the tall girl headed for the counter and paid with scarcely a word. 99p, like almost everything she bought here.
The can was opened with a hiss as she started back up the road, determined to ignore the chill in her fingers in favour of drinking as much of this as soon as possible. It had a weird flavour, that was sure, like someone had taken the 'base' energy drink recipe and added something weird to it. It wasn't exactly bad, though, so Rain took a second swig, not noticing as the slight cold she'd had for the past few days cleared up.
Then she took a third, with no idea what she'd just done.

And having looked over Tumek (sic)'s sign-up, I just know he and Emile will be best buds (even if they are on opposite sides) or, at the very least, worthy opponents to each other. At least once he gets over the whole alien part of the equation.
Also, my sign-up's almost finished - I just need a reply PM from Stratofarius.
EDIT:
And speak of the devil GM!

It isn't a full reboot, rather it's a "semi-reboot" - S1 will continue to its' conclusion as normal.
Anyway, do we know how the RP will begin (I understand that there's probably still a lot that needs working out, but my curiousity's killing me)?
Also, I hope that SR!Flanker won't turn out as dull as main!Flanker... I know Emile should hopefully be fun to play with, but that's because of a variety of factors. I always find my own SIs a bit of an unknown quantity.

Flanker: It will begin like how the original began. Two warring factions battle over Earth. Both factions give killing blows, but both leaders manage to survive and retreat off to recruit more members. The shards and tech fall into the Earth, along with Nanabey and the news of Nanabey being discovered serves as a sort of hook to string along the characters... Or just random teleportion because Deus is a troll.

Ah, I see! I'm really excited. @anno: For my part, I'm looking forward to having Emile develop from abrasive, bloodthirsty jerk to... well... a grudgingly respectful bloodthirsty jerk. There's only so much that being around people like ourselves will do. Also tormenting my SI, or at least making things annoying, since I've had it too good for too long.

Ryougi is going to be awesome and Vita's going to be fun since she always is and Anno's going to be fun and Shammy's going to be a pervert which is usually pretty funny so yay!
