Alright, so here's an idea some of us had: what if we went back to the beginning of JTTM, but with the current cast?
The thing is, back in those days, half of the people that are part of this community weren't with us, and almost everyone that was part of the original group of players left the RP after two months or so. Not counting the huge amount of people that entered the RP and left it a while later.
Think about it: what if there was some sort of AU version of JTTM with the current cast? We're a "closed" community, the chances of anyone coming in are pretty slim, so there won't be a problem with people coming and leaving after two weeks. Plus, we could try and re-do things with the group of players we have now. Who knows what path the game would take if certain players had been with us since the beginning, or if certain characters were among the ones that found themselves teleported to the Ha'tak after finding a mysterious shard?
Of course, there would be massive nerfs all around, but this would be a fun thing to do. The Main RP would still go on, but the idea of having an AU where everyone was there from the beginning is very... how to put it... enticing. Certainly get the mind juices flowing.

Hm... Maybe I would probably make a new character who gets a shard to illustrate how Shards work... Or should I leave that guy out?

I find the idea kind of interesting. Unfortunately, my brain keeps going with the same few powersets again and again and I'd like to do something a bit more interesting than what I already have come up with.

Also, probably going to completely redo Moerin. And then somehow figure out how to fit Jolokia into this. Hmmm...

I'm going to re-do some characters.
Michael will probably still have a power from FMA, just not sure who. Maybe not even Roy.
Will completely re-do Kios, cause I want him to start with the Brotherhood. Same powers, tho.
Will also change Alicia's powerset, maybe even her backstory, because I want her to start with Dai-Shocker.
Might even do a couple of new chars. This does mean Falkon gets a chance at having a character with Toph's shard, like he wanted to.

Hmm... In fact, we might need to redo a lot of stuff... Which leads me to referring to what I call the "Rebuild Options". These are three options that deal with reboots like these. So, these are the options: - Rebuild 1, The Alone Option: Leave the story be and have it be completely intact, changing only a few things for easier story.
- Rebuild 2, The Advance Option: Change up several story elements, some to the point where they could wind up changing the story in the grand scheme of things.
- Rebuild 3, The Redo Option: Completely change up the story, to the point where it could probably be its own story entirely.
So far, we're probably going for Rebuild 2. I'm not going for Rebuild 3 unless it's a last resort.

I think Rebuild 2 sounds more like what we want to do. We want to see what would happen if the current cast of players were the ones at the beginning of the RP.
And also giving them the chance of changing around their characters. Chances are things will be really different.

Flanker will still be with the Brotherhood; I don't know if I still want Elpizo involved or not. Of course, it'd help if I could actually think of a goddamn powerset to use (since I want to mix things up a little). Also, I still say our new ship should be the Forward Unto Dawn, because that shit's so cash. Alternatively, something from Star Wars. :V

Hm... Should I rework how Shard Extraction works? Like say, replacing Nanabey with the Shard Extractor or just keeping the two and saying they produce the same kind of shards?

So... Ship ideas! White Base, although whether or not it would have the mecha come with it would be up to everyone else, I guess. Nadesico, doubly so because, as a civilian warship, it's actually filled with creature comforts and would be a pretty nice place to hang about between conflicts. Astro Megaship, because it can turn into a giant robot. >.> <.< ...At least, those are the ones that come to mind instantly that aren't far too big. Hmmm...

Double posting because I'm not sure if anyone will see it otherwise.
The fact is I made two stupid mistakes here: 1. I pushed forward with an idea without making sure everyone was OK with it. 2. I assumed it would devolve into the dreaded A-word despite this not happening because of it before. (It happened in JTTM proper because she lost control and tried to kill someone leading her to assume everyone would reject her. Not because she became a girl.)
But the end result is that I now have two RPs to re-plan for because I screwed up this badly.

Hurm... Like I said, just go with the planned powerset, but make the character female from the get-go. It cuts out the one thing that was making someone uncomfortable whilst still making it usable and sticking pretty close to the original idea.
